Morning everyone!

Happy MOANDay...and if you hear some groaning around 12 Noon CST, you'll know it's Ogre.... That's when I'm gonna tell him.

Patt - sorry you were by your lonesome this weekend on the thread for the most part....I was just too dang busy to check in. On the computer yesteday afternoon, but doing bills, and then running down an MSN account that was open on my desktop. Come to find out it was my 17 year old nephew's and what emails were on it prompted calls to my Boet. I understand 17 year old boys and their raging hormones, however, he shouldn't have used my computer for signing into a particular site and what's funny is...he's not bright enough to think of logging out. Let's just leave it at that. Ya'll know I'm far from being a prude, but I got notified by Yahoo that spam was coming from my computer and I couldn't figure out why, since I always turn it off....and it happened on Sunday while the nephew stayed with me all day and "slept til 2:30pm"...yeah...right...
Anyway, between that and my OM calling me and warning me to turn off my phone since Ogre and family were stuck in Colorado and thinking about calling me to drive their Expedition to Dallas to pick them up since they missed their connecting flight to Tyler, it was an interesting day.

On top of everything else, DA was very removed from me all day Saturday and Sunday which led me to thinking that maybe he was getting cold feet. I gave him space though and let him be. Last night I asked him about it and he said he'll have to tell me about it sometime but can't yet. Got me to thinking. Yesterday afternoon when I called him and asked him if he had a miniute he flat out said "no, I don't" so I told him to call me when he did. I think he was out ring shopping....there was a lot of noise around him. He also went to the Mall on Saturday and then didn't expound on it later when we talked. I think it's finally gonna happen, ladies... Poor guy is probably afraid of talking to me...he is the kind of guy that is so straight up that he could never play poker...he doesn't have an ounce of subterfuge in him...it's hilarious....I think that's why he was so removed this weekend, afraid he'll say something accidentally.

Mom took the news pretty well..the first words out of her mouth was "It's gonna kill your gfather. You're his favorite and he asks for you every single day". OUCH! That was the guilt trip. But then I also pointed out to her that is she wants me to give her a grandchild, it isn't gonna happen with him there and me here. That gave her some consolation I think. At least now I can talk more openly so that stressor is off.

Tried to do my taxes yesterday after balancing my checkbook and paying bills, but kept getting booted off so will have to work on that this week during my lunches.

I did pretty good eating-wise over the weekend - made an absolutely killer alfredo sauce from scratch last night that I ate over spaghetti squash. Didn't last on cheat free though as I succumbed to one of those dang cheddar biscuits at Red Lobster when with Mom...although I did have tilapia for lunch with broccoli.

Only worked out once - on Saturday - but starting with my trainer in the morning to get back on track. All illegal foods are gone from my house (took them to Mom's yesterday) and starting over.

Am feeling more positive today as well. Got lots of work done here at the office this weekend too, cleaning stuff out. Also cleaned out 4 boxes of stuff at my house, sorted through papers, etc. and found my resume so I can now start updating it.

Menu today (I agree, we need to post them!!!!) is:
B: curried frittata
L: tuna salad (tuna, lite mayo, sf relish, onion and tomato) over baby lettuces
D: Red Lobster leftovers: grilled tilapia with broccoli

Gonna start posting my FitDay totals again too. Will come back to do that and to do indies.

Wish me luck!!!!

Wow, it's been quiet!

Glad things went relatively well with your mom, Stevie. I hope your right about the ring shopping. How exciting!

Let us know how Ogre accepted the news.

Our weekend plans were cancelled as my FIL ended up in the hospital and we made a trip to visit him instead of having our romantic weekend away. Ha, some things are just not meant to be. Anyway… my FIL is 84 years old & had been unable to eat since last Tuesday. Eventually even sipping water was choking him. We received a call Friday night that he had been admitted into the hospital. By the time we arrived at the hospital on Saturday, they had done a scope and get this….. they found a chicken bone lodged in his throat! Needless to say, he’s able to eat and feeling much better since it was removed. We were really relieved it was something so simple.

