Hey all my friends in LC

Ok 4 days and cheat....I lost 11 pounds since thursday can that be right? I feel pretty good and still in ketosis. I went out last night and had a few rum and diet coke, but I think one of them were regular coke? I'm in ketosis still but not purple anymore now its pink I have been on and off LC but never really educated myself, was mostly looking for a quick fix. But I know this works and I look at it as a lifestyle Ok all that brought me to this question. Can someone explain ketosis a little to me, I know some but not all the dynamics. I asked this question in main lobby, but no responses

You said I could prob just make my own almond flour/meal. Do I need to add anything to it or just grind it and use it as it is?? Thanks dear!! :-)

Diana, I did the Stillman diet way back in the 70's. Honestly, I can't give up the fat.

when I was on jenny craig I developed severe swelling in the first joint of both my little fingers. The MINUTE I added some fat back in the swelling went down and they're almost back to normal now. I believe the fat restriction of JC coupled, of course, with the high carbs, brought on a touch of arthritis. I'm not willing to risk it again.

Instead, I'm really going to watch my carb intake and keep it as low as possible. Just had a snack and it had 2g carbs in it so I'm about done for the day with carbs although I MAY have a cup of romaine with the ribs tonight. Nothing else on the salad though.

But thanks for thinking of me!

Yes, from what i understand you just grind it but only until it's flour consistant.

Trying to stick with protein mostly to curb the hunger.

Wow, I stay away for a couple of days and lots of new people and fantastic news about lbs disappearing... Nice to know I was missed

Let me say to all the new ladies who have joined. Nice to see you and you couldn't have picked a better place.

Di and Christina - It was fun "webcamming" with you. Such a great way to keep in touch. I'm looking forward to our next session. Not sure how many people we can do that with but it will be fun trying to find out.

Another beautiful morning here in Florida. I'm enjoying them as much as possible before the humidity arrives. Once that happens it's like walking out into sauna first thing in the morning. You feel like you've been exercising all day. Hmmm, maybe I can just sit outside and melt the pounds away

Well, I'm stuck on 137 but I am positive that I'm going to kick that number out this week. At least I'm going to try my hardest. Come on humidity!!!!!

Not much else to report. I'll probably drop in later. Have a blessed day!

Now, I hope no one is offended by blond jokes (I am blond) so here goes:

THE BLONDE AND THE SNOW PLOW

One winter morning a husband and his blonde wife who lived in
northeastern South Dakota were listening to the radio during breakfast.

They heard the announcer say, "We are going to have 8 to 10 inches of
snow today. You must park your car on the even-numbered side of the
street, so the snowplows can get through. So the blonde wife went
out and moved her car.

A week later while they are eating breakfast again, the radio
announcer said, "We are expecting 10 to 12 inches of snow today. You
must park your car on the odd-numbered side of the street, so the
snowplows can get through." The blonde wife went out and moved her car
again.

The next week they are again having breakfast when the radio announcer
says, "We are expecting 12 to 14 inches of snow today. You must park..."

Then the electric power went out.

The blonde wife was very upset, and with a worried look on her face
she said, "Honey, I don't know what to do. Which side of the street do
I need to park on so the snowplows can get through?"

With the love and understanding in his voice that all men who are
married to blondes exhibit, the husband replied, "Why don't you just
leave your car in the garage this time?"

Good Monday Friends!

Just stopping in to give you all encouragement and support, and to congratulate the losses! Great job!

I am shaking things up a bit with a 3 day fat fast. Doc said my metobolism is severely compromised by a medication I am taking, and he suggested that if I keep bouncing around with the same 3 pounds I should consider trying something new for a bit, then getting back to healthy low carb.

I am not doing induction until Thursday, but I will for sure stick around if you don't mind.

Peace

Good morning to all!

Good morning!

Hi once again and welcome all new members!! My weight went down another 1/2 pound last night now my weight is 137!I sure hope it stays off but I know TOM is right around the corner again so we will see..

Lady..It was nice "webcaming" with you and DI too. I hate I dont have a webcam that has the mic already in it but I am hoping I will in the next 2 weeks! We are hoping to have my DH moms and dads house sold by then!! We did get our Incentive Check this past weekend but of course my DH is not wanting to spend hardly any of it... We had a bad night last night and words before he left for work last night and I am still not over it this morning but calming down now..instead of Dh begin Darling husband it means something else this morning still. I am just hoping he has calmed down since he went to work last night. Now..just tell me why Do men suffer with PMS when its about time for the Wifes TOM to start too!! It only happens like this when I got about a week or so before TOM (expecally when he is going on Midnight shift)...and always it seem he adds my LC lifestyle to the mix...why is that? Thinking my husband supports me in this one day..and not the next!! MEN..lol..On to other things now..thank for letting me vent this morning!

Livy...I wish you good luck in FF...I have tried it for one day..I could not do it!! I might try for a couple of days next week to see if I can kick up my metabolism also again!

Ok..here is my menu for today
B- 2 eggs, 2 sausage muffins, 1 rev roll (7 carbs)
L- Hamburger on Rev rolls with bacon and mozzarella cheese (5 carbs)
S- Cube Steak fried in
