Anyway, just wanted to say that I am still on-plan, no hic-ups on my part. I am really dedicated right now. I really want to lose the rest of my weight by next year around this time so that I can not be so affected by the heat and exertion when my husband and I visit his family in Kenya and go on safari!
Also, next year we have planned to start trying for kids... so that is a big motivator too.
Hi Mary, I have never been to Pearl Vision. I had to get my glasses at Nationwide, they don't have much of a good selection at all! That's who are insurance carries. I may have to go somewhere else for some cool glasses or get contacts. I'm leaning towards contacts.

Ahh you want to start a family, oh that's so cool!!! I know you'll get to your goal!!! That is a really good motivator, and the trip to Kenya. How exciting to go on a safari!! You'll have to take tons of pictures!!!

I haven't tried that brand of Stevia, only the Sweetleaf brand. I do like that one. I think AS react differently to certain foods, I don't know why, but that's what it seems like.

I like Costco rostisseri chicken, I could eat a whole one in one sitting! LOL!!

Hi HT!! I meant to respond to your post, but I dont' do WW and I would probably sound like I don't know what I'm talking about! Which I woudn't either! LOL!!!
I hope that all works for you though!!!

Good Morning All!

I hope everyone has a great day!

Yesterday I wasn't very good with my eating. I had a stressful morning that lasted until early afternoon and unfortunately, I let it affect my eating. I ate something off plan for lunch, thinking it was going to take away the stress, lol. It sure didn't!
I need to get a grip here and do what I planned and stick to it. I'm hoping when the air gets cooler, that I'll get my eating down. I whine to my husband about my weight and he tells me I look fine and not to worry about it. But you know how we are, we see ourselves different, even though DH is nice to say what he does.

Like we were saying yesterday, I'm just staying with the basics and eat all meats with fat and chicken thighs with salads along with bacon and eggs and maybe make some Oopsie rolls. I'm going to do that until I lose at leat 10lbs!
I'm not going to worry how much I eat, just until I'm full.

Hi Chris, I didn't know if I said this. . .I'm happy you feel like you're losing! I bet you are. Our clothes will always tell us if we are!!

Well, I'm going to make some bacon right now. I'll talk to you all later!!!

Good Morning!

Antigone: STEP AWAY FROM THE PB !!! Come out with your hands up!!

I was good yesterday until I had to go work the concession stand. I went to set up just before 2pm and left at 9pm. I had a hot chicken sandwich and hot dog while i was there, both w/buns and 1/2 can pepsi (i had water mostly) It was just easier and taking stuff for me to eat and trying to keep it there would just be in the way I think. IDK. But today I will be back on track. I was close, tempted yesterday by a fast food burger. I knew I would be off in the evening so why not give in but I DID NOT!!! I thought and thought and ordered my burger w/no bun.. If I was going to screw up that evening I decided to be as good as I could up to that point. That is why I also only drank 1/2 can pepsi and threw out rest. We were running low on waters to sell so I took one for the team! hahaha

I do need to do some precooking I just haven't had time yet for that. I'm hoping this weekend I can get that done. I need to!!

Maryposa - i love the liquid stevia myself. make sure you give the bottle a little shake so any sediment is mixed up. i usually use this w/a SMALL dash of splenda or xylitol to offset it. When I make coffee in the morning i only use 1/2 dropper of it. But maybe it depends on if you get the liquid extract or what style too. One is thicker than the other. I prefer the thicker version. good luck!!

Chris - see if DH remembers their lineman rob ferhman, he played about 5-6 yrs with them. couldn't have been too long ago. i can send him a PT appt card that has his name on it and his handwritting even tho it's not his signature if he collects stuff at all! haha i'm sure you have lost too you lil' toothpick!!! try on a smaller size! i am glad i finally did!!

Christina - i too gave up on fitday or that daily plate. too time consuming right now. i know what is working for me mostly but i think my problem is keeping that stuff on hand and finding time to prep right now so that i do have quick things on hand.

