Diana, thank you for those recipes they look de-lish.

I'm not sure what food is allowed on the program that each of you follow.

If you can have pasta. Dreamfields pasta is low carb. I find it at Food Lion , or Kroger. I'm not sure if you have those stores .

You can't tell it from regular pasta.

Chat more later,

Rachel

You're welcome Rachel!!

I heard dreamfields is good, but I haven't allowed myself to eat that yet. I'll make mock foods with cauliflower, at least until I've gotten under a certain weight.
I'm afraid to try it!!

Good Morning Everyone! it's beautiful out here in SE Ohio this morning! I did almost a half of of "tae bo" first time ever.. got a dvd of it and boy it kicks butt!! i couldn't quite keep up, so i did what i could and will do it again tomorrow! i've had my tea, now i'm ready for a shower and breakfast! (not necessarily in that order, my stomach is growling!) LOL

my pizza w/that cheese crust came out sooo good last night! smaller version, not looking quite like the pics on here did, but delicious none the less! i topped it w/a bit more mozarella, mushrooms, 4 slices pepperonni, some onion and peppers. so i hade 4 small slices and ate it all! i hope Livy's turned out good!! i plan on making that again since it was so easy and tastey!

i wondere if the oopsi rools you guys talk about are really pretty good?? any comments?

Determined: i tried a cauliflower "mashed potato" recipe other night i found on Linda's Low Carb site. It was ok.. nothing like mashed potatoes, couldn't even get it to look smooth in that processor. what do you do?? no way i could trick kids or hubby into eating THAT !

oh not having some chocolate may be hard next week.. i think i'm coming to that time of the month and that is the ONLY time i get such a taste for a piece of Hershey's chocolate! if only it was induction friendly! i think my hubby and kids may run from me this month when it comes time!

I hope everyone has a great day! I'm off to find breakfast and the shower! Then off to work I go. I'll BBL and until then I hope everyone can stay on program and SMILE today!!

Good Thursday Everyone!

Jennifer, I am so glad your pizza came out great! I ended up making LC Chix parm last night...it was too darn hot to make the pizza along with the chix. It was 84 here yesterday in Massachusetts! Very GORGEOUS day...but we don't have our air conditioners in yet, so my 125 year old home was broiling! The chix was delish, and if anyone is interested, I will post how I cooked it.

Supposed to be cooler today, so maybe this is the day for the pizza??

I am sooooooo excited to report that since I re-started on Monday, I have lost 2 pounds! I made some major adjustments to my life, and now I feel more confident that this weight creep up is on the DOWN side now!! It has made such a difference for me to have all of you here and your support too

Gotta run, BBL

Good morning everyone

It's so great to see everyone doing so well. As for me, I put ON a pound
This morning I had a cheese omelet and three slices of bacon. Getting ready to do my workout on my Total Gym.

Haven't decided what I'll have for lunch yet but for dinner I'm going to have some steak and brussel sprouts. Actually, I think for lunch I will try the Thin and Crispy pizza crust. Sounds pretty good.

Well, off to do my workout. I'll check in with all you lovely ladies later...

*Martha's Way*
Stuff a miniature marshmallow in the bottom of a sugar cone to prevent ice cream drips.

*Maxine's Way *
Just suck the ice cream out of the bottom of the cone, for Pete's sake! You are probably lying on the couch with your feet up eating it, anyway!

*Martha's Way*
To keep potatoes from budding, place an apple in the bag with the potatoes.

*Maxine's Way*
Buy Hungry Jack mashed potato mix, keep it in the pantry for up to a year.

*Martha's Way*
When a cake recipe calls for flouring the baking pan, use a bit of the dry cake mix instead and there won't be any white mess on the outside of the cake.

*Maxine's Way*
Go to the bakery! They'll even decorate it for you.

*Martha's Way*
If you accidentally oversalt a dish while it's still cooking, drop in a peeled potato and it will absorb the excess salt for an instant "fix-me-up."

*Maxine's Way*
If you oversalt a dish while you are cooking, that's too bad. Please recite with me the real woman's motto: "I made it and you will eat it and I don't care how bad it tastes!"

