Good Morning Losing Ladies!

How are you all doing today! I hope Sunday is going to be a good day for all of us and that we continue to try and stay on plan.

Whats everyone up too today, any special plans or just taking it easy!

I'm going to finish up some house work, then later DH is going to do our grilling for the week. I don't know if I want to make any breakfast, or not. I'm just not in the mood to cook. I think, it's from all the baking I did again yesterday!
We'll see though, I always change my mind.

Okay I guess I'd better get my coffee as I said in the last 2 posts, lol!!

Hope to talk to everyone soon!!!

Love Ya Ladies!!

Hello everyone!

I just eat breakfast and realized that I didn't post my menu.

B-2 fried eggs, 3 slices bacon on rev roll sandwich, 1 hot dog.
L- maybe nothing
D- either a hamburger on a rev roll or a pork steak, smal salad.
Water, coffee

Hi Lin! It's it something how water makes us feel! I so cleansing and refreshing and also elimnates the nasties from our bodies!!

Hi Christina, how are you holding up? I need to take a sinus pill here shortly but it doesn't last. It only lasts for 12 hours, and to me that's nothing.

So today, I'm going to relax for awhile then help dh with the bbqing that we didn't do yesterday. I should have!

Well, I'll check back later and see how everyone is doing!!

Hi Diana!

I am still really sinus messed up today. I have to be really careful in what I take. I have High Blood Pressure and Type 2 Diabetes. I took it when I was so heavy even thou now I am on NO meds for it I still have to watch. ANY type of Decongested messes my BP up so I really just have to about play it out. They never do last 12 hours anyway.

I skipped lunch too. I have been busy putting my curtains back up from Spring Cleaning all day long today. My menu is staying the same but no lunch today.

Catch you all later. I did make a Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake which I love. And that will be my snack for the next week. The 21st is my 11th wedding anniversary but we got to go to Roanoke tommorow to take Brandon we are going out to a Steak House for our anniversary and I will cook at home for it on the 21st. Since we dont do anything but that for it this will be a real treat for me.

Have a great afternoon everyone!

How wonderful it's going be your anniversary this month!!
I think that's wonderful!

Mine will be on July the 5th, 17 years. Doesn't even seem that long.

I've got a sweet tooth. I've been snacking on those chocolate chip cookies I made. I need to becareful of those. I may eat them all up!!

I have no ambition to do anything today! I really need to do something, but maybe later when it gets a little cooler. Nothing like putting things off!!

Thanks for the compliments. My husband and I had pictures done for my 60th birthday since we didn't have any recent ones.
I use the spaghetti squash. You know how you scrape it out when it's cooked. It looks like spaghetti and then mix the butter, salt, pepper and parmesean.
Not sure what I'm going to have for dinner. Maybe I can talk my husband into grilling some steaks....yum!

The weather must be changing because the cats have been chasing each other all over the house today. It's supposed to get down to the 40's in the am. I'm sure that won't last long. My worries are always the hurricane season. Last couple of years haven't been too bad. Nothing like '04 and I'd like to keep it that way.
Well, I hope everyone is having a nice and peaceful Sunday.

No Diana .its cold, cloudy and windy..Ok..i am going to post it here..I gave it to Tamekia so I will give it to the rest of you all!

Golden Smothered Pork Chops

INGREDIENTS:
6 to 8 pork chops (I use Loin Chops with fat on them)
1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
Dash of Onion Powder
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 onion, chopped (Optional) (I use about a tsp of minced onion)
1/2 cup fresh sliced mushrooms ( I use 1 Large can of the Giorgio Pieces and Steams water and all canned from Walmart..only 2 carbs per 1/2 cup!
2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed Cream of Mushroom and Chicken soup (only 6 carbs per 1 can with is 2 servings!
Hot Sauce or Cajun Seasoning to taste (Optional)
about 1/4 to 1/2 cup water (Optional)

DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2. Brown Pork Chops in Skillet
3. Place them in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
4. In a separate small bowl, combine the onion, mushrooms and soup. Mix together well and put this in the pan you fried you chops in to get it hot with a little water (optional) and a little hot sauce (optional) for some kick if you want it. Spoon this over your chops
4. Cover and bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 45 minutes to 1 hour and then uncover and bake for 20 more minutes. (Note: Time could be less or more depending on the thickness of the chops.) Pork chops are done when their internal temperature has reached 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).