Hey all...

Deed is done. He doesn't want me to tell my co-workers yet - wants me to talk to DA tonight about "more time"....lol...he said hte 6 weeks is generous, and he appreciates it, but doesn't know if he'll "find someone of your caliber to replace you in that time" so he's thrown out a suggestion of if he needs more time, would I possibly consider it, if he personally pays for my mortgage and utilities until they can find somebody. I explained that the dates we chose were important due to DA's deadlines and the time he'll have available to help me move but that I'd talk to DA tonight just in case. Gave him a little hope until tomorrow...lol..he did say that he will be giving me a bonus no matter what should the money come in later on the cases that I worked so hard on the past 2 years...yeah right...heard that one before. My old firm promised the same thing and I never saw a dime. I told him I"ll put the feelers out among my contacts as well. Of course, I'm under no obligation to him whatsoever and he's trying to manipulate me but I think he's really scared since I take care of so much for him.

Meg - sorry to hear about plans being cancelled hon...but glad your FIL turned out with not anything too nasty requiring a more intensive or surgical intervention.

Patt - did you find the bed you were looking for?

Connie - did you start the Chantix?

Rita - no change on the weight loss front, huh? We thought it was getting warmer here but then the temps plummeted today and will be cold tomorrow as well. Brrrrrrr! They did forecast snow for this evening but that's changed now...but still...77 yesterday and today the high is 50...huge change!

Mitz - you can lurk or post...we don't care...we'd much prefer you to post though...if you want to continue to walk beside hte wagon, that's your perogative, darlin'...but is there anything I can do? Message me if you need to talk.

Changing my menu for tonight. Don't want to do fish twice in one day so having a large hamburger patty which will bring my calories up to 1100 for today. Fit Day shows:

Cal: 1100
Carb: 21
Fat: 57
Fiber: 4
Protein: 114

I may want to snack on a few nuts this afternoon for munchies and that will take me over and really trying hard to get back into an Induction period. So will try to forego the nuts. (I weigh them to make sure I only have one ounce).

I just know I'm going to want to have something sweet too. I did try the chocolate thingy made with cream cheese, cocoa and whey protein powder on the weekend and it was okay....just not as good as I had hoped. I'm finding I have a major sweet tooth lately which is not a good thing.

Must run...wanted to check in and let you know what happened.

Hi everyone.....

This weather is crazy......it was 62 degrees here yesterday and within 7 hrs the temperature dropped over 30 degrees and it was snowing....we only got a couple inches so thats good. We were out this weekend enjoying the nice weather...that 62 degrees and nice warm sun felt soooooo good. Right now it's 21 degrees

Meg my FIL is having problems right now too......he fell Saturday about midnight when he was trying to take his pants off.....broke a rib when he hit the toilet and hit his head on something ...we have a police scanner so we knew what had happenned before hubbys stepmom even called us..she didn't call for the ambulance until 2:45 Sunday morning. The hospital gave him pain meds and sent him home....about noon today the scanner went off and the ambulance had to go get him again because he's been throwing up, hubbys stepmom called me from the hospital and didn't know what was wrong yet. It could be the flu or maybe the pain meds since he admitted he was taking them more often than he should have been She said he had a temp of 102

Stevie your boss handled the news better than I thought he would as for weight loss TOM just left.....I didn't gain a lot of water weight this time so I didn't lose a lot either......and I'm feeling like I can actually get back to eating some protein again so thats good.

to the rest of you

Hey there everyone! Hope you all had a great Monday! I didn't sleep again last night, but still had a pretty good day! very slow at work these days! I hit the gym after work. STevie...I did 15 minutes on the elliptical and know I could do more. Then did 25 on the treadmill. Didn't do weights...the place was full of jocs today hogging the free weight section. hate that! But Monday is the worst day to go...busiest time!
I'm doing fine onthe eating...moving up the "ggod carb" ladder and have amitainied the loss from induction a week or 2 ago.
Today:

B: 2% cheese stick, Dixie carb counter muffin (Netrition sells the mix!)
L: chicken salad, 4 strawberries w/ REdi whip
D: buffalo burger, sweet potato "fries"

Stevie..well, I guess it went pretty well with both your mom and the ogre! That is great! Can't blame the ogre for wanting more time from you, but 6 weeks is an unheard of notice! Dont' let him get in the way of what is best for you and Alan...
Geez...the nephew! I hope your BOET lays into the kid! That is really awful to do an someone else's computer!
Your alfredo sauce is making me drool!