Di- i have a problem making my faux mashed potatoes!! my cauliflower still tastes like cauliflower, i don't know how some people say it tastes just like mashed potatoes! what am i doing wrong?! haha i love the faux scalloped potatoes though using turnips YUM! They just don't always have turnips here by me. I agree i need more time to pre cook and all. i can't count the calories and fat and log any more. I just need to eat till i'm full and stop but i'm trying to eat the RIGHT stuff and since i'm lacking time to precook, i'm being tempted to stray! i usually do so well w/that but lately it's just been harder! that little devil sitting on my shoulder saying "sure go ahead" but like you, i dont' want to gain back what i've lost. 30lbs is gone and i dont' want it back so that is enough motivator to keep me going. i think i can i think i can i think i can i think i can..

have a great day all and i'll drop back later.

Wen, glad you are safe and sound! put your MIL to work and tell her she needs to help you out, you can't do it all!! i'm sure she means well in her way but i can understand your frustrations ! hang in there!!

Good morning all, Just checking in real quick. I have a retreat to go to today and I won't be posting till tonight or tomorrow. At last it is at a beautiful place and it is up in the mountains which are starting to be goregous with the leaves starting to change.
Hope y'all have a great on plan day. Diana, don't fret about having a bad day. We all do!!! I know I was just starving yesterday and I feel I had plenty to eat; just had the munchies. I did just drink water though. I am just damned determined to reach my goal before the holidays.
I'll try to check back later. Be good and take care you guys....

Good morning all...just checking in really quick again...was so sick yesterday I was not on much but feeling better today...Brandon is really congested still and that worries me...his Asthma is really bad right now. They are mowing the field across from our house and we all are feeling the effects from it. I have to go to town in a few because they didnt have my meds yesterday..another waste of gas..oh well..that is how it goes.

I am like you Jen but I am still putting my stuff down in Fitday but I am doing my own thing..eating what I want LC and not worrying about it so much right now. My body is telling me it wants to stay at this weight and maybe if I maintain for a while the scales will finally move downward. the scales are up 1 pound in weight and 1 pound in fat today...I know that its because TOM is in a few days again..just seems like it was just here..

Got to run..have a great LC day everyone

Diana trust your Dh I bet he really does think you look great!

Christina I know TOM is just a pest seems like you just get over it start losing a bit then here it is again!

Jen I'll ask if he knows who that is he isn't a big collector good thing..I hate clutter you would be surprised my house is very minimalist. Very few things on the walls and not alot of knick-knacks. I just don't like to have anymore to dust than necessary. I only put up things that I really like so I had bare walls for the 1st 3 years we lived here. In fact the only knick-knacks I have are a few from my Mom's house and the one's people bought for me. I think it is because my Mom loved that stuff we grew up in a very small house 950 Sq ft (3 kids) and every corner had something all over the walls and knick-kncks everywhere....she loved angels so they were on every table.
Oh and I don't know the recipe you use for the cauliflower but mine I add tons of butter sour cream or cream cheese then I sprinkle cheddar on top then a sprinlke of parm and bacon cumbles and put it onder the broiler for maybe 2 minutes.YUMMY!

Susan the retreat sounds wonderful hope you have a great time

Hey Wendy hang in there, sounds like you are a bit stressed

Oh I wanted to share this with you... I get this newsletter from a Nun in Spokane. She is such a sweetie and she shares her daily struggles with life and faith. I thought what she wrote today was particularly inspiring.

Picture Now my idea of being holy - don't let Rome know this because
who knows if its even close to being Theologically correct. But my
idea of being holy is like being on a roller coaster. If you KNOW
its

just a ride and no matter how scary it gets - its only part of the
ride.... than you just scream and yell and have a grand old time
going around those hair pin corners and splashing down into water
at way too fast

a speed and going up and up and up to forever to the top of the
ride and then ... "OH MY GOSH WE HAVE TO GO DOWN!!!?" But you gulp
and maybe close your eyes and grab onto the rail a bit tighter

but you sort of scream some more and enjoy it.. because after all
it is just a ride! Of course everything is going to turn out just
fine.

Wouldn't that be great if we could just hold onto thoughts like
that when things get tough? It's all part of God's plan...
everything is going to work out.... relax...breathe.... etc. etc.
etc? As we are being burned

at the stake or roasted by a angry mob. This is okay, this is just
part of the ride - it works out okay.

