i made mac and cheese with my dreamfields elbows - it tasted like normal pasta to me - but then i hadnt eaten pasta in so long, id probably forgotten what it really tasted like but it def tasted good in the m&c. would probably be good in like a macaroni salad or pasta type salad. *for maintenance i would say*

Yeah...my Hamburger pie was a bit salty too. Good thing I decided to cut out the extra salt in the recipe.

Wow. I don't think I have ever seen anything that looks like that LOL. I'll have to keep my eyes open.
So, what is the process of getting it from that monstrosity to those lovely looking fries??? Any special hints we should know about? I'm going to be on a mission to find that now LOL.
I love Jicama homefries, but cannot find them anywhere anymore. Looks like that would be a good sub?

Celeriac isn't as juicy/sweet as jicama so I don't really put them in the same category. Well, unless you're talking about the "uhh, that looks weird" category. I've never made jicama into home fries, only chopped up in salads, baked with cinnamon and then also grilled with chili powder and lime juice.

I take a veggie peeler to the whole celeriac (doesn't take very long) then chop in half, chop 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick slices then chop those up into 'fries'. I tossed these in extra virgin olive oil, cumin and pepper then put in a pan lined with aluminum foil. I might have even put some garlic of some sort on it, I can't remember. Knowing me I did. I've got no man man to kiss so BRING ON THE GARLIC!!!

Dinner tonight -

buffalo chicken pizza - I mixed in some blue cheese and Frank's into the crust along with having it on top... YUM!

I use vegetable oil on the pan and put butter on top of the pancakes when eating.

Quote:
Sugarfree Sheila's Pancakes (Induction friendly)
3 oz cream cheese, soften in microwave
2 eggs
1 tsp cinnamon
1 T Davinci Sugar Free Syrup*
Butter

Mix everything throughly, no lumps. Pour batter in a skillet on medium heat.

I wait until the edges are not wet before flipping, this makes the pancakes brown and look like real pancakes.

*I use 1 tsp of Splenda and a splash of vanilla extract.

I use egg rings to make the pancakes perfectly round.
I also make a big batch each week with 8 oz cream cheese and 5 eggs. With the egg rings I can make 12 little pancakes with that recipe and I eat two pancakes for breakfast. Portion control is important LOL
