My menu is pathetic. The main diff is that we are in diff continents. If given a choice it will be meat and steak for me. But my folks are living with me and im in charge of their meal.

I have been trying to "ASIANise" this Induction but it is sooo tough. I have been clean and typing this post to you makes me perspire a gallon. Good right ?

I realised i have not introduce myself fully. My apologies. I am a 29yrs old WAHM to a 8 yrs old girl. I used to weigh not more than 100lbs during my teens and my most heaviest weight was during my pregnancy 180lbs. Short-term goal is to hit 140lbs by May 1st or be able to wear size 8 comfortablely and not snugly.

I have been tried all sorts of pills and diet regimes but it does last long. The weight will slowly creeps back. So far finding this forum and meeting all the gals here have been a major motivating and enriching experience.

Wishing you have a blast when you wake up and it will be my turn to hit the sack. Cheers!!

Hi Samantha!

I'm up this morning at 3:45am. I usually don't wake up until 4am but an early 15 min only allows me to get on the computer that much longer, LOL!!
Oh and have my coffee too!

How nice of you that your parents live with you. A very selfless act!

I didn't realize that your food options were limited due to your cirucmstance. There is no way you can eat chicken or beef? I know you have to cook for your parents, and it's hard cooking separate meals.

But you're doing the best you can! And as long as you can lose, that's the main thing!!

I hope you have a wonderful evening and a sweet sleep!!

Talk to you soon, I hope!!!!

Good Morning Friends...

Wow, such great losses reported yesterday, CONGRATS BackAtIt and Chris

I am trucking along on M/E, not much movement on the scales, but I am bound to lose something by Saturday...will keep you all posted.

One of my 14 hour days again today...I need to make a plan for when I am teaching. I have dropped the dairy for the time being, so I must think of something I can take to have instead of those LC shakes...too much dairy in them.

Morning all!
Boy Diana you get up early. I am definitely not a morning person. I get up at 6:45 Mon Wed and Fri to take my son to school and go to Curves. The other 2 days he has to ride the bus. I told him I could only take him if I was going out somewhere cause gas is just too high. I have combined a lot of my errands that way lately. Anyways, he doesn't like the bus because when he takes that he has to get up an hour earlier...can't blame him. Plus, this gets me to my workout early. I don't know what I'll do over the Summer. I Know over Spring Break I was not motivated at all and didn't get to curves until about 10. I like to go in the early A.M. and be done with it.

Jaime- I bet this is tough for you working all those hours. I'm sure it is easier when you can eat at home all day.. like me.
Plus, for those of you that work I am sure the last thing you want to do is come home and cook. This WOE does require a lot of homemade food. That is why it is so good for you.

Diana how was your goodie from last night??? Inquiring minds want to know!

Samantha-Yeah pills never work! If they did we'd all be thin
This will be your success just be patient and hang in there!
When I lost 30lbs....first time around it took me 6 months but I kept it off mostly for about 7 years.... until about 2 years ago. So it may take awhile but it will stay off.

Ugh.

I just got the internet at my new apartment, and I'm fiiiiiinally all moved in. But I went off plan this weekend. I started off Saturday morning around 6:30 (moving day) with a piece of string cheese and some bacon, which was pretty much all that was left in the fridge.

Before I knew it, it was 2:30 and I hadn't eaten since breakfast! Nothing was unpacked in the new place...and there's an Arby's across the street. So I gave in and had a roast beef sandwich. I hope that with all the up and down, up and down the staircase, and lifting, moving and opening boxes, my body used those carbs for energy and didn't have a chance to store them. But i also had a slice of pizza that night.

I sure picked a hell of a time to start induction! I haven't gained but I haven't lost, and now I want to keep up with induction for another two weeks or so to make up for this weekend. Bah.

Hi Chris, I'll tell you about what I made in a sec.!!
Yep, I'm an early riser, always have been, thanks to my dad!!! When we were in our teens, every weekend he would knock on our door and make us get up early. He didn't like it when we slept in. And I was the ONLY one out of my brothers and sisters who got up. It's no wonder!!!
Good for you on your exercising! I need to do that too!!!

Um Ladies, I don't mean to sound uneducated, but what does SAHM stand for?

I'll get back with you on that thing I made!!!

Love Ya Ladies!!

The reporters on my local news were talking about a cookie from a bakery they said was delicious. It's called Angel cookie. It's made with meringue, chocolate chips, walnuts and probably another ingredient. But it looked awesome.

What's funny is two of the reporters said they were on Atkins and wanted to know if it was A friendly. Duh, wouldn't they know if it was or not!!

So I thougtht that I could make these but a low carb version. I tried it yesterday and used my new sf chocolate chips I just got and the cookie didn't come out quite like the one I saw, but this morning when I ate one it was so good!

In the meringue, I used liquid splenda, which is why it didn't look the same. So on Friday, I'll try the granular splenda to see if it will work. The other thing is the chocolate chip did not lose it's shape, it held it and was just wonderful!! These chips are not the same ones that Netrition sell, these are different and I absolutely love them!!!

I went on the internet to look up a similare recipe for these cookies and found something that looks very close to these cookies. I'll be trying them on Friday for sure.

I took a pic of the one I made last night but don't want to gross you out.

Good Afternoon beautiful ladies!! Melinda it is great to have you here!!! God Bless you for not going completly into a carb fest during a stressful move!!! This is a great place for support, everyone is amazing!

Drs. appointment went great yesterday. He was so pleased with how I am doing. I got cleared today, finally. to do light exercizing Up until this point he considered light housekeeping too much (my hero lol) Anyway scale is showing 1 more pound down the tubes!!! Had a hard time eating yesterday...every thing I put in my mouth tasted like sugar...So much so that I had myself running to labels to verify. Total was 16 for the day...weird. Any one else experience this?

Today I decided to do some journal work and write down my medical journey today. Have not talked about it really and I think it will be helpful to purge!!!

Going to be doing a marathon spring cleaning today..armed everyone with buckets of pinesol..so be well and strong today ladies... We are all meant for a healthier, happier us!

Made a meat quiche this morning and that and a small salad will be on the menu today!

New to this forum

Hi everyone! I hope you'll let me join you all. I need the support.
Well, I first did the Atkins diet about 12 years ago when I quit smoking. I had put on about 50 lbs.... . Lately it seems that since I have been laid off from work all I do is snack, snack, snack. It's amazing how fast those little pounds become huge pounds. I've been on the induction for two weeks as of today and have lost 4 lbs. but I think I'm going to stay on one more week. I promised my husband that I would be back down to 115 by the time we go to Cairo at Christmas so I have about 30 more pounds to lose. I'm glad I found this site because I could sure use some new recipes and suggestions.
Look forward to chatting with all of you. Have a great day!!!

Mary

Mary