Nope, I did not find the bed or the lamp. I know I can find the woodsy log type bed in some places near our cabin.

Meg...sorry about your FIL and that you missed your romantic get away. Hard to believe he had a chicken bone in his throat and didn't know it! I'm glad he is better!

Rita...yes, it got colder here too and no one is happy about it. but it IS March, and that is how it is here! Sorry about your FIL too. Enjoy these older fellows.....ours are all gone now and we miss them!

Have a good evening!

Had a very good weekend foodwise. I was "on plan" and did not think about cheating even once

Went to see the college yesterday with dd and she was unimpressed with the campus but really liked the programs. So, it was the first one and at least we got that under our belt.

Had a big doc appt today and I am scheduled for surgery on my eyes for April and May. Thank God I have easy access to the docs at Wills Eye in Philly I am a little scared and very excited.

Stevie - great news about your Mom and Ogre. . Don't let money tempt you into changing your plans. You have waited far too long to get here For me sweets=stress. I know things are nuts right now but take some time for yourself.

Meg & Coco I hope your FIL's get well soon!

Patt WTG on maintenance! I plan to join you there as soon as possible Finding the right furniture can be a pain and fun all at the same time. Since you are the free-weight goddess, what exercise can I do to strengthen my upper back? I have always had a large bust and rolled my shoulders forward to hide it. Yes, I know, bad habit and a very tough one to break but I thought if I could strengthen my upper back muscles it would help alot. I have also been working my core to improve my posture. Any advice greatly appreciated.

To all you girls where it is usually warm this time of year, hahahaha we got your weather for the next couple days! I plan to enjoy it!!!

Time for sleep, check in tomorrow.

Cat

ps - what happened to Mel and Kathy "Violet" who were here ages ago?

Good morning!

Am back to my usual schedule of the gym and then having breakfast while I post. Worked out with my trainer.....and feeling it.....and it serves me right... Did 5 minutes on the elliptical to get the ball rolling then an hour of intense weight training. I told him "you know those "last chance workouts" that they do on the Biggest Loser???? I want that! It felt really good this morning. Although I worked out on Saturday, I only did 70 minutes elliptical and 20 of weight training.

Talked to a GF there who knows Ogre (she's an attorney too) and when I told her I gave notice and that he wants me to stay longer, she just rubbed her thumb against her index and middle fingers in the international sign of "money"....I agree..

Talked to DA last night about it. Ogre is talking about wanting me to stay for 3 months, but we're willing to extend it by 4 weeks only, and that's if he pays me extra to stay. He talked yesterday about paying me an extra $1000 per month to cover my mortgage and utilities if I would stay. I told DA that I really don't want to stay longer, but, the reality is...the house probably won't be in shape and ready to go on the market by 5/1 anyway. I've been using spare time wisely, but there's a crapload to do - it's about 2200 square feet and only me. Also considering DA's deadline of 4/15 which he think will also go over by who knows how long. He's coming down here to help me move up there and we're planning on a mini vacation along the way although I don't think he's taken into account that we're going to have Jazzy with us. Anyway, I left myself an out when Ogre and I talked yesterday and I think I'm just going to have a sit-down with him today. I'm bringing up the raises (or lack thereof) on behalf of the girls as well while we're talking. Who knows? It may be a moot point. But since he didn't want me to tell the girls yesterday, he's wasting time right there in getting an ad in the paper. I also want to have a hand in hiring my replacement. So we're going to be doing some negotiations today. I'll need flex time to meet with people for my house (need an electrician to do some work, etc.) as well. I think we can come to an amicable resolution here. He wants to try to find someone and get her trained before I leave. If I give him 3 months, he'll get what he wants and take advantage. If I give him one extra month, he'll be more likely to really try to find somebody. Not only that but, let's face it. I've put my life on hold for maningi (lots of) years..first the ex hubby (who always got his way), then my parents and their house...don't want to go on hold any more. So one month is doable, but not more than that. I will also need an out as well. What if the perfect job comes up for me in the meantime? I'll have to leave earlier than thought. He needs to consider that possibility as well.
Anyway, sorry to ramble but I'm working through all the aspects...let me know your thoughts as well - I'm laying it all out so that I can see any other options/aspects I haven't considered.