Only 2 carbs per piece of Pork..if you add the onion it adds up to 3 carbs per piece but oh so good!!

This is SO good Diana..you have to try it!! Got to go and check mine now!! LOL
Luv YA!

Happy Sunday Ladies!! Hope you are all having a great Day.
Well, I guess it is official after 2 weeks on induction I am now 137! 4 pounds lost! I know it isn't huge but I am thrilled my pants fit better that's all I wanted. Now I want to lose 10 more before Summer....Can I do it?? We'll see. I am going to stick with induction for awhile since I haven't been overly strict I can live with it for a few more weeks then I will climb the ladder.
Todays menu
B 2eggs italian sausage feta cheese w/black olives (we went out for brekky after Mass)
L 5 leftover heroin wings (soo yummy try this recipe if you haven't)

D beef and pork fondue and salad

I also wanted to tell you guys that the pizza crust made with that is in the recipe thread is sooooo yummy. TRY IT!!! It may be over the cheese limit for induction but even one piece is really satisfying.

Mary... you are such a beauty and I can't believe you are 60! You go girl! In my egg cream I use 3 eggs, whipping cream, caramel, davincis, coffee, coconut oil, and splenda so yummy!

Ok now I am going to try to say to everyone if I forgot someone I am very sorry

So to Rachel, Tamekia, Christina, Diana ,Backatitagain, Jaimie, Carolyn, Meekness Mary, and Mel!! Let's all stay on plan this week and start the next week with pounds lost

Love ya all! Thanks for all the great recipes!

Hi everyone! 40? Wow, thank you so much. However, I think all of you are beautiful people. I love all the encouragement each and everyone of you give.

It is about 9:30 pm on Sunday here in Florida. Temperature dropped dramatically this afternoon. Supposed to be 49F tomorrow morning. I love the change. Gets so hot and humid here.

I can't wait to try some of those egg creams, Christina. My email addy is cairocutie99@yahoo.com. Sorry you are having such a hard time with your sinuses. I've been very lucky in that respect. However, I do suffer from GAD (general anxiety disorder). I've been able to keep it under control for quite some time now without all those pills they tried to give me. I had found an anxiety free tea in a book that I had for natural remedies using herbs. Worked quite well. This diet helps as well because I've discovered that caffeine is one of the things that brings it on so I stay away from it as much as possible (except for the chocolate .

Ok, enough about some of my problems . I guess I will start putting down some of my menus for the day starting tomorrow (if I remember). I can't tell you how much I am enjoying this forum. All of you are amazing people. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could all meet up somewhere for a big get together....woohoo!!!!

By the way, who puts the recipes in the recipe section? Can anyone put them in?

Mary

Hi Mary!

I agree! I love the Ladies that are on this thread! And I always think how fun it would be to meet with everyone we made friends with, maybe one day it will happen!!! That would be fantastic!!!

What is that green tea you are talking about? It sounds really interesting. I drink alot of coffee and I would like to stop, but at the same time, I get a little overly anxious about things, althought it gets kept under control.

I don't want to result to pills either, but I do alot of praying and I am a believer in God. It's just interesting that a natural tea can actually do that!
I'd like to try that!

You can post your recipes here for us to see and also on the Recipe thread forum.

