Beginning again!

Hi Ladies -

I'm beginning induction again after a long while off the low carb WOE. My blood sugar just drops throughout the day too much when I'm eating higher carbs -- even when they're not white sugar or white flour products.

So... I could use the support of a place where I can post my commitment each day and results. May I join you?

Nancy

hi nancy! how were your first few days???

i think ive been posting to the old thread duh!

i took the day off from work today. its catholic schools week and i had to attend spirit day at the school. the kids play games like relay races, stuff like that white vs blue team...etc. i had a tear in my eye that it was ds/13 last one. i will miss his class. they are a great bunch of kids.

exercise has been good. 5 days this week. im trying to increase my cardio effort. eating is ok - good. if i can get thru tomorrow without an eating issue, i just may have a good weigh in this week

Cleo, that is terrific whats you secret?

I follow Atkins and I exercise as much as possible. Plus, I'm a large girl. I have more to lose, so I'll start out losing quickly!

Not a good week for me. I am back up 5 pounds. Part hormones, part not eating right. I am seeing Orthopedic Dr tomorrow. I foresee surgery in my near future. I am not doing well sitting so I may not be around for a while. I'm trying to hang in though... still not smoking at least!

I'm down three this week. I don't like hormones, Barb. Let's give them to 2big. She's a goalie.

Way to go on not smoking. I'll keep you in my prayers and hope you feel better soon. PLEASE keep me/us posted regarding whether or not you need surgery and how you're doing.

Loner-- way to go! Cardio definitely makes a big difference.

It's ok if we're dwindling. It makes it easier for me to keep track of everyone. LOL

no no hormones for me
Barb sorry about your sitting. move the keyboard so you can stand or even slowly walk on your treadmill as you read and reply. Gives you a great excuse for not spelling things right.

Great job shirking there over superbowl sunday Loner. I think that was the closest I came to cheating during my early Atkins yrs was smelling the doritoes somebody brought to my low carb Superbowl party.

Hey how is everybody doing???
I'm hanging in. I have made a decision. I am OWLing. Completely. I can't deal with this counting carbs anymore either. I'm just going to eat on plan and see what happens. I am really not able to do much besides walking right now either. And that sometimes is out of the question. But I have done better this week eating fruit and using almond meal for breading, etc than trying to just stay strict where I was. Only so much a person can take at a time, ya know?
I'm waiting for my MRI appointment to be approved. It's not looking good for anything besides surgery at this point. I have pretty much exhausted all my options and truthfully, I am hopeful they will just operate and fix me already. It's been 3 years dealing with this crap!
2big. I don't have a laptop so I can't take my keyboard to my treadmill. But DD may be doing something to help me out there. I've had to take a break from my MS Office class and that really makes me But I cannot SIT for very long at all. I tried to get some of the work loaded to my flash drive and work at home but it won't open on my home computer. Sigh. We'll see.
Right now I've got to figure out how to get our insurance paid up for another few months with DH not working.
Anyway... that's what's up here. I'm still hanging in. I'm feeling better food wise this week than last week at least!!
Check in you guys!! Sorry to be a bummer....

hi all! im owling too. it is so much easier to try to lose slowly and eat than the other alternative.

i had a good week of exercise. im taking my stress out on my cardio 5 days this week 5 hours total, im taking the weekend off.

eating is good too, adding more foods at the same time trying to watch the calories. mostly adding veggies and berries. that helps the calorie intake, and im using the spray olivio and garlic to stirfry instead of the butter. just my choice. i like using the spray salad dressing when not using just olive oil or peanut oil on my salads. it helps with portion control with the dressings. just enough to flavor

although i just had a steak for breakfast cause im off to the library and needed to feed i will be there for a few hours. thats the plan anyway.

barb hope all goes well with your surgery if you need it. you will do ok on plan, i keep alot of frozen berries and veggies around. if you are sedentary, try to stick with leaner cuts of meats when you can, fish is good.

have a good day!

How's everybody doing??
Here I am .... again.. starting over. Arrgggg.
I cannot believe how much I am struggling with this. It was 2nd nature for 3 years!!!
Tomorrow is Dr appointment to go over MRI results. I'm kinda nervous. He did give me a shot last time I saw him that is giving me some relief thank goodness. As long as I don't sit for too long.
Still not smoking! Sure have thought about it, but I'm not caving to THAT too!

Anyway.... How is everybody else doing????
I'm off to hit the treadmill.
Check in girlies!!!

I'm down 40 pounds since January 1.

Thank you for the birthday wishes, loner! I appreciate them!

Barbde-- {{{{{Barb}}}} Keep us posted! It is hard. It doesn't matter how much experience we have. It's still tough. Remember the abs... and way to go on hitting the treadmill! I missed the last three days of that and I'm not happy about it.

I hope everyone else is doing well, too!