Cat - Kathy disappeared - remember she started her own company? Haven't seen her since. Mel is still around the boards and I get messages from her occasionally. Glad you finally got some warm weather! We were cold yesterday and today but then back to the 60's. What eye surgery are you scheduled for? Did I miss something?

Patt - I really cannot do induction I think. I will still keep my carbs low however - that usually works for me. Today I brought 3.5 oz of Fage Greek yogurt with 7 blackberries. It's in my fridge and I didn't want it to go bad. However, that's a snack for this afternoon. Thought of you as I was fixing the berries. WELL DONE on the elliptical! I told you it would get easier each time you get on it. You'll find you "hit your stride" and then you can keep going, or at least I do. It's like the endorphins kick in. I also don't like hte gym on Mondays since too crowded.

Rita - At least TOM is visiting you...send him this way, will ya? I got to thinking that maybe the reason he disappeared is because I stopped working out???? Since pretty much no exercise for the past 2 months and he hasn't shown up, I now wonder if he will now that I"m back exercising. It will be an interesting experiment. It was in the 60's yesterday morning here and then dropped also - they said we might see a bit of snow last night but nothing as usual. It was darn cold this morning when I set out for the gym though!

How's everyone else? Bella? Mitz? Connie? Marla? (ask me about the GS cookies....lol)

Menu today is:
B: frittata
L: broiled tilapia topped with a little bit of lobster meat/shrimp and 2/3c broccoli
S: 3.5oz Fage Greek yogurt with 7 blackberries
D: small ribeye steak - probably with broccoli - need to eat it up.

Will check FitDay and make adjustments accordingly. Now I must run and put on the makeup, brush the teeth, etc....gotta get back into my old routine.

Will talk to ya'll later....

Dunno about the season finale. I finally got caught up this weekend for the past 2 episodes. Meant to tell you that, like you, I'm rooting for Brittany. Glad that one guy (the bald one) left. He appeared to me to be a "Hanger-on". Not surprised that Mark (I think it was him right???) made the sacrifice on the last one, since he was having a problem losing and, besides, his brother is still on there anyway and I'm sure they'll split the money if the brother wins anyway. When Brittany was jumping over those beams, I was rooting her on and glad that she won it for the Black Team.

Yea, I am hoping for her too. But I think the cards are stacked against her as she is alrady under 200 and a female Still, I think she will be AMAZING
at the end even if she doesn't actually win. Paul was pretty whiney, and I think Kelly won't last much longer. Maybe she will go home tonight? Apparently they are no longer in teams.

Whatever happens

Don't tell me!!!! I DVR it and only watch it on Friday nights usually.

Ran my FitDay and did surprisingly well. Changed my evening veggie to a Caesar salad and I'm going to slice the ribeye on top of it to let the meat juices get into the lettuce...Yum!

I did break down this morning and had an ounce of Planter's Cashew lover's mix - I was starving.

FitDay totals (including 2 snacks):
Cal: 1657
Fat: 103
Carb: 32
Fiber: 8
Protein: 148

Higher in carbs but got lots more fiber in today which is important this week and I'm eating a variety of stuff rather than the same ole same ole. Hopefully it will be fine. Still low cal as well although I like to keep it around the 1400's if possible. With the workout this morning, I'm hoping it will counteract the extra calories. If I forego the yogurt as an afternoon snack, I'll be back down. Anybody with any idea for crunchy lc snacks? I find I"m wanting a crunch lately.