Not green tea, it's an herbal tea made up of five different herbs. They are ginseng, licorice, skullcap, marshmallow and valerian (natural valium). We have an herbal store here that sells fresh herbs. If you have something like that where you are this is what you would need:
1 oz. dried Siberian ginseng
1 oz. dried licorice
1 oz. dried skullcap
1/2 oz. dried marshallow
1/2 oz. dried valerian

Mix them all together and store them in a ziplock. If you store it in the fridge it will keep longer. Take about one tspn and steep in hot water for about 10 mins. I sweeten mine a bit with stevia or a little splenda. It is an acquired taste but not too bad. I get teabags at the herbal store that I can fill with the mix. You just put a tspn full in each bag and then iron close. Works great.

If you want anymore info I'll be more than happy to help if I can.

That sounds really good Mary. I wonder where I can find those ingredients. I may have to goggle a search on what herbal teas? I would love to try that and see how that affects me.

I just copied and saved it on my computer. I will definately check this out!

Thank you for sharing your story and your tea!!! That's what this is all about!
Ideas, that may be able to help others!!

Happy Monday!!

Wow Mary...I am completely blown away you gorgeous woman! I would have also guessed your age at 40, not 60! You are stunning! I love it when people have their pics as their avatar, it really puts a face to a name for me

Sorry I got side-tracked yesterday and never got back to the computer. I wish I could say that I got all my To-Do list done...no such luck! I really only got some laundry and more cooking done. I am so very behind in my cleaning and organizing...I really need to make a plan and map out how I am going to accomplish my spring cleaning on top of all the working and mothering I do...HELP!

I am back into ketosis and losing ever so slowly, but that is much better than the weight creeping up like it was!

Congratulations to all of you for losing and persevering

Christina, I may have missed this, so sorry if it is a repeat request...but could you share your Mayo Choc cake recipe??

BBL my friends,

Good Morning and Happy Monday Ladies!!!!
Worked out this morning and now I am hanging out here while I eat breakfast then I need to get some cleaning done. It is sunny here today but still chilly it is supposed to be warm later this week so I want to get all the inside stuff done today and tomorrow so I can enjoy the outdoors when it is nice.
Plan for today:
B egg cream
L salad with chicken strops
D bacon cheeseburgers and veggies and dip

I have to go to the grocery store tomorrow to make a plan for dinners the rest of the week. Just don't know what to make

Hope you all have a wonderful day!!!!

You are all having so much fun here, I thought I'd join you.

I've been an Atkins girl since 2002. I lost 100 lbs but have never gotten to goal. I've gone up & down about 25 lbs after losing the 100 but never gained it all back & never got below 175.

At this point, I'm happier and healthier than I was before but I know there is more health and vitality waiting for me if I get to goal.

Edited:
Oops: forgot to tell you I have 8 days of Induction & I'll be continuing thru Friday before moving to OWL.

Hi Lisa!!! Welcome!!
You bet you can join us!!
That is fantastic how much you've lost, Wow!!! It's even more fantastic that you never gained your weight back, except for the 25. I think that takes total determination not to gain!!! How long did it take for you to lose the 100lbs? And Good for you for staying on Atkins this long!!!

I agree with you, I feel so good eating this way, no more heavy breathing or getting out of breath for me!

Way to go on the 8 day induction too!! Whoohoo!!!!

Hi Jaimie! I know what you mean about planning! I try to do that, but sometimes things don't always work out. I tried to do things this weekend but family came over and blew my plans. But that's okay!

You're still doing great Jaimie!!!

Hi Chris! I wish it was chilly here! We got into the 90's this weekend, but it's supposed to go back down in the mid 80's which is okay. We turned our ac on yesterday because I just couldn't breathe, my nose was getting plugged up .

We have a great day too Chris!!!

Hi. Can I join too?
I've been SORT OF doing induction since I started back on Atkins about eight months ago... but the scale has only fluctuated up and down the same three pounds for over a month. Hmn, I suspect maybe I'm not doing induction too strictly? lol. So, I've cracked back out my book, re-reading it and recomitting to a super solid two weeks strict induction including tracking my meals in fit-day. I could use some support...
Thanks,
~K

Welcome! It's so nice to see the new gals

I find it very inspiring to hear about how everyone is working towards the same goal, and especially enjoy reading menus...it always gives me new ideas.
