Hi All,

Christina, thank you for inviting me to your group. This is just what I need.
When you talk about woosh.. I think I know what you mean..lol
Looking at your menu it seems you need more fiber. I found a wounderful product. its called Benefiber. It's a tasteless powder. You can put it in coffee ,or tea ,or sprinkle it on food. The NI says it has 4 carbs, the fiber is 3g so if I understand it right you subtract the fiber from the carb count ,and it gives you the net carb count which would be 1..If I'm not doing this right someone please tell me.

I did WW for over 4 yrs. ,and really lost . It is a great program but I'm so sick of points..lol. I can look at the NI on any product and tell you the point value. I'm right on the money every time.

What got me started on the low carb path . I read Jay Robbs book. High/ low carb..it made so much sense. I'm not doing high carb every other day . I am taking one day a week and eating a baked potato..lol. I don't care how many ways a cauliflower is cooked its not a baked tater. lol.

Jamie, I am so understanding what you said about giving all to God.
I heard something the other day that was like ding,ding,ding..

It was stated that when you worry ,or eat you need to be in the moment. When we worry we usually worry about the way things turn out ,or the way they should be. It is very tiring. Most of the time it never turns out like we think it is.
They called it unconscious living instead of conscious living. Another way to put it is living in the moment that you have.
We are never promised another moment ,or day.
Then it was said about conscious , and unconscious eating.
WOW that was kinda a wake up call for me.

Diana, what an encourager you are. way to go on getting to wonderland.

I sure hope I don't sound like I'm on a soap box.lol

I can't wait till I learn all your names.

Rachel

Hi Rachel!
I am glad you took the time to come over to Diana's and my thread!! A whoosh can be anywhere from 1 to more pounds in one day..LOL I take 2 fiber pills (fibersure) a day and I might try the Benefiber to see what it is like. If you read my post on what happened to me today you will see I am just going to take it easy for awhile and just let the pounds go if they are meant too..lol. From what I plugged into Fitday today I had around 1445 in calories 16 carbs,106 grams of fat and 103 grams of protein for the day. I have not used Fitday in about over a year and have fogotten how to use it right. I will get use to it again.

Well..its about 930pm here in VA. I am going to bed. See you all in the AM..Night all, Sweet LC Dreams and HUGS

Sweetners

I just started Induction about a week ago and still have not lost weight. I am wondering if my drinking artifically sweetened waters and diet hansens could be the problem. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Carolyn and Welcome!
Yes...possible...Dr Atkins I seen somewhere that he said if you was not losing on Induction to cut out most of your Artificial sweetened Stuff. I did that the first time around and lost over 100 lbs! Also, if you are not doing any kind of excerise I do advise it. It really helps.

Welcome again and HUGS

What is Fitday?
Lady..Fitday is a program on the web you can use for free to add your food up in each and day and your Excersie you do. I used it the first time around and its great. Google it and you can find it that way.

Good Morning to all the Wonderful Women here!!!

Good Morning Christina!!! How are you doing this wonderful morning!!
I was up early, around 3am. I couldn't sleep, my nose was stuffed up from allergies and I could breathe!
How's Brandon been feeling? Did you both get over the flu completely yet or is it still lingering?
What are you going to do today, anything special?

Good Morning Lady! Once you get used to Fitday, you'll like it. It helps track your foods and how many carbs/calories/fats/protein you're eating.
I hope you're doing great!!

Hi Carolyn!! Welcome to our cozy little thread!! I hope you come back often!!
Also, check for hidden sugars in foods. Sometimes food don't actually show the carbs or sugars and if are eating foods that contain them, that can hinder our weight loss. So it is pretty important to check labels and ingredients.

Good Morning Diana!!! I am alright. Still hurting thou.He told me it would take me about 48 hours for the shot to work. Brandon is feeling good..TY for asking! We both have gotten over what we had but our Allergies are going haywire also!! The pollen is so high everywhere right now. We planted our White and Yellow Onions sets and Lettuce yesterday. We had rain yesterday so maybe it will come up in a week! Brandon and I both got sunburned thou!! It suppose to get up to 75 today..was 80 yesterday and only suppose to be in the 50s tommorow, and 40 Monday and only 50s on Tuesday!

Nothing special today..we have run for 2 days so we are just going to stay around the house and get some things done around here for a change!! LOL We got to clean our big freezer out and put new mini blinds up in our kitchen. We have a 90 year old farmhouse we have redone over the past 11 years. We both cheap mini blinds about 7 year ago and they have finally had it..lol We bought good ones now for the kitchen in pink and wooden ones for our bedroom which we got up last weekGot to take our fabric toppers to the laundry mat to be cleaned also. Not enough water in our old well to have a washer and dryer!Need to get all my spring cleaning done but I dont have the energy to do that today!! LOL

Monday we got to take Brandon to his orthropetic surgeon. He use to have 2 thumbs on his right had but we had 1 taken off about 2 years ago and hopefully this is his last visit.