I'll let you know when I get there.
-SR Patricia

I went for my first WW meeting yesterday and weighed-in 5 lbs heavier on their scale than on mine! What a bummer! I'm pretty sure my clothes didn't weigh 5 lbs! However, on the up side, this morning my scale showed that I lost 2 more lbs yesterday, bringing me to 1 lb. over my pre-vacation weight, so that's a step in the right direction.

Weather is cooling off here and the leaves are turning, which is beautiful! We live up in the Cascade foothills east of Seattle, and we have beautiful fall foliage!! Downside is that I can feel the rainy season approaching, and I hate that. It's supposed to rain this weekend. Nothing like some of you have had to endure with hurricanes, so I shouldn't complain, just the on-going light but gloomy rain. Think I'll un-bury the Nordic Track today. Have been walking a lot this summer, but I hate walking in the rain. It's in my hot tub room and I've been redoing the room from a forest theme to a beach theme to act as an escape retreat during the rainy season, which I swear, must be at least 9 months! Not an extensive, expensive remodel, (broke from my summer travels!), just paint and beach-themed items like beach towels, caribbean and mexican pottery & masks, and beach sand & shells from my travels. It's quite an environment shock because it's a completely different world from the room next to it and outside, which is my studio with a wall of windows that look out to the rainforest surrounding our house. The forest view is quite beautiful, but the tree coverage is so thick that it lets in very little sunshine and light. Can you tell I suffer from SAD? It's coming, I can feel it. I need to stock up on full-spectrum light bulbs, good foods and not seek relief from bad comfort foods. You all, that have lost so much weight, are truly inspirational! Just want to thank you for sharing and making me feel welcome here even though I'm kinda combining plans. I'm hoping you all will help me from feeding my gloom with comfort foods.

Hi HT!
I know, isn't that a bummer when another scale shows more than your own at home! I hate that!!! LOL!
Your room hot tub room sounds so relaxing the way you described it. Even the area where you live sounds wonderful too!
I can't wait for it to get fall like here in Az. I think we're going to have a cooler winter this year. Our summer temps have been very reasonable and mild. Our temps now are in the normal range, but they haven't been this way in a long time. We've been in the mid 100's up until Halloween. . .that's when we start getting cooler, every year.

Oh you can hang out with us, doesn't matter what you're doing.

Hi Chris, that was cute! How's everything going for ya.
I've learned my lesson with buying knick-knacks too. I just don't feel like dusting every little thing too, but I have too.
Last week, we had a dust storm that was so bad, I literally had dust come in on the floor of my kitchen! I know it's in other areas too. I need to do a total cleansing on my house, but I want to wait until it gets cooler so I can open the doors and air it out.

Hi Christina, I hope you shake this thing off . .you and B. I know the meds will help you alot! Get some rest so you'll feel better soon! Don't worry about not posting here if you can't.
Take care of yourself!!

Hi Jen, you did good!! I know it's hard for you, you've been so busy. I'm sure a roast in the crock pot would be good. I may have to do that myself!
Take it easy and make sure you get time for yourself too.

Hi Susan, thanks!!!!
Your retreat sounds marvelous!! I hope you have a lot of fun there!! I'm going to try and reach my goal too!!!
Have a great time!!!

OMG! I made it through another day where I wanted to EAT!! I was good at lunch, went to chinese buffet. I was able to pick my stuff (got it to go) and put some good stuff in there. Veggies and chicken mostly, no fried items.. a little pork and mushrooms. yum! great $4 lunch and pretty much on plan. I tried to get stuff that had no sauce.

dinner was steaks on the grill... i cooked turnips w/cheese for me and a small scoop of spaghetti squash on side. i am saving rest and hope to fix something w/it for lunch tomorrow. i'm going to browse some recipies in a few.

Di - I agree w/Anti, that is an awesome pic of you! you look so flirty in that pic and your hair really flatters you! And it's not even from Glamour Shots either g/f !!!

