WOE: Atkins
Start Date: Jan 2002..230lbs
Hi... everyone, do you mind another party joining in?

I've been on and off Atkins for a few years, I love it.. but you know how life just seems to always get in the way of good intentions.

I'm back on the boat and would love to have others on induction too to start with.

I have 30 lbs I want to lose...

Today, so far...

I've had:

Breakfast:

ham slices

Lunch : 2 boiled eggs and 3 slices of ham with mustard (small slices, I can't slice meat well, more like I hack at it...lol)

supper: had some soup and crystal light... (yeah not really induction...I know )

Good Luck everyone

Great thread. I too am doing Atkins, the one where I can have up to 20 carbs a day. I never realized there were so many different versions of Atkins.

Hi Christina! Your dinner sounded really good!
Are you feeling like you're getting better today? How's Brandon doing?

For dinner, I'm just having a burger on a rev roll. DH is having meatloaf, mashed potatoes and leftover asparagus. That's okay, it doesn't bother me one bit!

Oh and you know what I'm doing Saturday, I'm having a yard sale! I've got stuff to sell to make some extra money to put either tile in my half finished family room, or go in halves with my dad on a tractor to redo my front yard.

DH installed carpet last year in the livingroom, now we have to tear out the carpet and laminate tile in the kitchen and familyrool to do tile.

I've got to make at least $200.00. Yeah right!!!

Diana
Yes..I am starting to feel better..cant you tell!! LOL TY for asking! I am just so sore that I cant hardly move today. Maybe it will go away tommorow.

My gosh..I LOVE yard Sales..which we was closer and I would come and look! Make sure you put you some lettuce on that Rev Roll Hamburger K? I do that alot. I eat something like that and DH eat something else. I would get your living room finished first and then fix your yard. Who knows..you might sell may go better than you think g/f! Our living room is carpeted..now with a child I wish we could tile ours!! Maybe one year.

Supper was pretty good. I just didnt want much and I have plenty left over for a couple of days. Even DH ate it and said he liked it.

Later and HUGS

C- I just can't believe that you hurt yourself! That's why you have a hubby, do let him do all those things for you!!

I don't have any lettuce!! I'll eat a small salad instead and some left over asparagus too.

Oh I forgot DH wants mashed potatoes too! Wahhhhhh!

You made a good point about doing the house first. Then thing is our front yard is ugly! We had rock put in, but then we got all kinds of rain one year and now weeds and grass our growing on top of the rock! The landscapers who did the rock, didn't put down any plastic, they said that they sprayed the ground with stuff so nothing would come out. Well, they were wrong!!!

So, if we had a nice looking yard, I wouldn't worry about it.

Good girlMake sure you DO have a salad..or sometimes I will just take some lettuce out of the salad and put on mine. I always make sure I have something..most time a salad...at least 1 time of day..what kind of dressing do you use on yours? I just use a little Olive oil today and it was still good.

Well..I got groceries while DH was at work and I wanted to get them in before he got home...so much for that idea!!

Good thing that I have been LC for a while and I hate mashed potatoes!!

Another think I thought of is I try my best not to eat anything after 7pm. I just seem to do better (with water weight) and sleep better if I dont.

Well..then I dont know what for you to do first...your yard or your house..and with the way money is these days it takes about everything we make without doing anything else to our house right now. With Gas being 3.20 a gallon for regular it takes all we make just to pay our bills, for DH to go to work, and to put Gas in our 3 cars! Just hope your Yard Sale goes well this weekend G/F

HUGS and Later!

Hi Tamekia!!
Glad to see you here!!!

Sure post whenever you can. I know sometimes it's hard with other threads, home life, and kids and all. That's why we're not stressing that "we must post" on a certain day or whatever or weigh in on a certain day. I just can't deal with rules.

We want it to be relaxed and casual so we can make our woe that way too.

It'll be fun!!

I make mine with mayo too, except when I was doing Stillmans, I was making them with cottage cheese because that's what is allowed on that woe.

They were pretty good too! I don't mind the cream cheese, but a little too many carbs for me.

I just had a brat on a rev roll! Yummy!!

I hope i am not to late to join in the fun and losing. Im Samantha from Singapore and have been lurking in this forum for while now.

Started Atkins for the first time yesterday. Today is my 2nd day of Induction. Trying to down those water seems tough for me. Keep forgetting to drink. Temptating to reach for carbs esp since carb is part of our daily diet.

Hi Samantha!
No of course it's not too late! Please join in!
We're just a bunch of Ladies who just want to lose weight and who happen to be on any particular Atkins!

Good for you on your second day! How do you feel so far?

That's the one thing about water, sometimes it's easy to get down and sometimes hard. For me, I'm so used to drinking it because where I'm from, it dry and I really need to drink it.

Just remember to eat your fats too, that will help in stopping the cravings for something sweet.

If you can get through this week, you'll be able to get through another week!
We'll all help you out!!

HOw is Singapore too!!

Morning Diana,

It is 2nd April time is 10:20am. I had some shrimps and kale + beansprout for breakfast. Feeling ok still.

Yesterday was not perfect. I manage to down only 6 glasses of water. Dinner was a killer as i was working and dd wanted to have Burger King. I had grilled chicken sandwich and throw away the buns. Took about 8 pieces of fries.

Dinner today will be grilled fish stuff with some spicy spices and will make a simple vegs.

So far only manage to drink down 2 cups of water. Do not mind me asking the so called splenda can be replace with "equal" as i do not have anything else here. Are they the same or should i just go sugarless during induction? TIA.

I'm starting Induction tomorrow.

I can't catch up with all of the posts today, but will try tomorrow.

How fun.

Hi Samantha!
It's 10:20 am there! It's still April 1 right now and it's 7:37 pm.

Well, I don't know for sure, but I think you could try it. Sometimes equal has a tendency to stall, so if you use it, just watch and see what it does and if it keeps you from losing.
They are both different. Splenda is a sucralose and Equal is aspartame. You may be able to google both to find out the difference. I know I've what they are, but I can't remember! Short term memory is bad!

Don't worry about yesterday! Today's a new day, just keep forging ahead!!

Oh, I would love your recipe for grilled fish. Sounds delicious!

Well, I'm about to go to bed myself.
I'm sorry that I won't be up to chat with you! How fun to talk to someone from another country.

Do your best Samantha, that's all we can do. We're only human, but I know we all want to lose weight, that's why we're here!

Have a great day, and I hope I see you here tomorrow!
