If any of you have coconut flour like I do, here's a pretty good link for recipes. I may try one, sometime in the near future!

I just re-started Induction for about the 3rd time in five years. I usually lose 5 lbs., then stall and give up. In between trying Atkin's, I've tried several other diets and the same thing happens. I lose 5 lbs.,stall and give up. THIS time I read the book (DANDR) thoroughly, so I hope I can stick to it. I have lost some weight on various diets, but always felt like I was starving. Atkins is the only plan that keep me full and satisfied. I re-started induction yesterday and think I am already in ketosis.

Hi! Thanks for the warm replies. I have one question though. I thought diet sodas were allowed, and now I have this sudden addiction to it - meaning, I drink one once or maybe twice a day. Obviously this is not good for my health, but I read that only certain diet sodas were allowed during induction. Does anyone know if Cola Zero is ok?

fluffly bear welcome and you are doing great!!

Chucyc I do not drink diet soda during induction only water and coffee. I don't know why it would hurt in modertion but I am a newbie. I can tell u from experience, that I had to severly limit my splenda intake because it affected loss..

Just wanted to pop in this morning before I am off to another hellish day of work and tell everyone to keep up the great work!!!

Welcome and good luck fluffybear2. Well everyone, I'm so excited. After almost two weeks my scale finally moved again . I was beginning to wonder if I was stuck forever. What a great way to start my morning.

Does anyone have any recipes using Davinci's SF Kahlua?

How are you doing this morning Christina? Hope everything is getting better. You're in my prayers.

Ok, here's my contribution for the laugh section today...

Bad relationship?

Two women were shopping. When they started to discuss their home lives, one said, “Seems like all Bobby and I do anymore is fight. I’ve been so upset I’ve lost 20 pounds.”

“Why don’t you just leave him then?” asked her friend.

“Oh! Not yet.” the first replied, “I’d like to lose at least another 15 pounds first.”

Gotta run but I'll be back later. Have a blessed day!

Blessed Wednesday Girls!!

I am still cracking up from all of your witty posts, lots of humor in this group!

Things are chugging along with me, staying completely on plan, and losing very slowly, but the scale is going in the right direction, so all is well. Actually, the scale didn't budge this morning...sigh...

Can't wait to hear from you all today!

Peace

Good morning all!
I am still not feeling the best but I know some of the reason why. My TOM cycle is messed up!! Glad it just use women here right now. I am usually SO regular with mine and last month I went 38 days between and this time I only went 21!! Wonder what in the heck is going on with my darn body!! My mother did not go thru metapause (sp) until she was 47! Im 39..I might be..but not having any symptoms of it..my scale is a pound less but I will not accept that until after TOM is over with. No wonder I have had a really bad couple of days!! I did have a 1 lbs loss overnight but I am not going to clam it until TOM is over.

Ok here is my menu unless I give into TOM cravings

B-2 Sausage Patties
L-Hamburger and Cottage Cheese
S-Smothered Pork Chops with Brussel Sprouts and Green Beans

HUGS

Hello everyone. I'd like to join your thread. I need to lose about 30 lbs. I have had success with Atkins in the past but I started eating really bad when I made some lifestyle changes (quit smoking and drinking). I have had an extra 30 lbs on for about a year and a half and I can't seem to stick to anything. I am finally fed up! I have had two people aske me if I am pregnant becasue I tend to gain weight in the stomach. I cannot bear to have another person ask me that. The lastest one was this morning and it made me just mad enough to want to do something once and for all and get back to my former skinny self. I am going to Florida in the beginning of June so I want to lose 20 lbs by then. I think with Atkins I can do that. I have also been running for about a month and I hope that will speed up the weight loss.

I remember feeling so good when I was on Atkins before..the puffiness went away, I was mentally more alert, and I had more energy. I really think that I have food allergies and staying away from sugar and wheat are the only option for me.

I am going to start posting my menus to keep me accountable.

B: eggs and bacon
L: sausage and veggies
D: Bw3's chicken wings and salad

Hi Ladies and Welcome to the newcomers

Just hanging out at home for awhile...waiting for my new mattress to be delivered. Anytime between 8 and 12. Then I get to go grocery shopping...not my favorite chore. But at least it is supposed to be nice today. I hope they come soon so I can get home and do some yardwork.
Hope all of you have a great day today.

