Boy, did I take forever to post! I just missed a few of them!

Well Hi Moretta! Of course you can join us! Doing Atkins this time around? I keep going back and forth from Atkins and Stillmans. I'm not confused though! Yes, stick around!! We're going to have to give you a nickname because we have another Mary and we don't want to confuse both of you.

Hi Mamaguck! Welcome too! Hope you're doing great!!

Hi Chris, we actually ended up doing a lunch on Saturday. It was really nice, fun and I stayed on plan! I can't believe it!
I'm glad your day went wonderufully, and whoohoo, being in the hot tub!! Sounded romantic!!!

Boy, how many books, did Atkins come out with? I have the 72 which I love, but originally started with the 2000.

heeeeeellllllllo! Ladies
I havnt been on this much this weekend I hope everyone did well and hope the Moms had a great mothers day!
Ok so I messed up royally this weekend!(that seems to be when I blow it!) Sat, I had a handfull of cheetos, and 3 bites of a waffle with syurup. I guess that wasnt as bad but sunday I ate low carb untill dinner time ugh! I had 2 breaded onion rings then we made shish cabobs marinated in teriaki that had 5 grams of sugar 5 grams of carbs with pineapple and I ate a small spoonfull of rice with bell peppers but the worst of it was that hubby bought a big box of ding dongs and a gallon of choc milk ugh I could have killed him lol but I did eat 1 ding dong and a cup of chocolate milk!~fell so guilty but hey eh what can you do but hit the gym ard and get vack on track! I have realized as long as I have sugar free jello I am ok and dont care about the other things in the house and my will power was so bad it was sad lol
but today so far I have had.....
B-2 eggs and 3 peices of turkey bacon
L-small garden salad with cesar dressing
D-breaded porkchops (breading is prkrinds and a cucumber salad
S-sugar free jello
and then hit the gym
I hope ya all did better than I did hee hee
have a wonderful day and if you fell off the carb wagon like I did get back on and forgett about it

Thank you so much I never thought to use prkrinds as a breading for my food. What a great idea. Now that is why I like to read the boards

good morning everyone. It is actually suppose to start warming up here this week. May and still in the low 40's in the morning. Well I did good yesterday although the calorie count was high, and when I weighed in this morning I was up 2 pounds. I am hoping it was water retention from the cornbeef as i know that it can be high in sodium..drinking about 10 glasses of water a day and have given up coffee completely for now and switched to green tea.

Still no change in the Ketosis though

yesterday's meal..
breakfast
2oopsie
1 egg
3 bacon

lunch
3 oopsie
6 tbs eggs salad(3eggs 4 tbsp miracle whip)

supper
8oz cornbeef
1 small turnip cooked with the cornbeef in slowcooker
2 tbsp sour cream
1 oz onions(cooked in slow cooker)
1 oopsie
¼cup saurkraut

snack
2 oz cheese
1 oopsie

I was bad, too! I did not have a dingdong because we didn't have any-- I probably would have attacked it too! Just corn and milk-- I HAD to have milk or I was going to die. It was so weird- like a pregnancy craving. I had been having a low carb yogurt every day- and haven't this week, so I bet that was why. I'm not getting anywhere near the scale for a few days though!!

Hope everyone had a good start to the week! Here we are getting ready for achievement tests (I homeschool) and then one more week of school and we are done.

Trish- I <3 the breaded porkchop idea, too. I wonder how it would taste on chicken?
Diana- You are so upbeat and make me want to come check in every day! Thanks
Laura- Glad you are on the mend- chicken broth is my favorite when I'm sick.
Everyone else- Have a great Monday...what's left of it anyway- I'm off to get dinner started.

brymic,
I have tried it on chicken Its yummy you cut up small nuggets from chicken breasts dip in egg and then you fry it in canola oil they are yummy thats how I figured that it would work with porkchops I think you can bread anything with porkrinds or at least i am going to try lol I bought a bunch of salmon and Im going to try making salmon nuggets or even tuna patty breaded in porkrinds lol
(tho prolly not the most healthy due to all the frying but Id say once a week is alright for a meal idear)\

laura I hope you feel better

Christiana thanks for the kind words about falling off the wagon lol

Diana its always fun to and awesome to be on the site with you here as our mascot

Jen, Sounds like you had a Good Mothers Day

Everyone else happy Monday ugh lol (is it fri yet?)

Oh I hope that is all it is..I got my DANDR 2002 book today so I will read it and see the difference between the 1999 and it. I was going to have the left over cornbeef for supper tonight but I think I will do a couple of chicken tenders instead tonight and maybe make a salad..I can't figure out why I am not in ketosis at all thought like everyone else seems to be. My carb count is well under the 20 carb count every day of the past 8 days of induction. I even gave up the coffee
Oh well I will keep going and hopefully something will give soon as far as the old pee stick goes

Hi guys
Just checking in to see what's up. Moretta you are certainly here fun group of people!!

Tricia man I now what you mean about the ding-dong always was my favorite. Do if you fell off at least it was for a ding-dong (I need a drooling smiley)

Laura- I am so glad you will be getting some relief...take care sweetie

Darleen so happy for your losses that is so awesome G/F.....

Buddysgirl don't worry about those 2 lbs I am sure it is just water!!Also with the sicks I have read on the boards that if you drink lots of water they don't turn so maybe that is the issue for you?

Christina hope you guys aren't getting sick again!

Diana glad you had a good weekend!!!

Well I was op today so far.... I figure about 15 1/2 carbs...Breakfast was 4 slices of bacon 2 eggs coffee
Lunch 20oz. cheese pork rinds chicken strips
Snack sugarfree jello with whip cream
Dinner chicken thighs parmesean and a salad
not hungry now hoping to not eat anymore today.....Maybe a cup of decaf?

buddysgirl.....you could be in ketosis. what keto sticks show is any spilled over ketones. I may or may not remember correctly ((fibro fog alert)) but didn't you at one point say the color was faint? If so, any color really will do. You may also want to check later in the evening and see if that changes, or just change your schedule at any rate. When you finally test and at least get a faint color, start testing at that time or vary up around that time...either a little before or a little after the next day.
I am not going to be using the keto sticks. Just one more thing for ME to get discouraged. lol. but, that is JUST ME and MY personality. i have been doing really well abotu staying off the scales until my one week anniversary...whew, it is hard!!! I have been measuring myself almost day tho..haha, which isn't much better. But, i have been noticing the changes. It is TOM so, I don't have much faith in the noticeable weight loss right now. So, if my scales aren't down on weigh in, I am nto going to be too bummed.

and, oh my gosh, plz forgive me for not remembering names. as i said, fibro fog alert. lol. but, someone had mentioned about frying up the foods and it being unhealthy. If you are doing atkins...he actually encouraged more fat to help kick off ketosis and weight loss. I have never been a big fan of grease or anything like tha, but, I have been adding pats of butter to my meat to melt on it to increase my fat intake.

Best of luck to you all...we can do this!
