Well...let me think...
ok...Ate alot of eggs and pork...hamburger...SALADS...basic what I am doing now..but no fish or seafood back then...I did walk 1 hour a day 5 days a week thou...for snack I would eat Pork Rinds and Pepperoni..very seldom I would take and eat any sweet or any bread (didn't know about Rev Rolls or LCF back then) was not eating alot of cheese or cream cheese...just basically filling up on fat and proteins, and Green Vegetables. Good girl for getting rid of the Bubble gum!! I have never cared for that or Suckers, mints or anything like that..Sweet and junk was my downfall when I was larger...I think SA is having a hard time with me now...that is the reason I am TRYING To stay away from them..I still have about a full LC Chocolate Cake in my old refrigerator downstairs. Taking about houses..I live in a 90 year old farmhouse with 8 acres of land Later and HUGS Christina |

Me...Cheat..OH NO!! LOL
![]() ![]() But of course!! I did usually 1 to 3 times a month..mostly on a Sat or Sun...and it was high carb one..like refeeding they call it..Hope I am right about that..lol It didn't stall my loss either..Oh..I did stay around 20 to 30 carbs a day also...OK..I was just reading on Stillmans post..when is your Birthday in December..mine is in Dec too!! Where I live in VA Diana..we have not had hardly any snow in 2 years...we are in a drought now...I have mountains all around us...we rent our acres out to our Nebor and have for years to put cattle on...It wonderful but very bumpy and really hard to mow..it takes Mike about 4 to 5 hours to mow and trim up...Its so pretty here year round... Oh..I just thought..I didn't use any Carbquick or anything like that..did even know about Netrtion then..get my drift..lol Hope it works for you and know I am here if you need me! HUGS Christina |

Evening ladies!!!
I had some fish, steamed spinach with a bit of butter and vinegar and leftover spaghetti squash. When I finished I vacuumed and threw a load of laundry in. I figure if I get a head start I won't have so much to do when hubby comes home The gas here was up to $3.54. I'm getting to the point where I'm not even using my car unless where I have to go is further than 3 miles. Otherwise I'm within walking distance to all kinds of shopping. Maybe I'll get a motorbike instead....I can just see it....motorcycle grandma ![]() For all of us married ladies: When I was married 25 years, I took a look at my wife one day and said, "Honey, 25 years ago, we had a cheap apartment, a cheap car, slept on a sofa bed and watched a 10 inch black and white TV, but I got to sleep every night with a hot 25 year old blonde. Now, we have a nice house, nice car, big bed and plasma screen TV, but I'm sleeping with a 50 year old woman. It seems to me that you are not holding up your side of things." My wife is a very reasonable woman. She told me to go out and find a hot 25 year old blonde, and she would make sure that I would once again be living in a cheap apartment, driving a cheap car, sleeping on a sofa bed. Aren't older women great! They really know how to solve your mid-life crises... Have a great evening g/f's and I'll see you tomorrow (or later this evening). Who knows ![]() ![]()

Good evening ladies!
oh work sure can make one take up drinking.. heavily!! but alas I refrain! too many calories! but i may splurge on ONE this weekend!! remains to be seen yet! ok about the cream egg recipes, unless i missed it, are you beating the eggs or just putting it all together??? i guess i don't understand that part! sorry! i don't want choke down a whole yolk when i don't have to! haha that butter cream from Low Carb Runner sounds really tastey and may satisfy my sweet tooth!one more stupid question (my limit for the day!) what is Stillmans? never heard of that one. is it similar to atkins? what the difference that Determined would have better luck w/atkins than that one? couriousity! if you feel like sharing! I am thrilled on the 7 lbs.. still seem skeptical too!! like my scale it STILL lying to me but only in reverse now! i started at 250 so i'm down to 243. i feel good and actually like i have a bit of energy lately. dieting never made me feel this way before. but i've never tried atkins, i'm a virgin.. be gentle with me! ![]() gas here is at$3.59 for regular and that is at walmart, shell is about $3.64 .. getting too rich for my blood. lucky i work close to home (15 min drive) but hubby has a 50 mile drive - that is eating our pocketbook on gas i need to go start dinner - my family is having empanadas but i may stick to a chef salad w/ckn chunks in it or a hmbgr. i need to get some cream cheese so i can try the oopsies and have "bread" for sandwiches! have good evening all! ![]()