The tilapia was pretty good though. It's my 2nd fish serving this week so far.

Ogre still hasn't said a word but the OM is on his way back from Houston and will arrive around 2:30pm so he may be waiting for him.

Need to run and pay some bills now. ttyl!

Hey there!
Another chilly day here and now they are saying snow tomorrow! I shouldn't be surprised...that is what it does in March here!
And another day at the gym! Did about 17 min elliptical and 20 treadmill. Weight area still full of young jocs! We are thnking it may make more sense to just buy an elliptical here...we have hand weights anyway....something to think about!
Cat...so, did you rule out that college? It is quite a process! Upper back...not sure what free weight thing to do for that! I usually use the lat pull machine for the back....I'm usually working more on arms and then squats and lunges with weights. I miss Kathy too. I always liked hearing about her gardening!

Stevie...hope you got a chance to negotiate with the boss! I agree, an extra month is a good compromise. Especially if you need a little more time on the house and he will pay for it!
I agree that going back to strict induction is hard! I think you will be fine just keeping carbs lower. I like the yogurt with berries too. And most any eating plan stresses how healthy berries are! And hey, you are doing good with the fish! I better put that on my plan next week!
I will be celebrating my birthday this weekend so there will be a planned cheat. I'm thinking we are going to PF Changs. It's "upscale" chinese, if you don't have one near you. Very good and a nice atmosphere, unlike most Chinese places! So I'm being good this week and will be very strict again next week!
Well, that's about it! Going to check on the pork chops. It's that and cole slaw tonight!

Morning!

Told my OM yesterday afternoon and he was thrilled. Told him that DA bought the cow or, at least, is buying it"..he bust out laughing and gave me a hug and was happy for me. He said "great for you, bad for us"...We've been trading witty versions back and forth on that old saying for the past 6 months. That's why I wanted to be the one to tell him. Then asked him if I could tell the girls since Jimmy wanted me to wait and he said to go ahead and do it....so I told the girls "It's official - you're allowed to know"... Ogre never talked to me yesterday so I suspect he will do so today at the OM's urging.

Thought I was hitting the gym this morning but my body had other plans....I swear, ladies, sometimes I think I'm omnipotent and don't realize that my body is aging after all. I cannot hardly walk or move today. My legs, my back, my arms, my rotator cuffs...everything hurts...not just sore, but hurts like the devil..... I actually ran my jacuzzi tub this morning and jumped in there instead of a shower...feel a little better now, but need to get some cardio down so will have to go early tomorrow to get some in before my PT session again.

So far having stayed on Plan this week is working well. I'm down 3lbs to 153 (had hit 156 ) Of course most of it is water weight, but as long as I start feeling better, that's the key.
Today's menu is:
B: beef/lite sausage frittata with onions & green peppers
S: 1 oz nuts
L: herbed dijon chicken breast over baby lettuce with Caesar dressing drizzled on it (Haven't had time to make my Italian lemon juice one)
S: 1/2 navel orange (maybe - will revise after I see FitDay)
D: Maybe more frittata if hungry. I made an extra large one and cut it up into 8 pieces so that I can have some in the evenings for dinner if I want to.

I'm trying to add a little fruit into my diet.

Patt - I agree berries are good and I happen to love them. Prefer raspberries and blackberries over blurberries however, when the Texan blueberries come into season, I will get some of those, freshly picked. They are awesome! Checked out the primary here and my OM says it's probably Hillary. But we still have the Caucuses (sic) here to go. Don't ask me...it's really weird and hard to explain. Saw a mention of it online yesterday. Only required by the Democrats. My OM actually got elected last night as Chairman for his precinct and will be appearing at a meeting to decide who goes down to Austin to cast the votes for the Senatorial election. (Or something like that....lol)

Bella - Thanks for not telling me...I'll be watching it Friday night or Saturday night. Supposed to see my BGF possibly on Friday night to catch her up with what's been going on with me and catch up on her life too.

