well first congrats on shedding 3 pounds.

Now as to the speed of loss according to those DANDR charts with chapter 13 and see but first a few questions.
did you switch to Atkins from another plan or were you a newbie to weight loss when you started? those already dieitng have already shed their glycogen reserves and assoicated fluid loss so they don't get that loss when they start Atkins.

Next did you do a by the book induction or did you play around with those frankenfoods and fudge the carbs?

Did you do the required exercise part of the plan too?
and lastly are you on any meds Dr Atkins has listed as slowing weight loss and did you get the before you staret doctor visit to rule out any medical conditons that could be causing the slow loss.

That said there are many goalies who had difficult times shedding weight in induction. I know one who lost nothing but kept working it and dropped 50 pounds to get to goal weight in less then a yrs time.

Hang in there check your DANDR and be sure you are doing Atkins cause even if you are in that metabolically resistant catagory Dr Atkins says continuing induction will help you heal your resistant metabolism.

happy low carbing.

so make your nonfood rewards for smaller losses like 2 pounds instead of 5.
Set yourself up to be a successful loser meeting goals on the journey to goalie instead of being a frustrated slow loser.

3 pounds is very close to the 5 to 10% you should expect to lose during induction. Keep up the good work, and congrats on those 3 pounds!

Also, I've read several times here about people who really started losing as they worked up the carb ladder, so please don't give up!