Happy - I did WW for a while about 3 years ago or so. I started on points and ended up jumping into the Core bandwagon. I lost some while I was doing that but I was also working out 3 times a week too. I went right past a gym after work so I would go for an hour and then head home. I still have my books and occassionally use my sheets just for tracking my food. I think I prefer the LC way myself. I have more energy now and see the difference certain foods have on my body. WW is a bit easier to navigate though and I had the family counting points for me any time we went out! haha Good luck !

Susan- enjoy your retreat! see ya when you get back!!

Christina - I sure hope you feel better soon! go take care of yourself some and get rest.

Chris - I found one of those recipies on here but maybe didn't follow exactly. I have a hard time doing that, I use recipies more as guidelines for a dish and do my own thing. Maybe I should follow it once to see how it should work and THEN play with it next time! I always have played with my food!

I got off work and picked up DS from school, he was waiting so patiently for me (a half hour or so). But it's easier than trying to ride the bus and walk home from his bus stop since it's a few streets down. DD was working so she couldn't. I was home long enough to take out trash and make a bathroom break before taking DS up to his PT appt. DH and I started dinner when I got home later on. I'm off to go rest and enjoy some leisure time before we head to bed. Maybe I'll look up spaghetti squash recipies first. Maybe not. hahaha Enjoy the evening everyone!!

G'nite!!

Good Morning!!

TGIF!!

Hi SCSC Yes, it is never too late! We hang out here all the time!

I did good today... sausage and egg for breakfast. I had to go through BK as I ran out of time and had to leave for work. I was tempted by the biscuits and gravy let me tell ya!!! but i didn't give in!!!

Hopefully everyone has power back on by this point and doing good. Anyone still going clean up or out of power?? You can come boat with us this weekend and have margaritas and get away from it all!!

I plan on staying good again today. I need to do some shopping so not sure if I'll get it tonight or tomorrow and will prep some food so I don't have issues next week! except for monday.. i will be prepared for it. my department at work is hosting a building wide fall festival and that includes the food and games. of course they decided to order pizza and pasta so i will have salad and maybe some pizza toppings! it's the other goodies i'll have to watch out for! i am trying to make my item LC so there would be something i know i can have i just have to decide what yet.

Well have a great Friday everyone!! i'll catch ya on later today .. remember your water and keep up the good work! without you guys as my support i would crumble in self-defeat!!

Good Morning Ladies!!

Hi Creamsoda, welcome!! You don't have to read everything, it would take forever, lol!! Just come on in and hang out!

Hi Jen, I agree, if I didn't have all the support, pep talks and hand slaps, then I would be a goner! LOL!! I know we'll get this weight off!!

Although, I have to admit, I'm doing a carb up breakfast. I need to do something to possible jump start my weight loss. I'll be lc the rest of the day.

Yesterday morning as I was getting ready for work, I was changing in and out of clothes because I didn't like how I looked. A few months ago, I thought I looked pretty good. Now it looks like my body is changing and looking funky! Before I looked like I was getting a waist, but now I look straight again. I don't understand what goes on with our bodies???

So I was getting really discouraged and that, plus other things were causing me to eat. I haven't eaten off plan the whole day, only certain meals. I don't want to go down the dark path of eating myself back up to 40 lbs, I really need to get a grip here!!

This is funny. . I don't know if I mentioned this or not. I had bought me a Spanx underwear that goes all the way up the stomach. Well of course it wouldn't go all the way up because of my gut. The Spanx would roll down! LOL!! It also went down to my upper thigh. Well, after wearing them for half a day, I felt my circulation being constricted!! LOL! I was even getting a headach from it. I go home to take it off and boy, did I feel like a vise was removed my head!! OMG! I'll never wear those again!!

Well, I've got some baking to do for some people. I'll come by after awhile to see how you all are doing.

I thought I had another story, but I can't remember. . oh well!!

Love ya Ladies!!

Ok, where to start.... to everyone that is new here. I wish I had time to read everything I've missed. I'm just so tied up right now but I wanted to drop in and post this giggle that was sent to me. Very funny!!! How is everyone doing? I miss you all. Busy getting one thing fixed and waiting for another adjuster so we can get started on the major thing....the kitchen. What fun .
