Hi Jen,
I think that creme drink may have just made you retain water. No way is that fat! I would drink water and I bet that will come off by tomorrow morning. Did you weigh yourself just now? Wait until the morning to weigh again after your bm. Don't worry about that! You'll be fine!! Yeah Drew, isn't that weird how we think about our weight like that and how it affects our every part of our lives? Maybe I need some happy pills! LOL!! But we'll get through it! It helps just coming here and talking to all of you!! ![]() Ahh Mama, I'm sorry to hear you got sick! I hope you're going to be alright? Take it easy and get some rest if you can. We're here for you!! ![]() Oh Jen, I have heard of that Jay Robb powder. I may have to check that out. I think I know where to buy it from too. Thanks for letting me know!! I agree with Drew about the exercise. If it wasn't for that I know I would still be struggling with my weight loss. It does help even if it's only a 30 min walk, that's something. ![]()

Di - enjoy your evening with hubby!! i know how they can be "needy" sometimes! hahaha
and i did enjoy that Jay Robb brand protein powder. i have nothing to compare it to since is only kind i've had, but there is no wierd taste, it's very fine texture and has a great taste. the sample pack i bought at store was like $1.89. i did squeeze in exercise today, almost a half hour while dinner was cooking since it was going to take awhile. i've been walking more rest of the week since the scheduled work out time wasn't going to work. next week i know i'll be back on a sched. w/workouts. i did weigh this a.m. and after i got home from work because i couldn't believe it was showing a jump like that!! i don't feel it either. so i think something was wrong.. darn scale!! ![]() sorry you are feeling sick Mama!! that doesn't sound like the induction flu i had! maybe you really are coming down w/something? i hope you feel better!!! ![]() Vivian - yes i think you are correct on those ratios. i am trying to use Fit Day too and get a better idea of it. good luck w/it! hhahaha have a good night ladies! see ya tomorrow!

![]() Hi guys Sorry I've been MIA. Just really busy. We are leaving for Missouri tomorrow. My niece is graduating from college. So I was packing and getting things straight here. You know having the mail picked up and doggy care. My SIL is going to watch my baby. I didn't eat much today coffee in the A.M. and 2 hotdogs and some veggies and dip. Just too busy to be hungry. ![]() Diana- I don't think there are any hidden carbs I am doing things like I did 9 years ago no net carbs and under 20 every day. So I just don't care anymore. I am still going to eat this way just not obsess over it ya know. That is the only thing I can think of that is different from the last time. Besides the fact that I'm 41 now instead of 32. that makes a difference too I am sure. So I won't be here until Monday. I know I will have pages to read to catch up. But don't have too much fun without me guys!!!!!!![]() Love ya ALL! ![]()

Hey everyone! You post so much it is hard to keep up!
Trish- Glad you are feeling better! And good work on working-out! I loath working out....I really love swimming, and I keep meaning to get a membership to the Y but I think I would end up not going as much as I think I would.... Diana- I agree with (who ever mentioned it....) about Melatonin. I have used it before and it is great! I have funky sleep patterns too, because I am a night owl, and I really HATE mornings!! Dang-it, I was reading 3 pages worth of posts and now I don't remember everyone I was going to reply to! Anyway, GUESS WHAT?!?! My scale was broken!! I was stuck at 254.5 for 3 days, and I got pissed, and I was talking to my husband about it, and he said he thought the scale was wrong. Sure enough, we go to the guest bath and step on the (spare) scale, and it was 6 POUNDS LIGHTER!!! So he put workout weights on both scales and the spare was the right weight, so I am actually 6 pounds lighter than I thought I was!!!! WooHoo!!!!!! Its like finding money in the dryer! I hope the weight-loss fairy brings you all wooshes tonight! |

Blessed Thursday Everyone!
Tiff, WOW 6 pounds...that is 24 sticks of butter ![]() Mama, I hope you are better today...that doesn't sound like induction flu my friend! Christina, hope you are having a better day today too! Trish...great job on the exercise...you are an inspiration! Everyone sounds great, and Jen...don't stress, there is absolutely NO way you gained 10 pounds of fat overnight. Something is wrong with the scale, or you will have a huge water whoosh soon. The Fat Fast is certainly what works for me, so I think I will continue to follow it on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, then add in veggies and protein the rest of the days of the week. I need to get some work done, but I will check in later. Peace