Need to run FitDay and will be back later to post it.

Where is everybody?????

Good Morning

Man it is quiet here lately. Does that mean everyone is off the wagon?

Bella – I enjoyed the Biggest Loser last night. That immunity card saved that butt this week. I’m afraid that person is gone without the added help of something like that. (OK, double talking so I don’t ruin it for Stevie)

Stevie – I think the offer of an additional 4 weeks is awesome! It seems to work for both sides. I do think it’s odd that he didn’t discuss it with you yesterday as it was his question. Sounds like you may have overdone it with the weight training. You should feel it, but not be in pain. Take the time to recover so you don’t injure yourself.

Patt – Happy Birthday! Upscale Chinese is definitely something we don’t have around here. I love Chinese food. In fact, we used to have it every Sunday night until we began our new & improved lifestyle! Now Sunday’s are primarily Barbequed steaks (DH’s fav). Great job on the exercise… you’ll soon be addicted.

Rita – How’s your FIL doing? I hope it was as simple as taking too many meds.

Catherine –What type of eye surgery are you having? Checking out additional colleges in the near future?

Hi to everyone else. Enjoy your day!

Morning Ladies,

Meg's comment about "does that mean everyone is off the wagon" got me out of my haze and forced me to post! Thank you, Meg! I'm NOT off the wagon, just had a lot on my mind the last few days.

The weekend was great...Saturday we celebrated my great-neice's 2nd birthday and I abstained from ALL sweets! Yippeee! I helped serve the 20+ guests so that kept me from having time to eat. Sunday was church and eating with friends after church...fish, salad, and green beans. Monday lunch was mexican food...but legal mexican. Monday evening was lasgna at my MIL's celebrating DH's birthday. I served myself an extra large helping of salad and lasagna, but didn't eat the noodles. I did have a small serving of the chocolate mint pie. Yesterday was fajitas for lunch and chicken wings for dinner. Tonight....I'm not sure....maybe more pork loin and salad?

The weigher said 159.5 this morning and I'm in serious need of some bathroom action, if you get my drift. SO maybe.....just maybe, when everything's working properly, I'll drop another pound or two.

You guys are all watching The Biggest Loser. Does anyone watch American Idol? The big scandal today (and yesterday) was the male singer from Arizona who was a stripper at a male strip club for three years. Hummmmm, that's interesting! He sang really well last night and I've always been neutral on him. The one that literally drives me crazy is that Danny Noriega (sp?) kid with the off-kelter haircut. He's just a smart a $$ in my opinion. He looks like a girl....hummmm....now that I think about it....maybe he and the stripper have something going on!

Stevie, I'm getting such a kick out of the work saga. Orge really isn't good with people, is he? I told you Mom would be OK. You're going to have to hold her hand, but she'll be alright.

Cat, I'm with Stevie....what are you doing to your eyes?

Warden Patt, I was thinking about you this week. We were in the "snow path" for a big winter storm that was supposed to hit the midwest. The weatherman was saying 6-12" which is a lot for northern Arkansas. I woke up early yesterday morning, listening for cars driving by...were they going fast or slow? I didn't hear anything, so got up, looked out the window and NOTHING! Nada, not a flake! Good grief! How do you go from 6-12" and get nothing? I kinda felt sorry for the DSs they were SO ready for a snow day with real snow, not ice like we've been having! I'm like you with the whole political process! This is amazing. Nothing like I've ever seen before in national politics. And with Hillary winning TX and OH, things will continue to rock and roll!

Mitz, get your b u tt in here and give us some positive encouragement! Tell us what's going on with Jakie and did Pete (the professional, trained maintenance man) every get YOUR plumbing fixed?

Gotta go. I've got an investment club meeting and I've got to go to the bank before that. Hi to Rita, Bella, Vi, and anyone else I missed.

