morning friends!!
tiffjake, no i dont eat straight cream cheese. that sounds funny just typing it. ha ha. i usually mix it with an ounce of whipped cream, add some splenda and divincis sf vanilla and a little bit of baking cocoa. it really helps when you are wanting somthing sweet!! i think i need to concentrate on drinking more water. i started eating heavy whipped cream later in the evening, (as a little sweet treat) and had a hard time with portion control. just becasue i can eat large amounts of calories on this WOE, doesnt mean i should go over the recommended allowance of cream! those nasty little cravings! arghhh. i think i will do some research on supplements that can help sugar cravings. i am on to day four of induction!! another red x for me on my calander!! going shopping for some lc food later this afternoon with the kiddies! last night, i picked up some artichokes at the market! i forgot about how yummy these are! planning on eating some tonight with dinner. speaking of artichokes, there is a delicous recipe for artichoke dip over on the recipe thread. check it out!! you eat it with celery sticks! (i havent tried it yet!) have a great day everyone! v

Happy Fat Burnin' Friday Friends!
Wow, quite a bit to catch up with...so nice to read all the support, insight and encouragement! Very nice place ![]() Not much to report, TOM coming, so no loss to report. I started adding in veggies and protein last night...and the ketostix are showing it...back down to light, light pink. This is the pattern with me. Only the FF really gets my body burning. I will keep on my plan to stick with regular induction through Sunday night and then I will return to the FF. I LOVE Netrition! I order quite frequently. This time it was the Coffee Belgian Waffle cookies, SF marshmallows, ketostix, liquid stevia and LC BBQ sauce. My plan is to use the waffle cookies, SF marshmallows and 85% Lindt dark chocolate to make LC S'mores when we use our fire pit this spring. I NEVER deviate from my plan, and I don't really have a sweet tooth, but I am looking forward to enjoying that time with my family. It's funny, after living this LC lifestyle for 13 months, this one thing seems to be the only "treat" that I have really tried to figure out a way to make LC. The kids will think it's cool if I indulge with them ![]() Peace to you all

Well, SF is sugar free, FF is Fat Fast and I do Atkins. Netrition is a site where you can order specifically LC items for a LC woe.
Check it out, the waffle cookies are delicious and under 3 grams carbs for 3 wafers. |

Goodmorning everyone..Feeling a little low here today. I lost that first 5 pounds the first week and now tomorrow is day 14 and I have not lost anymore weight. I am only down 1½ inches total on my waist as well since starting. can you drink to much water? I am going through about 12 or more cups a day. I gave up coffee on day 3 of Induction and I am only drinking a couple of cups of green tea in the morning. I know it is hard to exercise do to my heart problem so I can only go for about 20min mile walks but I try to walk for at least 45 -60 minutes. Oh well I am not one to give in so I am going to keep going. Obviously another week on Induction though..

Good Morning Beauties!!
I'm so happy it's Friday! I'm finally getting back down again, my splurge on Monday! YUCK! I hope to be under 200 by the weekend or next week! Lord help me!!! Hi Jen, oh go ahead with your refeed! Hi Jaimie, after awhile you need to add the veggies in. I can relate to that!! Those lc carb treats sound really great! I think I need to place an order too with netrition now! I really love the banana flavored davinci! I used that in my baking and would like to make a cake with it. But you really are doing great Jaimie!!! ![]() Hi Buddys, I know it seems like you're not losing alot but hang in there, you'll see the lbs drop. When I did induction, I ate! I never skimped on the protein and fat, I did stick to the amounts for the veggies and salads, but on the other, I did eat until full. On the exercise, whatever you can do is good. Don't over work yourself if you can't, it will come naturally. You're doing great!! I know you'll start losing again!! ![]() Hi JuicyJenny, I bet you'll see a loss by tomorrow. For some reason it takes your body a few days to rid it from the carbs and sugars. Exercising is a great thing do while starting out! You'll see the lbs drop faster!! You're doing great! Keep up the good work!!! ![]() Hi Viv, yeah on day 4!!! You can do it!! I would probably cut back on some of the cream cheese and cream. I may be preventing you from losing. I know it's a big staller, but only you can know for sure. ![]() Hang in there, you're doing great!!! LOL! Tiff!! I know what you mean! I'm feel terrible if I can't remember who is on here!! Don't worry, this isn't a memory contest!! LOL!! You're going great! Hoping you see some losses soon!!! ![]() Hi mama! You had me laughing at the jethor bowl of cereal! That's funny because I felt like eating Apple Jacks and Captain Crunch. I love those two cereals!!! Did you know that LindaSue has a recipe that she makes with pork rinds! You can melt some butter and add some splenda and cinnamon to it the get the pork rinds and toss the butter, S and C in a plastic bag. It's really good believe it or not. But she uses pork rinds to make a cereal that tastes like CTC!! I know it has to be TOM! So don't worry about it, you'll see your whoosh when it's gone!! I'll talk to everyone else when they post!!! Love ya Ladies!! Menu: B-2 scrambled eggs, 3 thin, small slices of breakfast steak L- nothing, short day D- fish!! Water 1 mile-elliptical