Gas Prices - MSN Autos
Hey guys, go to the above link and put in your zip and it will tell you the cheapest gas prices in your area. I was just looking on it and then checked in here and saw you guys were talking about gas. Hope it helps. I have to combine all my errands these days, gas is just too pricey. The cheapest out here is 3.56. Thanks for all the get well wishes. I feel pretty good now I still have a headache but I think I may be able to go work out tomorrow morning. ![]() Diana- I think all the curves are about the same price I pay $34 a month and I didn't pay a start up fee because I joined during a promo. They have them all the time. I had to pick a place to go because I just cannot get motivated at home to exercise but if I know I am paying then I have to get there at least 3 times a week.Plus, if you don't show up at curves they will call and see whats up. They are very motivating. At least the trainers at my club are. Jen- Stillman's is another diet but it restricts fats and carbs so in theory you can lose faster. I never did it. I don't think I could. With the egg creme you put everything in a blender to mix it up it gets all creamy and frothy. Good stuff! Christina-yeah I couldn't go to the Dr yesterday or today (DH is out of town) I felt too dizzy. But I doo feel better now I took some decongestant and I am hoping I'll be ok to drive tomorrow. So, maybe not an infection if I get over it on my own. We'll see. Thanks for your concern ![]() See you all tomorrow. Have to go wait for a call from DH ![]() |

Happy Fat Burnin' Friday Friends!
I am a December baby too...Feast of St. Nicolas, Dec. 6. Eating is on plan...although, I did lick the frosting off of my finger at a birthday BBQ last evening. I was helping all the kids with their plates, and I licked it before I even thought about what I was doing! Tasted divine, I can't lie ![]() Gotta run, want to get lots of laundry and cleaning today so we are ready to go back to work and school next week with everything in order...or at least as orderly as we get around here! Hugs

Ok, here it is Friday and checking in to see how you wonderful ladies are doing and listening to my iTunes....woohoo.
Chrislukey - You're not alone , my birthday is in November and so is my husband's. It's a good month ![]() Since my hubby will be home tonight I'll be making something for him other than low carb. He really doesn't mind the low carb meals I make but he can't afford to lose any weight. ( ). Wish I knew what his secret was. Not sure what I'll be fixing yet but I'll probably fix one of his favorites (garlic mashed potatoes) to go with whatever meat I make. I'll have the faux stuff. Here's my joke of the day (or hour)...lol: Marriage Seminar While attending a Marriage Seminar dealing with communication, Tom and his wife Grace listened to the instructor, "It is essential that husbands and wives know the things that are important to each other." He addressed the man, "Can you describe your wife's favorite flower?" Tom leaned over, touched his wife's arm gently and whispered, "It's Pillsbury, isn't it, honey?" The rest of the story gets rather ugly so I'll stop right here. I'll check back later. Have a blessed day! Mary ![]() |

Good Afternoon LC Friend's,
SS, about yesterday. I felt out of sorts all day. Today I feel wonderful. I think I mighta had heart trouble along with dropsy's.. DON'T get worried.. Everything I dropped I didn't have the heart to pick it up..lol Great Post form all. I am thinking of trying the egg cream. it still makes me a lil unnervy about the raw egg. I'm sure I've had worse things. like the time a lady fixed cow tongue ,and we thought it was roast.acccckkkk.. It did taste like beef roast, it was just the thought of it. slurppppppp..eeeeewwwww I to, am a December baby th 28th. I understand no gifts. my mom never made a big deal of my birthday. When I got married my DH said that was my day.. Bless his heart he has made my day special ever since..He is such a keeper. Our 2 sons were born in Nov. our DD in May. DH in Aug..couldn't leave him out.lol I don't live in a big house . It is just the right size for us. I do live 780 ft off the main road way back in the woods.. I love it back here. I have coffee ( weather permitting ) every morning in my gown. ( I know, sounds like a hussy don't it ).. HEY, no one can see me. Yep, I swim nekked at night to.. NO kids now so I'm free to what evah..I know, I know TMI... My SIL n BIL live at up on the main road..I'm so glad my SIL wanted the front part. Now she hates it after seeing all the privacy we have. 20 yrs. ago there was only 6 other house on the main road now there is hardly a scrap of land..yeaaa buying 20 yrs. ago was the best thing we ever did. Christiana, I'm so glad my homemade remedy for author is working. it is also good for bug bites , bee stings. would make a good antiseptic to. Diana, I made the crackers w/lavash bread . turned out great. crispy n sweet. I didn't like the cheese ones as good as the cinnamon ones. Thanks to all for the great post. remember I have no memory w/names. How did I miss the sausage muffin. would someone please post the recipe . my menu : B-2 eggs, 1 homemade turkey sausage, 1/4 serving lavash bread w/sf jam, coffee L- egg salad on 1/4 lavash bread, serving pork rinds, d-pepsi. D- LC fried chicken breast , salad, tea If I need a snack I made LC cinnamon crackers using 1/2 sheet lavash bread. I rarely snack. I love to cook so, I'm experimenting all the time. I love turkey sausage the low fat ones are nasty 2 me . the full fat is more fat than meat . Sooooo I put my thinking cap on..Trust me it's a small cap. Here is my recipe for homemade turkey sausage. 1 pack of ground turkey, lots of ground sage maybe a tablespoonful, little salt n pepper. I'm a true Southern cook . I do the pinch of this n that method. you could add ground fennel , I don't care for it. I get 8 patties from a package of ground turkey. I also fry them all then freeze ,and take out as needed. I'll ck back later. Rachel