*Martha's Way*
Wrap celery in aluminum foil when putting in the refrigerator and it will keep for weeks.

*Maxine's Way*
Celery? Never heard of it!

*Martha's Way*
Brush some beaten egg white over pie crust before baking to yield a beautiful glossy finish.

*Maxine's Way*
The Mrs. Smith frozen pie directions do not include brushing egg whites over the crust so I don't.

*Martha's Way*
Cure for headaches: take a lime, cut it in half and rub it on your forehead. The throbbing will go away.

*Maxine's Way*
Take a lime, mix it with tequila, chill and drink!

*Martha's Way*
If you have a problem opening jars, try using latex dishwashing gloves. They give a non-slip grip that makes opening jars easy.

*Maxine's Way*
Go ask that very cute neighbor if he can open it for you.

*Martha's Way*
Don't throw out all that leftover wine. Freeze into ice cubes for future use in casseroles and sauces.

*Maxine's Way*
Leftover wine???????????
HELLO !!!!!!!

Hello Again!

Mary, I LOVE Maxine, thanks for sharing that

Diana, cleaning is trucking along. I have my whole kitchen, mudroom and most of the dining room done. I will be able to get the rest of the dining room today for sure. I am asking the family to clean the living room as it is already very organized, just needs to be cleaned. That leaves the 2 bathrooms to organize (DD is in charge of the cleaning them) and 2 of the upstairs bedrooms...I REFUSE to even enter DD's room, that disaster is her doing and she will need to uncover it herself! If perhaps, there is a miracle, maybe DH and I can tackle our office! Wow, that would be a completely cleaned house except for the utility/playroom...I would feel like I died and went to Heaven!

Mary, don't worry about the pound, it is just water!

Loretta and LCrunner, it's great to see you here, thanks for sharing your journeys with us.

Hi Loretta,
AS is artificial sweetner. Sorry.

Yeah, it helps me to post my menu. I think it helps and makes me stick to it.

Jen! That's great!!! 7lbs is fantastic!!! Way to go!!!

I think my problem is, I'm not eating enough fat! I'm doing Stillmans, but I do think I need more fat than what I'm having, so I'm going to indulge in some pork rinds!!

I forgot to say I did 25 mintues of Pilates this morning!

Hi Ladies!
I am feeling a bit better today not 100% yet so I think I will take it easy and stay home one more day. I can do grocery shopping tomorrow.

Diana and Christina yeah I think it is a sinus infection too. Hopefully it will go away soon. I'm so tired! I hate being sick! I can't even sit stilll long enough to watch a movie so laying around all day is hard for me. Diana hjope your hubby is better soon too!

Jen- 7 pounds is great I am really happy for you

Loretta AS is artificial sweetner...and yes I find by posting my menu at least it helps me plan ahead so I am not trying to figure out what to eat when I am starving. I sometimes change it by evening but that's ok as long as I stay within the carb limit.

Rachel - this was the first time I tried the turkey pepperoni...not a huge fan of it but I am going to finish it. It is better microwaved but I like the real thing so much better. Maybe by the end of the bag I will like it just as much.

Diana thanks so much for the muffin recipes my hubby is out of town this week so DS and I usually have tuna at least one of the days he is gone(he hates it). So that may be dinner tonight.

Mary don't worry about that one pound it will be gone soon

Jaimie - your house sounds awesome...love the older homes they have so much character. I would love to have my Spring cleaning done....Congrats on the 2 lbs. too KUTGW

Menu
B- 2 eggs and bacon
L salad w/chicken strips
D tuna muffins, salad with avocado and radishes

Hope everyone has a great day Love you ALL!

You're so funny!!! I love you!!!
I know! LOL! Maybe now that I'm exercising, and just do Atkins then I'll go back to losing. I may try that. I just had some pork rinds and feel fine now! So it has to be the fat!
Thank you!!!

Thanks Chris! I hope you get to feeling 100% too Sweetie!! Your welcome on the recipe and they are soooo good!!! You'll love them!
Take care of yourself and talk to you when you can!!