Mary the only thing I use Davinci's SF Kahlua for is a Kahlua and cream which is brandy ice kahlua and cream...very yummy.

chucyc I've been trying to stay away from caffeine this time but I do drink one or 2 diets sodas a day but I also notice when I do that then I don't drink as much water as I should. But if it doesn't stall you why not enjoy it!

Forgot to add my menu yesterday I was out shopping for a dress and stuff...wedding this weekend. So yesterday's menu was
B 1/2 avocado 2 slice bacon 2 sausage links
L 2 slices roast beef and slice of cheddar
D pork chop and Linda Sue's "fried rice" So Yummy!
Coconnut bark for snack

Today
B cheeseburger with bacon and tomato
L salad???
D Lake perch sirloin steak and tomato and mozzarella salad

Ok girls, here's the rules for this diet:

RULES FOR THIS DIET:

1. If you eat something and no one sees you eat it, it has no calories.

2. If you drink a diet soda with a candy bar, the diet soda cancels out the calories in the candy bar.

3. When you eat with someone else, calories don't count if you do not eat more than they do.

4. Food used for medicinal purposes NEVER counts, such as hot chocolate, brandy, toast and Sara Lee Cheesecake.

5. If you fatten up everyone else around you, then you look thinner.

6. Movie related foods do not have additional calories because they are part of the entertainment package and not part of one's personal fuel. (Examples: Milk Duds, buttered popcorn, Junior Mints, Red Hots and Tootsie Rolls.)

7. Cookie pieces contain no calories. The process of breaking causes calorie leakage.

8. Things licked off knives and spoons have no calories if you are in the process of preparing something.

9. Foods that have the same color have the same number of calories. (Examples: spinach and pistachio ice cream; mushrooms and mashed potatoes.)

10. Chocolate is a universal color and may be substituted for any other food color.

11. Anything consumed while standing has no calories. This is due to gravity and the density of the caloric mass.

12. Anything consumed from someone else's plate has no calories since the calories rightfully belong to the other person and will cling to his/her plate. (We ALL know how calories like to cling!)

Well, it's a beautiful, sunny day but a little on the cool side. Turned my fireplace on this morning (gas) to take the chill off. It's wonderful for sleeping at night though. A couple more months and our hurricane season starts. I can hardly wait. Hopefully it will be very mild year.

B - scrambled eggs w/cheese and bacon
L - some teriyaki beef jerky and a piece of cheese
D - don't know yet

Well, i'm off and away again. I'll check in later.

Good Morning Ladies,

LADY, thats it !!! I've had enuf !!!!....I'm going to use your diet..It looks soooooo much better than mine ..HECK..If I gian weight on your plan ..I'll say it was your fault ,and it didn't work for me..I gave it my all...That was 2 funny..keep-em comming girl..

Christina, hope you feel better soon. hang in there TOM will leave soon. If not shoot him..lol

Welcome to all you nice new friends..we are from all over..there is so much love ,and support here. We can be crazy sometimes well most of the time..you'll find out soon that I am the " shy one "..cough cough.

Here is a recipe that is very high protein ,and great for anytime of the day. it really helps w/ cravings.

Let me 1st say I don't care for cottage cheese ..you'll not even know it is the base of this recipe.

Cheesey Jello

2 cups of cottage cheese

1 small pack of SF jello ( any flavor ) my fav is cranberry.

1 cup of boilling water

Puree cottage cheese in blender. Dissolve jello in the boiling water add to the cottage cheese ,and give a quik blend just to mix.

pour into 1/2 cup serving cups ( I use gladware w/ lids 1/2 cup size ) makes 4 - 1/2 cup servings.

chill for a few hours until set.

Very high protein , super tastey. This is the only way I eat cottage cheese.

Have A Great Day,

Rachel

What part of VA are you in Christina? I used to live in Fairfax. My mom and one sister still lives there.

I'm glad everyone is enjoying the jokes. Laughter certainly makes our diet easier.

Hi Lowcarbrunner
I can totally relate to gaining weight after quitting drinking. Thats when I packed on abo