Diana?? I was just on your blog and noticed the Chocolate Glaze..I was wondering if this would turn out with Hersheys unsweetend baking bar(1 square =4 carbs,2 fiber,0 sugar,7fat {4 sat fat} 80 cal, Net carbs 2 all divided by 6 for the 6 oopsie)LOL I have no Lindt chocolate in the house(I would eat it all) and I just made an extra batch of OOpsie rolls and figured I could frost them and make them a dessert..
thanks Couldn't wait..lol I made them I figure them at 1.5 net carbs each?? ![]() Last edited by buddysgirl50 : 05-16-2008 at 11:38 AM. |

You could probably use some heavy cream and the bar and the davinci for a glaze. I think that's what I was going to do too. |

Morning everyone. Been a crazy couple of days, food wise, at my house. I didn't give in to temptation though. Went to lunch at a local Mexican restaurant and I did NOT eat the tortilla chips (yay me!). Had the Arroz con pollo minus the arroz and the tortillas. The waiter finally got it when I told him "no grains." Celiac disease has been a great means of enlightening a lot of people.
I saw on the menu they listed "gluten-free" items so figured he'd "get it" when I nixed the grains. didn't bother to tell him I'm on low carb and not gluten-free. End result is the same.Anyhoo. Ate way too many nuts yesterday (I keep a bowl of mixed raw almonds, walnuts, pecans and pumpkin seeds on the counter ... bad bad). Was just plain HUNGRY. Should have had some kind of protein and fat but just kept nibbling till I finally figured out what was the problem. Had an ounce of camembert and that fixed it until the evening. Was afraid to get on this scale this morning. So. Late breakfast. have not had one of those muffin-in-a-minute numbers for a couple of weeks. the fiber was NOT helping. It was actually clogging me up. So I thought today I'd fix one and adjust the recipe a bit. I used 1TBS flaxmeal, 1 TBS coconut flour, 2 TBS almond meal, 2TBS coconut oil, and the rest the usual. Was pretty good. Had a definite "muffin" texture to it. thought it was a tad dry so glad I used the extra CO. I'd read elsewhere that coconut flour was kinda dry. Liked the flavor. had 4 sausage links with it and 2 soft boiled eggs and slathered the muffin with marscapone. Now my belly's all poochy from the fiber. sigh. Hope I don't have to resort to MoM in a day or two. No idea what I'm fixing later today. Need to go dive into the freezer and see what I have. have a great friday everyone!

I was going to make some chocolate rev rolls. Oh see Cleo's blog! She makes these sweet ones with the rev rolls.
I'll post it! Chocolate Glaze 2 Lindt 80% dark chocolate squares (buy in candy bar) 1 Tbsp davincis vanilla sugar free syrup 2 small packets Splenda 2 Tbsp heavy whipping cream 2 Tbsp butter In a microwavable bowl, combine ingredients. Microwave for 30 seconds. Stir well. Dip tops of crullers into mixture. Drizzle any remaining mixture to fill bare spots. Let crullers rest on cooling rack until glaze has set. Will coat 6-8 crullers, and can be used for other purposes. This does dry to a shiny glaze. The Lighter Side of Low-Carb: Mind Your Doughnuts and Glaze into my Eyes... |

Hi Darleen! Good to see you!!!
I don't know what it is about the nuts, but I get that way too with them. I need but the unsalted kind though so I don't retain water. I actually like the co flour. I make LindaSue's coconut pound cake with it and it's pretty good! Good for you for not giving in!!! :high5: |
