OMG OMG OMG

I can't believe how good everything looks and sounds and oh geez Cleo, I want to move in, I'm a little old, but hey, how about adopt a young grandma. I was reading this before I went to the store. Lobster was on sale and they steam it for you, so that's what I bought, but I also got some cream cheese, asiago cheese, couldn't find the queso blanco, but I will and cannot wait to fry it up. I had no idea that all of this was possible on Induction. Absolutely amazing.

Now I don't have to just eat meat and more meat. I am fighting to move below 210, but I am going to make it, was down to 209 yesterday, but drank 1 liter of diet soda and today 211 again. Shucks...I keep trying tho.

Thanks for all the great recipes and ideas about how to eat stuff that will keep me busy for a while.

Thanks to all, After all, I love food, so Atkins is the only way for me.

Lisa

Are Radishes induction friendly? I scored a bunch of huge radishes at krogers today. When sliced the slices were the size of a half dollar...

My picky teen son who hates veggies of any kind ate them with ranch like chips and dip...

I sliced some cheese and used the radishes as crackers.

I have eat them all the time along with other raw veggies. I have tried one recipe where they were cooked some how and didn't like them that way. Here is a link with info. I invested in a small nutrtional info book by Calorie King and it is a quick way to look up carb counts among other nutrients.

Radish

I have some Hugmongo Radishes too. I ate some yesterday w/salami. Like mini tacos. Slice a radish then in halves and insert in a slice of salami.
Yummo...on the last Pix!

My grandmother introduced me to radish sandwiches when I was a kid: a slice of white bread buttered with slices of radish sprinkled with salt and pepper, yummy. Now, I need to try it with something other than white bread LOL. I wonder if low carb tortillas would have the same effect? Maybe oopsies???

On the contrary, the results of her mistake were astounding - softer, more moist, supple, and bread-like than you get from the Revolution Roll recipe.

Some people prefer the original Revolution Roll recipe though - everyone's different.
THANK YOU for this explanation!! I could never figure out the whole "oopsie" thing since I know at least some of the old timers have used cream cheese before (I mean old like before LCF, before internet, before life as we know it today even existed.) I see now that the difference is the amount she used. Her oops was in measuring the cream cheese!! I can't tell you how good it is to finally understand this mystery! Thank you so much for clearing this up for me.

I still prefer mine with Mayo as it's induction friendly and has no dairy. If I could handle the cottage/ricotta/cream cheese I surely would but I stall out like a mofo on that stuff.

I remember first discovering the recipe suggestions board where they love to taunt and tease with the most amazing photos of the most amazing food. I seem to recall packing on a good 5 pounds that month. Honestly, there are some geniuses here on this board. Evil geniuses but simply amazing. The things they can do with food...they are like like LC MacGyver!

My mom the skinny minnie who used to question every bite I ate is becoming a fan of lc foods but she has to have all the veggies and fruit too! She was really bummed when my grocery store was out of the mini bellpeppers. She refused to try an Anaheim (said the bells were prettier)

I need some more recipes to try with her so get cookin' ladies!

I have a great cinnamon toast-like recipe.
I know this isnt the healthiest snack, but it is still induction friendly.

Take a few pork rinds, butter them and stick them in the microwave until the butter is melted(optional). Then, pour some sugar free hazelnut cream onto them until soaked. Pour as much cinnamon on as you please, and eat!

They remind me of the cereal cinnamon toast crunch and they are great for when you are feeling weak and want to give up. It feels like your cheating, but your not!!

I am drooling!
About those low carb wraps, could I eat them say, 3 times a week and still lose? So far I am afraid to get away from my meat, eggs, veges, and cheese. Also, I looked for the coconut flour for the woopsie rolls, where can it be found? I am not exactly craving bread, but a sandwich would be nice occasionally.

Bob's Mill makes coconut flour and I found it either at a larger grocery store or my health food store I frequent. As you can see, it can be purchased online at Netrition too.

Ok, the steak and broccoli came from Chilies. I made the stuffed jalapenos and mushrooms. All it is, is cream cheese and I diced up half of the mushroom stems and put them in the cream cheese. Then I diced up the bacon and put on top and baked at 350 until the bacon was crispy.

Ok, this was supper for tonight. Fried chicken -the coating was 2 eggs mixed with seasoning, whatever seasoning you like. It made an awesome crust and steamed squash. This is my mom in the picture she is on low cal but wishes she could do low carb now.
