Ya i got mine where the cream cheese is too, I cut mine in half cause its pretty thick. I need a recipe for low carb syrup if thats induction friendly cause you could totally eat them like pancakes.

Look back at posts #3 and #21 in this thread.
Queso Blanco is a Mexican Cheese, good for frying. The outside gets nice and crispy and the inside gets all melted and yummy!!!!

Queso Blanco?

Do you fry the Queso Blanco like you would a pancake? Could you use it as a bun? I am going to the store to look for it.

Thanks.

hmm.. I don't know about a bun, I think it would be too sweet, but hey you can try it if it works let me know. Yep just fry it like a pancake.

Queso blanco

Store had queso fresco not blanco. Think it's same thing. Is it? Fried it up and tasted pretty good. Had a bready taste to it. How thick should slices be?

Really its up to you how thick you want it but if its too thick the cheese in the middle will be extremely sweet. ya fresco and blanco is the same thing I think it just means white cheese, but im not sure.

It really was great cheese. Glad I came to the site because I had never heard of the stuff. My kids were eating it and asked if they could put it on their cheeseburgers.

We had cheeseburgers tonight............the kids had buns..........we just had patties (topped with the Queso Fresco, yummmm, and green beans on the side)

Dessert was a metamucil protein shake (hopefully the cheese won't clog up the pipes). I'm not hungry and it is time for bed.

Have a great night and thanks for all of the help on the cheese. I'm going to get addicted to it.

Looks great Lori.
Just want to note though, so as not to confuse newbies.
Cottage cheese is not an acceptable induction food.

I've seen Queso blanco (white cheese), queso fresco (Fresh cheese) and Queso De Frier (Frying cheese). They have all worked.
Do be careful of overdoing though. Definite "binding" issues can happen