Marla

Man, is it EVER quiet in here! Sometimes I can hrdly kep up and other times it is dead!
I wonder how Connie is doing? She disappeared here!
Stevie, glad you got to offically "tell the girls". Telling everyone must make it so much more real! Enjoy the fruit! I'm adding some in too! Seems healthy! I was watchng Oprah at the gym yesterday and they had Dr. Oz. one. They had people swallow a camera pill and they followed it through their digestion. It was pretty amazing what happened when people did not have enough fiber. Not good! So, I am reevaluting how I eat. From here it will be more whole grains and fruit. I will always go back to induction if I gain or go on vacation etc. We'll see what happens!

Meg...glad you popped in!

Marla...I don't watch American Idol or really any of the reality shows. Which is pretty limiting these days! Not much is left!
Sounds like you are eating well!
Pretty amazing that they predicted 6-12 but you got nothing! Well, that's good! We got about an inch today. Messed up thedriving!

I have developed a strange rash on one side of my chest. benadryl and "itch" cream are not helping. I'm afraid it may be shingles... I am going to call the Dr. tomorrow and make her take a look at me! From reading, there is a drug that can help, but it has to be given early. What's next??? (I shoudn't even say that!) I'm crossing my fingers that it isn't that, but you know how it goes looking up stuff on the net! It sure looks like that!
Well, that's about it!

Hello to all of you MIA!!

WOE: Still thinking about it...
I'm baaaack!!

Marla, MY plumbing is just fine, thank you very much! Can't say that with the MB terlit as Archie Bunker would say. It's not howling anymore, but still doesn't want to flush the first time around even with just one usage of TP- TMI! I know! We had the septic tank pumped out a few months ago and I said to Pete, "Are you sure they got it all???" The front bath works just fine tho, so .

OK, OK, Mitz says, dragging her especially large, lard azz back in here! Have to tell you I am feeling much better, depression-wise and have managed to stay dry for 4 days which has a lot to do with my being on LC. If I drink, I don't LC. So, started induction 3 days ago and lost 8lbs already. I know most of it is probably water, but it sure do look good on the scale! Have not changed my stats as I had crept up to 252.5 and weighed in at 244.5 today; I actually weighed in the middle of the day and was so shocked to see the 244.5 that I got on the digital about 6 times and even moved it all over the place since they have a tendency to fluctuate even if you only move it a few inches, and it stayed exactly the same with every weigh! I will wait until I get below the 241 I have up already before posting another weight in the stats...

So, I see y'all have been pretty busy, especially Stevie; like she isn't always? Glad to hear that Mom is taking your leaving so well. She'll be OK. Like you said, you need to start your life with DA. Ogre was stunned, eh? I would have liked to been a fly on the wall for that one! Good luck with whatever course you decide to take with the amount of notice you give that helpless wittle ogre!

Patt ~ WTG on all the exercise! That's so great that you are advancing on the Elliptical! How is the yoga going? Happy early Birthday! The upscale Chinese sounds great! I love Chinese! Had a lot of that (and Italian!) when I was being bad! If I could be sure of how much cornstarch they put in the chicken chow mein, I would have it on Atkins. After all, it is veggies and protein for the most part; I have no problem skipping the rice! They also sell it "steamed" but charge you 3 bucks more!! For what?? They're omitting the cornstarch! What a rip off! I will miss the Fried Dumplings, tho! Love those!

Cat ~ Eye surgery! Wow! Hope it isn't anything bad! One college down...20 to go! J/K! Hope your FIL is feeling better!!

Rita ~ Hope your FIL is getting better, too! On one of the other threads I post on at least 4 of the ladies had relatives rushed to the hospital all for different things! Strange, eh?

Where's Vi been? Guess she is too busy to stop by much anymore!

Hope that Connie is doing better with her hand and the other issue that had plagued her. Miss seeing her here, too!

Well, I gots ta git! I am sooo tard today for some reason! I got a lot done tho in getting food prepped for the rest of the week. I will talk atcha all tamale!! Ciao!
