Well, I first did the Atkins diet about 12 years ago when I quit smoking. I had put on about 50 lbs.... . Lately it seems that since I have been laid off from work all I do is snack, snack, snack. It's amazing how fast those little pounds become huge pounds. I've been on the induction for two weeks as of today and have lost 4 lbs. but I think I'm going to stay on one more week. I promised my husband that I would be back down to 115 by the time we go to Cairo at Christmas so I have about 30 more pounds to lose. I'm glad I found this site because I could sure use some new recipes and suggestions.
Look forward to chatting with all of you. Have a great day!!!

Mary
Hi Mary nice to meet ya! Cairo will be so cool!! I am jealous. Congrats on the 4 lbs You have already done amazing by quitting smoking...That has to be tough.

Thank you for the warm welcome everyone. I think I'll be able to stick to this with such a great support system. Between the low carb and my total gym I should have fantastic success...I hope...lol.
Yes, I'm looking forward to going back to Cairo. I lived there for two years and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I will try to add to the collection of recipes with some of them that I have collected from before. It's just that nasty old chocolate that keeps raising it's ugly head.....grrrrrr. Major temptation

You're Welcome!!

You know Christina lost tons of weight, she's a real inspiration!

I would love to see your recipes that you've collected. Anything that's different and legal sounds good to me!!

The chocolate, we use the Lindt 80% kind. It's pretty legal too!

Just in case!!

Good Morning Losing Ladies!!

I'm up early obviously. I wanted to get an early start to my day.
I'm thinking about dropping the coffee because I believe the cream is stalling me. I've been maintaining my weight at 205, and can't get past that again!

So I think I may just drink energy drinks instead to get me revved up!

Being that I'm feeling the affects of TOM, I ate some bites of lc cheesecake last night. I took about 4 bites and threw the rest away. It was getting old anyway.

So today, I need to overcome the feeling to eat too legal food. I have been going through some things at work that is causing me to stress out a little. But for the most part have remained calm and sound!

I'm trying to think things through before I put anything in my mouth that I might regret. I also reach for bottled water too help with my cravings.

I really want to get past and under 200! This month is going to be the month for me to do that.

You all have been a great inspiration for me and with all your exercising and eating on plan! I'm so thankful for all you wonderful Ladies and your enthusiaism!!

I'm moving on and going forward!!!

My menu
B- chicken tenders
L-chicken tenders w/ cottage cheese
D- chicken tenders and a small salad, cottage cheese.

Talk to you all soon!!!

Love Ya!

Good morning everyone! Here is one of my favorite quicky desserts using Jello.

1 small box of sugar free jello (any flavor)
1 cup hot water
1/2 cup cold water
1 - 8 oz pkg of cream cheese

Dissolve jello in hot water. Add cold water. Pour into blender. Add cream cheese (cut up in pieces). Blend. Put in bowl or several small bowls (like little custard bowls) and put in fridge until set.

It's almost like a mousse. Enjoy!

Hi everyone!
Today I am really sore in my hips and legs from walking yesterday. I have been back at walking for a week now and you would think I could get use to this again!! LOL I might make this my rest day because I am close to 40 and my bones just dont want to work the way they did for some reason a year ago..lol..if not I will try to get 30 to 45 min in on my treadmill this afternoon. Still no scale change but that dont discourage me!! I am still in the med to getting dark Ketosis this am so I am burning fat and I am happy about that!

My menu for today is going like this so far
Weight..139.5
B-1 LC Protein Shake..just wanted something different this am
L-Stillman Burger on Rev Roll
S-Steak and Salad

HUGS and Happy Hump Day everyone!!

Hey Diana!!

Sweetie..I know what you are going thru. My scales have not moved in over a week now and I have given up about everything..No Caffeine..no Cream...No cheese...I bet your weight is just trying to adjust itself..it does happen..look at me!! I am burning fat now.

Also..most energy drinks have hidden sugars in them. Do you have time in the mornings to make you a Protein Drink? They only got about 5 carbs in them and they are very filling. I had one this morning for a change. We will see how it last..I can PM or e-mail you my recipes I got from another LC site if you think you would like to try them.

We love you!!

Good to see everyone is doing well!!! That desserts sound wonderful LadyChurchill! Sounds refreshing!!!

Way to go Oct2667!!! Good for you on staying on plan!!!

Hi Jaimie, I'm rooting for you!! You can do it!!!

Hi Chris, hope you're having a great day and lose, lose, lose!!

Hi Luz, have a good one and keep on trucking!

Hi Christina, I don't know how to make a protein drink. I know that sounds crazy, but that's why I drink the energy drink. The one I actually drink is made with Splenda and has no carbs. I may have to do carb calc on it to make sure. It probably has a couple.

LET'S KICK SOME BOOTY!!

Diana don't give up you will break that stall soon! As long as you eat on plan and keep your stress in check

The jello dessert sounds yummy I do something similar instead of cream cheese I just use cream. But I think the Cream cheese would be much more substantial....

Jaimie good for you I'm sure the M/E thing will help you burn! I actually may try it if I am unhappy by the end of this second week on induction.

Christina You are doing great with all the exercising! My sticks are deep purple too. So at least I know that I am burning fat even if the scale doesn't show it all the time

Here is my plan for today:
B- egg cream made with 3 eggs
L-spinach salad with warm bacon dresing
D- Steak and some low carb veggie (going grocery shopping we'll see)
Snacks- coconut bark
Hope you all have a fantastic day!!!!!!

Thank you Chris!!! I'm going to stay on plan no matter what!!

I drank my coffee this morning. . black! The first time in along time. It wasn't bad, but I just hope I don't crave my "real" coffee!

That's what I'm trying to do is eliminate the cream and extra splenda to see if that will help me.

I LOVE Egg Creams. I make mine with 2 eggs, 1/4 c heavy cream, 3 squirts of davinci's sf syrup and 1 chilled cup of black coffee.

Just whip it up in the blender! They are delish and keep me full for a long time.

As soon as my M/E fast is done, I will go back to an Egg Cream for breakfast.

Peace

Hi I am a newbie and my name is Mary.

Tomorrow will be 2 weeks of induction for me. I still get the hunger pangs after meals even though I have upped my fats. Don't know what is going on. I have lost 8 pounds so far. I was expecting more of a weight loss, but I will hang in there and see what happens.

I am sticking to this diet to the letter. Have not been exercising as of yet. I know bad girl. lol but that will be coming very soon.

I do feel my clothes a bit loose fitting at the moment and are happy about that.

I hope there is room for one more, and can't wait to get to know all of you soon.

Mary
