I'm back from the obgyn, he says lack of TOM is due to stress and prescribed me some anti-deppressants. If I don't get a visit from TOM this month than I will have the pcos checked out. Just ate lunch tuna w/2eggs and a Tbs of mayo and a ounce of pork rinds, coffee w/cream. Dinner is bacon burger salad w/blue cheese(walden farms). Tell me if anything on my menus could be causing weight gain, my weight has gone up 3 pounds. I just don't understand
. But I'm not gonna give up, I won't give up on this woe. I know what it can do if I let it. Gotta go study, BBLBaby |

I hope the Anti Depressants work for you g/f...
I think I need some with all I have been going thru lately too...I am back but not happy at all...I went to my Amish Store to get some stuff today and boy..I mean to tell you it only been a month since I been and my stuff I get has went WAY UP!! ![]() I got the last bottle of Liquid Stevia that was on the shelf and I had been paying 12.99 for it...when she went to look for me another bottle out of her new stock she just got it I about had a heart attack when she told me I would have to pay 22.00 a bottle for another one and for now on...![]() ![]() ![]() That made me really mad because the one on the shelf said 12.99 and would not let me have another bottle at that price...so saying that I bought that and some reduced Cocount Flour that had run out in July and they usually let me have that for half off and would only take 20 percent off of it this time...I told them that would be the last time I would be shopping with them that I knew where I could get my LC supplies alot cheaper even with shipping. Sorry for another rant you all but I just had to let that off my chest too...I am so sick of everything I am eating right now...wish I could come up with something good. Hope to catch you all later HUGS!

Christina, you are right about ordering LC supplies on line! Anymore it is just about the same but you don't have the hassle of packing up a little one and going into town. I just bought some Davinci Coffee liqueur from Walmart and am sipping on iced coffee! It's like dessert. Diana no need to worry about us Virginians - we might be crack heads but we are happy crack heads! ![]() |

I posted this question under another thread topic but don't know if it will get answered there, so here goes:
I was a trace on the ketostix this morning having started induction on Tuesday. Do you go deeper or darker into ketosis the longer you are on induction or the lower the carbs? |

Hey Lc family,
I just realized at dinner I didn't measure my salad correctly and had about 4 cups instead of 2 so I'm going to break the ole measuring cup out from now on. I'm talking about yesterday, so that was something else thats been raising my carbs. Also no more swiss mocha. Is there anything sweet thats safe for me to eat thats not in a box. I've come to the point were I pour some Davinci in the blender and blend it with some ice and drink it to satisfy my sweet tooth. See yall later Baby |

Well, I embellished on Linda Sue's Tuna Muffins...OMG, they are amazing
1 – 6 oz can salmon 1/4 C – heavy whipping cream 2 – large eggs 1/4 C – chopped celery 1/4 C – chopped onion 3 oz – shredded monterey jack cheese 2 t – old bay seasonings 6 T – ground flax meal Combine the cream, eggs, celery, onion, old bay and mix well. Add the salmon, cheese and flax to the bowl and mash. Put into 6 greased muffin tins and bake at 350F for 30 min. Per muffin: 200.4 cals; 14.9g fat; 0.9g net carbs; 12.8g protein I had two for dinner and am considering cutting the rest open and spreading veggie cream cheese on them for lunch and dinner tomorrow.

oh Wen! those sound great!! i may have to try those, I have everything but the salmon now... and i need to go shopping sooooooo...... YUM!!
hi di!! no, am not at the boat today, maybe tomorrow. i am heading to MIL house w/DH - she needs a roof over her porch and has been asking for months... no one else who lives closer is doing it so we are taking the 2 hr drive over and gonna put one up for her. she is just the sweetest person ever and so I don't mind going. DS is at football practice this morning and DD is sleeping, she worked late ... so they will be staying home but they are def old enough for that. i hope everyone has a great day today!! i was a bit off yesterday but is ok.. i am reading that Crack the Fat Loss Code book and may start cycling my carbs ... it makes so much sense. i won't do it yet till i go over the whole thing but i have noticed on days i've had a bit more where i think i've been off plan slightly and go right back into strict induction style i still loose. so i may take that plunge. plus the girls in that thread in the main lobby seem to be doing well w/it ...however i won't be leaving here!!!!!!! hope you guys enjoy your saturday!! i don't have a menu plan yet today so may try to put it up later.. i sure need to update dailyplate or fitday!! haven't been on either! bbl !!! Well i feel really good this morning, i am now 191. I can not remember the last time i was at this weight, so i must be doing something correct.
I have underactive thyroid and i am also PCOS, i am going to the Doctors on the 5th, i can not wait for him to weigh me , my doctor is always saying you need to lose weight, i tried dieting, exercising and nothing seemed to work. So hopefully he will be happy with this lose. Also he put me on the birthing pill, which i took myself off as i was gaining even more weight on it, so i will have to talk to him about that. I no my Testosterone levels are up, as my hair has started to fall out big time. We shall see what he says about that. This diets has blown me away, i dont no why i never tried it before now. Have a great weekend. Karen x

