More pics!!
We had a traditional Turkish henna ceremony and a belly dancer and it really allowed me and my family to share my culture with everyone. I almost posted a picture of the cake but I don't want anyone to drool (including me) It was Almond cake with bavarian cream filling and buttercream icing. ![]() |

No, the wedding was at the Marriott in Downtown Richmond. We are planning on just having a dinner there when we head over next summer. My husband has not met my side of the family there. Here are pics of the cake.
Thanks Trishdadish...The pounds are slowly creeping on after the wedding and I am tired of being tired all the time and my heartburn is terrible. Also, I my anxiety is through the roof and my moods are high one moment and low the next. ![]() |

Hey everyone! Jaimie had pm'd me a couple days ago and mentioned me posting some before and now (I'm not an after yet) pictures. I told her I would although I feel kind of silly since I've never posted here on this thread before but what the hey![]() I started LC on April 4th, 2007 at 239 lbs, between March and April of that year I had lost 7 lbs doing WW once again (I was always so hungry! ). My avatar, in the pink shirt is me at that time, 246 lbs and here is another...![]() Here are recent pictures of me at 177... ![]() I now have lost 69 lbs and have 31 to go to meet my goal of 146, which will be a total of 100lbs lost I am losing slowly now so it will be a while but I know if I keep doing what I know I'm supposed to be doing I'll eventually get there. Thats the key...patience and persistanceGood luck to you all on your weight loss journey, I know each of you can do this! ![]() WHOA!! Sorry that last pic is so big! I did resize it ![]()

Good morning everyone!! TGIF!!
![]() Arzu, you are a beautiful bride! everything looked georgous for your wedding! i enjoy learning and seeing other cultures - i grew up military and got to experience a lot of them w/the people we met and family friends etc.. i always enjoyed that - thank you so much for sharing!! drew - i did alot of research online for induction info and the one thing i saw the most was the ratio of what to eat. someone posted 75% fat, 20% protein and 5% carb (carb should come from veggies mostly). i did sign up online for Fitday.com which alot of people here seem to use. you plug in your foods u ate and it tracks EVERYTHING and shows what percentage you are ate. it takes a few just starting getting things set up, but then it gets easier becuase you all ready have alot of food logged and dont' need to remake them. i found that helped me ALOT to stay within a decent range. dointhis4me - thos pics are fantastic!! wow! you have done a great job! that stuff is such motivation to stick with it you know??! it helps to see how people have done and you look great! i too tried WW at one point and lost a few but gained it back. i've lost more w/the LC than i did on WW. thanks so much for sharing those with us! sorry i missed the yahoo chat! i went and took medicine and ended up falling asleep in seconds on the couch! i'm such a dork! i was up extra early today thanks to my 2 beloved silly labs who started barking up a storm. so since i was awake and only had an hour before i had to get up, i stayed up. was too awake at that point to go back to sleep. i think one got scared of the others shadow.. idk! so i have no menu planned yet...too early.. yeah, and post the info on that FRIED CHEESE stuff please! ![]() hope everyone is feeling better and doing good today - have a great morning and i'll bbl !! ![]()

Good morning all you wonderful people. First let me give you an idea of how I wake up in the morning. Just click on the link. If you can't click on it just copy and paste into your browser. Make sure your speakers are on.
wake up Arzu - You are stunning and your wedding looks like it was absolutely beautiful. I hope you get a chance to go back to Turkey soon. I loved living in Ankara and look forward to going back to Turkey some day. Jen - Like you, I grew up in the military and loved it. I think that's why I love traveling so much. It was always such an adventure moving to different countries and learning about different cultures. I think military people have a more open view of people and their cultures. What countries did you get to go to? If everything goes right we'll be heading over to Dubai or Abu Dhabi in the next few months. ![]() to any new people that I've missed. You'll love it here.Haven't had breakfast yet because I can't make up my mind as to what I want so maybe by the time I've finished going back over the entries from last night and this morning it will help me decide ![]() Can anyone exclaim to me how you attach pictures? I know how to change the avatar but not how to put the pictures in here like some of you have done. Thank you in advance. ![]() Well, that's about all for now. Guess I'll go fix something but still not sure what. See you all later. ![]() The Toddler Miracle Diet People are always on the lookout for a new diet. The trouble with most diets is that you don't get enough to eat (the starvation diet), you don't get enough variation (the liquid diet) or you go broke (the all-meat diet). Consequently, people tend to cheat on their diets, or quit after 3 days. Well, now there's the new Toddler Miracle Diet! Over the years you may have noticed that most two years olds are trim. Now the formula to their success is available to all in this new diet. You may want to consult you doctor before embarking on this diet; otherwise, you may be seeing him afterwards. Good luck!!! DAY ONE Breakfast: One scrambled egg, one piece of toast with grape jelly. Eat 2 bites of egg, using your fingers; dump the rest on the floor. Take 1 bite of toast, and then smear the jelly over your face and clothes. Lunch: Four crayons (any colour), a handful of potato chips, and a glass of milk (3 sips only, then spill the rest) Dinner: A dry stick, two pennies and a nickel, 4 sips of flat Pepsi. Bedtime snack: Throw a piece of toast on the kitchen floor... DAY TWO Breakfast: Pick up stale toast from kitchen floor and eat it. Drink half bottle of vanilla extract or one vial of vegetable dye. Lunch: Half a tube of "Pulsating Pink" lipstick and a handful of Dog Food (any flavour). One ice cube, if desired. Afternoon Snack: Lick a lollipop until sticky, take outside and drop in dirt. Retrieve and continue slurping until it is clean again. Then bring inside and drop on the rug. Dinner: A rock or an uncooked bean, which should be thrust up your left nostril. Pour orange squash over mashed potatoes; eat with a spoon. DAY THREE Breakfast: Two pancakes with plenty of syrup, eat one with fingers, then rub fingers in hair. Glass of milk, drink half, stuff other pancake in glass. After breakfast, pick up yesterdays lollipop from rug, lick off fuzz, and put it on the cushion of your best chair. Lunch: Three matches, peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Spit several bites onto the floor. Pour glass of milk on table and slurp up. Dinner: Dish of ice cream, handful of crisps, some red punch. Try to laugh some punch through nose, if possible. FINAL DAY Breakfast: A quarter tube of toothpaste (any flavour), bit of soap, an olive. Pour a glass of milk over bowl of cornflakes; add half a cup of sugar. Once cereal is soggy, drink milk and feed cereal to dog. Lunch: Eat breadcrumbs off kitchen floor and dining room carpet. Find that lollipop and finish eating it. Dinner: A glass of spaghetti and chocolate milk. Leave meatball on plate. Stick of mascara for dessert.

