Come on you guys. What are you eating out there on induction???
Here is a "Mock" Fettucini Primavera ala George Stella! ![]() *Note - I used the whole squash and doubled the recipe. Actually added more broccoli and tomato and put this into 2 pie plates and reheated that way. This is sooo good! *Another note - I slice the squash length wise, scoop out the seed. Put face down in a roasting pan and bake for about 30-40 minutes. Til you can poke it with a fork. Then use the fork to scrape it out. 1/2 medium spaghetti squash Primavera Sauce, recipe follows *Cook's Note: This recipe is for half of the squash. You may double the recipe to use all of it, or top the other half of the squash with butter, sour cream, cheese, and bacon to make "mock" baked stuffed potatoes. Slice squash in half lengthwise. Scoop out the seeds with a spoon as you would a pumpkin. Then completely submerge both halves in boiling water and cook for about 20 to 25 minutes, or until the inside is tender to a fork and pulls apart in strands. (It is better to undercook if you are not sure). Remove, drain, and cool with cold water or an ice bath to stop the cooking. Then use a fork to scrape the cooked squash out of its skin, and at the same time, fluff and separate the squash into spaghetti-like strands. Discard the skin. Reheat the squash strands by dipping with a strainer in boiling water just before serving. Top with Primavera Sauce. Primavera Sauce: 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (1/2 stick) 1/2 cup small broccoli florets, lightly blanched 1 cup heavy cream 1 egg yolk 1 clove garlic, crushed 1 1/2 cups freshly grated Parmesan 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley leaves Salt and pepper Fresh basil leaves, for garnish Grape tomatoes, sliced in half, for garnish Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a medium saucepan over medium high-heat. Add broccoli and saute for about 1 minute. Then whisk in cream and egg yolk and cook for only 1 to 2 minutes. Next, add garlic and cheese and whisk quickly just to heat through. Remove from heat and stir in the rest of the butter and the parsley. Pour over or toss with the hot spaghetti squash. Season with salt and pepper, if desired. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and grape tomatoes. LOL! Love the title of this thread....I knew immediately it was food pics, because on another (makeup/beauty) board I visit, members refer to pics of their makeup stashes (collections) and hauls (purchases) as makeup porn! For those not familiar, picture someone you work with or your spouse coming up behind you when you have these pics open on your pc screen...and what they might be thinking...hence the term 'porn'
:blush:and those ribs just made my mouth water for some! Have a roast in the crockpot for tonight, though, but I'll have to get some ribs this weekend for sure! |

I do love the humor in this thread. I do agree it is FOOD PORN. It looks so saucy. It makes me want to try harder to come up with new ideas. Thank You! I need all the kicks I can get these days.

Put just a little oil in a pan, you don't need much. Slice up the cheese and fry it til it's browned on the one side, then flip it and fry the other. ![]() 1 oz has less than 1 carb and 6 grams of protein. This is such a nice snack! You can dip it in salsa or sauce. Slurp! ![]() |

BarbDe, that Queso Blanco looks so good!!
Here is a simple induction level stir-fry dish that I love.. its a bit spicy but you can use less sauce if you want. You'll need: Chicken Breast (I just use the frozen Tyson brand) Fresh broccoli (and any othr veggies you want) Chili Garlic Sauce (look at all the brands, kind I get has 3carb/serving) Thats it! Put in some vegetable or olive oil, then add chicken, cook til chicken is nearly done then add in veggies and keep cover on pan to allow to steam, then add in sauce and stir for a couple minutes and serve.

Girl, who do you think helped inspired me to start cooking? I've been a major fan of BarbDe's for years....
I forgot to add that the gravy in the polish sausage picture is made with ThickNthin/Not starch, so it's totally 'legal' ! The bun recipe is here, with a basic picture tutorial in comic form. link to bun happiness. |

Hey I have to get some of that ThickNThin. I have been hearing good things about it. Doesn't get slimy like Xanthan Gum, right? I'm getting ready to put a Netrition order together. Guess I'll add that to my list. Off to check out Cleo's Buns! ![]() |

Another meal but takes a bit longer to make...
Recipe: Low Carb Wrap Thin cut steak (or Chorizo pork) Sauce: 1/2 Avacado 1 Tomato 1 Clove Garlic 1-2 Jalapeno's (depending on how spicy you like) Cilantro Boil the tomato until the skin peels, then add in tomato with avocado, garlic, jalapeno, and cilantro and blend. Allow to chill in fridge. Grill beef (or Chorizo) and warm tortillas (I use a seperate pan with a bit of vegetable oil then throw on grill so they get a bit crispy) and pull off tortillas when they start to turn brown. Combine everything and enjoy! |