Hi Christina! I"m sorry about your day! I hope everything gets better for you!!!
![]() I was thinking about what you said, that you think I may have PCOS. What I don't understand is, I had regular periods before I did lc. After the first 3 months of lc, that's when my periods started to become fewer. I know that when one loses weight, that affects their TOM, but this is crazy! So I'm not sure until I get tested. I'll be doing that soon, but I need to see what my insurance will cover first. Hi Karen, Whhooohooo on the weight loss!! I was wondering what happened you. Glad to see you back on posting your success!!!! ![]() I know what you mean about why didnt we do this before. I did high protein in '97, I found out about that way of eating from my former bil who was into weights and body building. He got my sister on it and she lost weight quickly. Then I started too, and lost some good weight. The only thing was, I was just doing it, and not reading up on the why's and the how's. So ended gaining all the weight back. Now, I've learned my lesson and I am very excited and committed to this woe. |

Good morning.
Today had a late start, but the rest of the day is going to be pretty busy. Oh, and my experiment of having a protein shake worked - my blood sugar was 90 this morning, a much nicer number than 72. B - Egg creme - 2 eggs, 3 T heavy cream, 1 scoop protein powder, SF peach, SF blueberry, club soda L - Salmon Muffins S - Deviled Egg D - Salmon Muffins S - protein Shake |

Down 8 pounds and back to where I started when on maintenance. Now I am choosing to lose another 8 before the cruise, but at least I feel like I am in the winners circle again! It has taken 13 days to get here which really isn't bad, and I am planning on staying on induction for at least 3 more weeks and probably will stay on it while cruising. Then when I get back I can start adding back in some foods like greek yogurt. But I still have to decide if I will X out all nuts and food bars. Probably so, they added alot to my weight gain and also the bars give me gas!
But when you do add in foods, the cravings can start so that is really something I need to address as I was snacking alot. Have a great weekend! Bella

Christina - can I get that LC Zuccini bread recipe!!! I was telling my best friend just this morning that I would LOVE to have a piece of zuc bread heated in the microwave with butter on top!
Here is some random BS: I had a hysterectomy back in 2003 and after reading all of your weight and health issues with TOM, I am even happier that I had one. I was 43 at the time and KNEW I was not going to have any more babies so with all of the issues I was having, my gyn said let's take it out! I still have my ovaries though so I will have some menopausal symptoms going on. Before I started LCing again in May, I thought I was having hot flashes from menopause but it turns out that all of my health problems were gluten/wheat related. Anyone else noticed how soft and supple your skin has become??? Went to the Crosby, Stills and Nash concert at the Ntelos Pavilion in Portsmouth VA last night. It was awesome and it was awesomely HOT! I think I sweated 2 pounds off because the scale went down again this morning! ![]() I just might meet or exceed my 160 goal by Sept. 20th thanks to your encouragement and inspiration! ![]() Keep on keeping off, girls! ![]()

Hello my LC family,
Been gone all day. My menu today is pretty basic, had eggs and flaxmeal for breakfast, 3 slices of bacon, coffee w/cream. Lunch was the same as breakfast, snack was pork rinds. Dinner a huge porkchop w/2 cups of salad. Had 2 more cups of coffee w/cream. Well thats all and water. Hope everyone is having a good LC weekend, I will be back later. Baby |

Hi...sure..its not my recipe and its the first time I fixed it today..I just had a slice of it and WOW its so good and moist...hope you have everything to make it...its Kevin PAs recipe and I bumped it to the top of the recipes Forums on LCF...here it is...the only thing I did different was put my large Zucchini in my food processor to keep from grinding my fingers... ![]() Zucchini Coconut Nut Bread (12 slices at 2 carbs each) 1 1/2 cups unpeeled zucchini, shredded, drained, and squeezed dry. 2 eggs 1 splenda quick pack 1/3 cup granular erythritol 2 T. not/Sugar 1/2 cup coconut oil, melted 1 cup almond flour 1 cup wheat protein isolate 5000 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 cup pecans, chopped 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut Prepare zucchini, shred, drain, and squeezed dry in a tea towel. Beat eggs, sweetener mix, and oil. Add zucchini. Combine flours, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside 1/2 cup flour mixture and add the rest to the creamed mixture. Add vanilla and mix thoroughly. Add the remaining 1/2 cup flour to coconut and nuts and stir to coat. Then add to mixture and combine thoroughly. Pour into a greased 9 x 5 pyrex loaf dish and bake in a 325 preheated oven for 60 minutes or until done. Cool 10 min in dish before removing. I will more than likely try to have a hysterectomy when I turn 45..that is when my mom had me.... We are wanting 1 more child so after a few rounds of birth control we might try again...OH my...great going on the 2 lb...now why didn't you take me to the concert with you g/f!! I love them!! ![]() Catch you later..HUGS! Last edited by mac24312; 08-02-2008 at 04:47 PM.. |