I know all of you are going to do just great this weekend. If everything goes right I plan on dropping a couple of pounds ( ) provided that I stick to the low carb. If I have to make more brownies for my hubby I could be in trouble. One lick leads to another and then another........ chocolate is definitely my weakness especially the dark chocolate.I have a feeling that our boat is going to sit another summer without going out. With the gas prices the way they are we may not get to use her for a couple more years. Very sad..... Well, I hope you all have a fantastic, healthy, carb free weekend. I'll try and jump in at some point but, if not, I'll be checking in bright and early Monday morning. ![]() Bridge to Hawaii A man walking along a California beach was deep in prayer. All of a sudden he said out loud, "Lord grant me one wish." At once the sky clouded above his head and in a booming voice the Lord said, "Because you have TRIED to be faithful to me in all ways, I will grant you one wish" The man said, "Build a bridge to Hawaii, so I can drive over anytime I want to." The Lord said, "Your request is very materialistic. Think of the logistics of that kind of undertaking. The supports required to reach the bottom of the Pacific! The concrete and steel it would take! I can do it, but it is hard for me to justify your desire for worldly things. Take a little more time and think of another wish, a wish you think would honor and glorify me." The man thought about it for a long time. Finally he said, "Lord, my wife says that I am uncaring and insensitive. I wish that I could understand women. I want to know how they feel inside, what they are thinking when they give me the silent treatment, why they cry, what they mean when they say "nothing", and how I can make a woman truly happy." After a few minutes God said, "You want two lanes or four on that bridge?" |

Hello again,
I messed up thought I could do the shakes for induction last week because I had bought so many I just continued drinking them untill gone (this past week) So bought the book and I have my induction menus figured out for the most part......It seems like this "way of life diet" is going to be expensive just wondering what you guys are spending for 2 people. My husband and I arent really doing this togather but he will eat what I cook and hes supportive so..... Going Grocery shopping tomorrow yikes! I have a feeling its going to cost and arm and a leg... But hey at least thats less weight I have to loose right? lol J/k Thanks all Trish ![]()