Good morning to you too Jamie! That is what I do too..I make my grocery list up and go and get my groceries for about 2 weeks to a month at a time to save money on this high gas!!

Everyone have a great morning. I am off to cook Sausage again I accidentally left mine in my warming oven yesterday I will post my menu for today later.

Morning Beauties!

Hope all is going well this weekend!!!! My hubby and I went out last night a had a great dinner. I had a Martini and a prime rib doesn't get any better than that!

Diana those cookies look so Yummy I just need me some low carb chips and I am set. Awesome pictures. Hope you are feeling better W/ the allergies an all.

Christina hope you are pain free today. Yes, it is best you let the weight thing go and concentrate on feeling better

Rachel this is such a fun group. I post a little on other threads but when I come here it feels like home

Lady I love fitday it has helped me so much. I didn't like it at first it was hard to put in all the new foods but once you get yours in there it is so easy and it is neat to check your averages. Like me, over the last 2 weeks I ate an average of 1710 calories and 14 carbs.... just type in fitday in a search engine it will come up. and thanks for all those yummy recipies the ice cream sounds soooo good.

Hi to everyone else too hope you all have a great low carb weekend!!!!!

My menu:
B- egg cream
l- salad
d-tonight is movie night! I get movies from the library and make food to eat in front of the TV so we are having pizza made with the cheese crust. I am also going to make the pizza sausage cause I can't find any without corn syrup or MSG (my husband can't have MSG you'd be suprised how many thngs have it). Heroin wings and veggies and dip.

The cheese crust and the heroin wings are both new recipes for me so I will let you know how it turns out.

Thanks Chris, those cookies are still sitting in the same place and I'm afraid to eat one!!
I want to see how they are today, being that I left to sit over night to dry out more.
Your dinner last night sounded wonderful!! Oh Yum!!!
You have a great low carb day too!!

Hi Jaimie! You are so purty!!! Look at your avi!!!! It does help to plan doesn't it! Unfortunately for me when I plan something, and I see another meal, I switch to the new one! I'm so finicky like that!!! Why???
I hope you have a wonderful Saturday too!!!

Oh and I actually walked this morning!!! I walked about 2 miles at a nearby park and boy did it feel good!!! DH was kind enough to come with me and we took our little dog. Poor baby, he got cockleberries all over him!! But we go them out.

Hi ladies!

Needless to say, I had alot of reading to do to keep up with you guys! Oh, my God, you all are so inspirational. I really enjoy reading the various posts. Oh by the way, welcome to all the new ladies.

I see many of you do what I've done before and what I'm attempting to do now to get back in the swing of things; plan ahead. Accountability and planning ahead is what works for me so I am going to stick with that.

Once again, I'm enjoying this and it really is helping.

BBL

Good afternoon everyone. Hope it's going well. Ok, first, who has a great recipe for egg creams? I could really use some to add to my collection. Also, what is a rev bun?

It's a beautiful, sunny day here in Florida. It seems that one of our many ducks in the area has decided to make her nest in my yard. So far she has laid three eggs. I can't wait to see the babies. They are so cute. However, all this activity is driving my two cats crazy. They see them through the window and I can tell they want out. They also try to get to the lizards on the window....
I have an orange and white tabby and a maine coon. We adopted them about two years ago when they were 7 mos. old. They are such a joy to have around when my husband is out of town. Actually, my maine coone (Sadie) love to play fetch. (go to youtube and type in ladychurchill and then click on the video.

I'm going to have shrimp for dinner tonight with spaghetti squash. I mix the squash with some butter, salt & pepper and parmesean cheese. Very good!
And, for dessert I'm going to have my jello mousse with a little whip cream.

Well, all, that's about it for my exciting day so far . I'm so glad I found this forum. It keeps me going knowing that I'm not doing this alone. Have a blessed day everyone.

Hi! Give me you e-mail since I cannot PM you and I will send you a bunch of LC Induction Shakes..they are not Egg Creams...but they are really good and only about 5 carb for each large glass...Rev rolls are like Cleo rolls except they are made with Cottage or Ricotta Cheese and are cooked longer..if you look in the where we post recipes there is a sticky for Cleo's made with Cream Cheese and I can also e-mail you the Rev rolls.