Good Morning Ladies! Hooray, It's Friday!!!! Whoohoo!!! Hi Jen!! Rise and Shiner you!!!
I hope you all are doing great this morning and feel fine! It's gonna be Cinco de Mayo weekend and I'm craving Mexican food! Fajita's sound good, but so does a chimichanga, enchilada's, chilequiles! Oh I could go on and on!!! Maybe that could be considered my re-feed or illegal re-feed, lol!! For some reason, I just couldn't wake up this morning. I'm sure it's because I woke twice in the middle of the night. The wind was so strong last night and all I heard were things moving around and I was so worried our canapy was going to blow over. That happened one time! One time we had a really windy day, and the canapy was near our block fence, well I guess the wind hit it just right and it picked it up and blew it over the fence into my moms front yard. LOL My mom called me at work and said, guess who came to visit me! LOL!! Good thing my husband had just gone home. Anyway, I'm still at 205, I was hoping for a loss, but I realize that now, I'm going to have to give up the heavy cream for my coffee. I'm now just using liquid stevia. Christina you're one smart cookie!! Thanks for the tip!! So I'm so tired today that I don't feel like exercising this morning, but I will tonight. my menu: B-eggs, hamburger patty L-patty D- I want fish, so I may go buy some Holly, thank you for sharing your pictures with us! I have seen your posts and pic before and always wanted to respond to your progress but was too shy. But I really appreciate that you would taket the time to let us know that it is possible to do this! Thank you!! You are so beautiful and have done so well!! We have another inspiring person here too! Christina has lost 100 lbs herself! I just think it's wonderful that people can lose doing this woe! That is awesome!! The cheese recipe, all I know of is from LindaSue's website. Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes I believe you can use any cheese. I want to try that white Mexican cheese too. But I was using the preshredded cheese and not the Am cheese. I liked it better. The Am cheese is too salty for me. The preshredded one to me taste better and reminds of of Cheez it. I love them!! I'll talk to you all later! Love ya Ladies!!! P.S. I've got a question. Do you think we should start a new thread each week, or just keep the same one going? Just wondering. TTYL!!!

I think we should just keep the old one going so that we don't lose anything
. Of course I'm not sure how many pages are allowed. For those of you who would like to join in a "conference chat" on yahoo just type your yahoo name and we'll add you to the list. I know with the different time zones we won't all be able to get on at the same time but we can certainly try to get as many as possible. I'm going to look into getting a chat room where we can all actually talk. I'll let you know how it goes. Of course, if anyone knows of one that we can do that let us know. Mary |

Mary, that sounds good! I was just wondering about this thread! I agree though I don't want to lose any info.
Okay for pics, when you're posting, scroll down below and you'll see a window that says "manage attachments". Click on that and you can browse to search for pics then open the pic and upload it and then when you submit you post, it will be there. There is another way too. I use Photobucket. That is a free website where you can put you pics in and post them here too. I hope I explained that okay! LOL |

Happy Friday! Oh I am soooooo ready for the weekend!
HOLLY, you are a peach to stop by and post. You are such an inspiration to me, and I know the ladies here really appreciate your pics and any advice you can offer. Thanks friend! Weight stayed at 178 today, so I am pleased with that since I had been bouncing around so much. I made Heroin Chicken Wings last night...so very yummy! I can't remember where I got the recipe, but basically it is: 4 pounds of chicken wings 1 stick of melted butter Parmesan cheese with whatever spices you like. You melt the butter, toss the chicken in the butter, then toss the chicken in the cheese. Place on a foil lined baking sheet and bake at 350 for 1 hour, turning them over half way through. They are delicious! I don't like the name, but that is what they are called. Gotta work, BBL
