I finally have the Queso de Blanco...now my issue...what is it going to taste like...will it be similar to mozzarella or have a different cheese texture? I am fearful about eating foods i don't know about. I wish i didnt know anything about pasta and cookies.

Sweets anyone?

Hi guys!!
Im new to this thread and I am SO impressed. Cleo, I did your Oopsie buns tonight and they turned out phenominal. I have cooked and eaten low carb for years and have many creative recipes I intend on sharing after I get thru with induction. I haven't seen many desserts on this thread.. and that's the only thing I was disappointed about because induction is usually when you crave sweets the most. Especially ME, and I DO love my wine and can't drink during induction... so Im craving them even more..Can anyone tell me what they do to get thru this MOST difficult phase without sweets. Hello, Jello just doesn't cut it for me!

There is a Strawberry oopsie cake thread on here somewhere. Strawberry jello added to oopsie batter then frost with cream cheese frosting. just a thought. Its another thread to drool over anyway, kinda like the food porn one.

Sorry no pictures, my phone is having issues...it's not saving to the card ???

But dinner last night was HUGE Prawns seasoned with cajun seasoning, wrapped in bacon and broiled. They were served with a little bit of jalpeno jelly nuked and drizzled over them...AWESOME!!

I'll be making them again soon! Pictures next time I promise!

It was awesome and I realize the jalapeno jelly has carbs but I just put it in a small bowl and heated it up until it was melted and drizzled it over the tops...I ate about 16 of those things in 2 days...I couldn't leave them alone! Tonight I think I'll make the stuffed mini bell peppers again...

I finally found the Queso Blanco cheese. Fried up....just like the pic....and OMGosh...it was wonderful....absolutely wonderful......

I can't wait until I'm patient enough to have some dipping sauce for it....it looked good and smelled good...so I grabbed a fork and voila....the perfect snack.....

I've been having fried SPAM cravings too...and looking at this...that could be the perfect pairing....with a slice of tomato....OMG...

I used the Queso cheese as a dessert.............mixed some cinnamon, splenda with a little butter and put it on top of the cheese and baked. It was delicious.

I meant to use this as my post I was asking about above. I'm just curious about this pizza and what toppings you use.

I used pepperoni, hot Italian sausage, mozz. cheese, tomato or pizza quick sauce (which is very lc but not on the list of allowed items...) sometimes sauteed peppers, mushrooms and/or onions. The portabellas are smaller once they cook so they do not hold a lot.

I made a strange pizza tonight, but it was good. I used ground sausage as a base. I mixed the sausage with almond flour, ground flax seed, onion, and cheddar cheese. I cooked it and then added pizza sauce, mushrooms, pepperoni and mozzarella cheese. I put it back in the oven to brown the toppings. It was very filling and yummy.

I'd take a picture, but I can't find my camera cord to upload the pic.