Good morning all!!! Wow, Tiff, way to go!! I got up this morning to another
1 1/2 lbs gone...woohoo ![]() ![]() Sounds like everyone is doing really well. For those of you who are stuck please don't give up...you will lose it. This is probably the easiest diet in the world and you don't need a bunch of expensive pills either which is the nice part about it. As for support, you couldn't be in a better place. It's amazing how many friends you can make in here. I think it would be terrific if, at some point, we could all meet up somewhere central and have a get together. One big party ![]() ![]() Thought this might be good for those who like soup: Chunky Chicken and Vegetable Soup 1 tblspn vegetable oil 1 boneless, skinless chicken breast (4 oz) diced 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper 2 green onions, sliced 1/2 cup thinkly sliced celery 2 cans (13 1/2 oz ea) chicken broth 1 cup water 2 tblspn cream 1/2 cup sliced carrots (can leave out if you want) 1 tblspn finely chopped parsley 1/4 tspn dried thyme 1/8 tspn pepper Heat oil in large saucepan over medium heat. Add chicken; cook, stirring frequently until no longer pink. Stir in bell pepper, onions and celery. Cook until vegetables are tender, about 7 mins. Add broth, water, cream, carrots, parsley, thyme and pepper. Simmer 10 mins or until carrots are tender. Runs about 4g carbs Have a blessed day Mary ![]() You know you are living in 2008 when... 1. You pull up in your own driveway and use your cell phone to see if anyone is home to help you carry in the groceries. 2. You haven't played solitaire with real cards in years. 3. You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of three. 4. You e-mail the person who works at the desk next to you. 5. Your reason for not staying in touch with friends and family is that they don't have e-mail addresses. 6. You accidentally enter your password on the microwave. 7. Every commercial on television has a web site at the bottom of the screen. 8. Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn't have the first 20 or 30 (or 60) years of your life, is now a cause for panic and you turn around to go and get it. 10. You get up in the morning and go on line before getting your coffee. 11. You're reading this and nodding and laughing. 12. Even worse, you know exactly to whom you are going to forward this message. 13. You are too busy to notice there was no #9 on this list. 14. You actually scrolled back up to check that there wasn't a #9 on this list. (yep, I did!, grin) AND NOW U R LAUGHING at yourself. And Yes, I was laughing and I did scroll back to see that there wasn't a #9

I get really tired and sleepy, and have a hard time waking up in the morning. I didn't exercise today. I just allowed myself to sleep in for a while. I'll do it tomorrow. Menu B- 2 scrambled eggs, 3 slice ls deli ham L- chicken strips D- a protein and cottage cheese. Water Talk to Everyone soon!!! Lin where are you!!! goodmorning every one.. Well I am up that pound and it does not want to drop. I walked for an hour yesterday and the day before. I am drinking 10 or more ups of water a day. Oh well I am sure it will drop off soon. I am down 1in on my waist and 3/4 in off the bust.
TiffJake How exciting to find out it was the scale..wish that could be my problem but I just put a new battery in it a while ago..it is one of the WeightWatcher scales. Diana I am sure you will like that Pizza it was so good. I cut it into 6 pieces so I will have a piece for lunch. My glucose is still doing wonderful. I am so happy about that. Breakfast 2 eggs 1 oopsie 3 pieces of precooked bacon(I bought the Oscar Meyer ones this time and find them a little saltier than Kroger brand) Lunch will be 1/6 of my pizza with a small lettuce and 1oz tomato salad Dinner 3oz chicken, ½ cup caulifower,1 ½ oz of lettuce with salad dressing 1/3 cup of lemon pudding( I divided it into 3 little cups instead of 2) Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes My DaVinci syrups have arrived and I am ready to order some more flavors. I hope every one has a wonderful Atkins day |

portion control for my cream cheese!
hello team!!
JUICYJENNY i made shrimp stir-fry last night, it was a nice change from my usual, chicken breast and salad!! diana gave good advice when she said to check out lindasues web page....its loaded with great recipes! i should try more of them!! so, i had been struggling with eating to much cream cheese....now i have a plan!! cutting up the cream cheese block (i buy it in bulk) into 3oz serving sizes, putting them in individual baggies, and freezing them! that way, i will only eat one baggie at a time.....i can take one out in the am, and by late afternoon i can have a cream cheese concoction!! had a great lunch, sauteed baby shrimp in butter and seasonings, and added romaine lettuce, cheddar and ranch dressing for a very fulfilling meal! topping it off with an iced coffee as we speak--i mean type! you all are wonderful! keep on moving towards that goal ladies! Great idea with the cream cheese. What i am doing is cutting my 4 oz of cheese each morning and putting it into a small dish..when that is gone then that is it for the day..I take into consideration if I used it in any cooking as well for the day.Like you I just love cheese and especially cream cheese. lol I guess we all find our own little helpful ideas and it is great reading the boards and finding out how everyone else is doing it.. I had only been using 3 TBSP of heavy cream a day until I went back and read the induction pages in my book and realized it said 3oz..lol..makes a difference to that whip cream for topping my pudding Well we are getting some nice weather the rest of the week so I am going to go and cut the lawn(mine, and two neighbors) One because I like them and the other one because they have tons of dandilions and have not come down to their site to cut their lawn and I don't want all those dandilion seeds in my yard. Will check in later.. |