chocolate meringue cookies
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here's the recipe: 3 egg whites, room temp 1/4 tsp cream of tarter 2/3 cup splenda or you sweetner of choice 1 & 1/2 tblsp hershey cocoa 1 tsp vanilla In large bowl combine egg whites, vanilla and cream of tarter, mix with electric mixer until soft peaks form, about 3-4 mins on high. Add splenda and mix until mixture forms stiff peaks and looks glossy. Maybe another 3-4 mins. Mixture shoudl not move if you tip the bowl sideways. Add cocoa and fold into egg white mixture. YOU may also add 1/2 cup of you favorite mini choco chips but I AM NOT that free just yet. Drop by heaping teaspons onto cookie sheet covered with parchment paper. Bake 25 mins. remove, let cool and enjoy! TUNA OR SALMON MUFFINS 2 6-ounce cans tuna or salmon, drained well 2 eggs 1/4 cup celery, chopped fine, 1 ounce 2 tablespoons onion, chopped fine, 1/2 ounce 1/4 cup green pepper, minced, 1 ounce 2 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded Salt and pepper, to taste Pinch Old Bay seasoning Mix all of the ingredients and spoon into 6 well-greased muffin cups. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes until puffed, set and lightly browned around the edges. Makes 6 servings Can be frozen Per Serving: 109 Calories; 8g Fat; 12g Protein; 1g Carbohydrate; trace Dietary Fiber; 1g Net Carbs I serve these with Tartar Sauce or Chipotle Mayo. They are also really good topped with sautéed peppers, onions and mushrooms, then a bit of the Chipotle Mayo. Click the photo to see a close-up. Here's a slightly larger recipe: TUNA OR SALMON MUFFINS Three 6 ounce cans tuna or salmon, well-drained 3 eggs 1 stalk celery, chopped fine 1/2 medium green pepper, chopped fine, 2 1/4 ounces 3 tablespoons onion, chopped fine, 2 ounces 1/4 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 6 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded Mix all of the ingredients and spoon into 12 well-greased muffin cups. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes until puffed, set and lightly browned around the edges. Makes 12 servings Can be frozen Per Serving: 109 Calories; 8g Fat; 12g Protein; 1g Carbohydrate; trace Dietary Fiber; 1g Net Carbs Rachel, what Chris did was she did not add the onions and celery and I think the bell pepper. But added everything else. I've made these with all the ingredients using the tuna and they are very good! |

Mary, did you see the show " I can make you thin " Paul was the mans name. He said when you are tempted by a food like brownies, fudge , or any food that is a trigger. Look at it and picture worms crawling all over it. keep look in your minds eye till it pases.

Oh I know, this could get expensive, but I buy lots of ground beef and tilapia fish. Have you tried the recipes for LindaSue's website? She has some good easy recipes and very economical too. |

I am NOT going to fix anything sweet till the next TOM time..I still have over 3/4 of the LC mayonnaise cake in the fridge not ate!![]() Still good thou...it a 40 year old fridge downstairs that keeps stuff ice cold. I am just really trying to break this stall and its so far working with what I am doing.I walked 45 min today...uphill again..we will see what happens. Rachel pain relief is working so far..it very inexpesive and its working only after 3 days!Yes Trish..i am afraid so..LCing is very expenisive. I am lucky to get out of the grocery store less that 150 dollars a week!! That is my DH, 3 year old son and I... But..not just LC..everything is SO expensive..our gas went up again this afternoon...dont know what people are going to do! Mary..I live about 20 min from our local lake..last year there was NO boats on the Lake..and I bet none this year either due to gas prices... ![]() Here was my menu today..it did change B- LC chicken Salad L-Hamburger with 1 TBS LC barbecue sauce and Farmers Cheese S- Boiled Shrimp with a 1/4 cup salad with my own mixture of 2 TBS of Mayo..1 TBS LC Catsup.. couple dashes of hot sauce and a couple of cajan pepper...kind of a LC Thousand Island dressing...mixed and poured over the shrimp. 45 min power walk Later all! I am heading outside to let me son play while its pretty! HUGS Christina |

Hi Ladies
![]() Rachel I would love that kind of privacy we are in a subdivision so we have neighbors in our back yard But we moved here so our DS could grow up with some other kids his age. he is an only child so we thought he needed some friends. it has worked out very well for him. Maybe once he goes to college we will find a nice little house in the woods somewhere.About the muffins ...I took Diana's seafood muffin recipe and used breakfast sausage in place of the tuna left out the veggies and added cinnamon and nutmeg and a little cream. Baked them then topped with SF maple syrup. They were yummy ![]() Trish-Yep low carb is expensive because you are not buying any cheap filler food like pasta and chips. It is all fresh meats and veggies. It is totally worth it though. We have been eating this way for 9 years now. Couldn't go back now even if I wanted too. I buy meat when it is on sale and freeze for future use. Especially bacon we eat alot so when I can get buy 1 get 1 I stock up. ![]() |

Trish when I was in maintainence I drank whenever I wanted too. Some people have trouble with wine...not me I drink one or 2 every weekend even now. Also all hard liquor has no carbs the problem is what you mix with it. Let me stress again some people do have problems with the alcohol stalling or gaining. I luckily don't
