Ok, they're not fancy dishes but here are some of my Induction favourites:

Steak bathed in onions with side of shrimp sauteed in butter sauce

The good ole standby - garlic-seasoned ground beef patties with ranch dressing and a side of wax beans

Eggs, sausage and bacon with oopsie pancakes and sugar-free pancake syrup

Mock danish and homemade whipped cream sprinkled with cinnamon

Thank You for Hope

I want to thank all of you for this thread. This is my first diet in my life and really worried about how to keep on it. I do have support from my husband and children and they are willing to eat whatever I make (so they say now) This thread will make it easier for all of us. Thank you and that fried cheese looks so good. Going to buy some on my way home today.

I ended up using 1/2 bag of spinach instead of the whole bag (which turned out to be plenty). DH needs some for a veggie pizza he's going to prolly make tonight.
And...I used fresh mushrooms instead of canned. We have lots for DH's pizza.

Trechi - yes, when you move them into folder it changes their URL and any old links to them will not connect. Glad you figured it out!

Spiced shrimp salad w/egg & Caesar dressing

Hi everyone!

This has become a staple of my induction menu. Hopefully this picture shows up well. I used my camera phone instead of my digital camera. I just buy the bagged salad from the grocery store, slice a hard boiled egg and sprinkle steamed shrimp seasoned with Old Bay. Top it off with Newman's own creamy caesar (1g) and it is delicious!

Here it is..

Anyone ever try Grilled Romaine Salad Recipe : Recipezaar?

I grilled some up on my grilling pan last night. With some recipe changes...and, it was surprisingly Delish!
I used Balsamic vinegar, added Dijon, and bacon instead of pecans and topped w/parmesan.
I took a pic...but, after I had already started to eat it.

From my research it seems the best route is to use a food processor with raw cauliflower and put it through the grater blade.

All you experts, am I correct on this one?

I can't imagine having any trouble at all getting cooked cauliflower through a ricer. I've "riced" raw cauliflower before, but only in a food processor.

I luv those Quiche recipes! I make them lots for my Brekkers. And they freeze well too.

I grilled up some more Romaine last night. I'm really liking it.
Added peanuts and sesame seeds to them. No bacon for DH. He's on a low cholesterol/fat diet.

You can get it at the supermarket in the spice isle. McCormick's is the brand I use.

Hey guys ... been lurking and drooling over all the pics
I wanted to share something I saw and tried from another thread on here. Radishes can actually be boiled in a little salted water - until tender and they taste really similar to "new potatoes" you can also use a beef broth. I tried it with water and a little salt...they loose most of the red outside and your water turns out pink, but drain and eat.
They were outrageous good. I imagine you could do the "faked baked potato" w/cheese, butter bacon - or the mashed potato - radish salad , like pot.salad.
Many of the things you do with cauliflower , but radishes are actually even lower in carbs than cauliflower.
Give it a try!

Can you give more specific instructions on how to do the radishes? It sounds easier than cauliflower.

Fennel is a herb and you can find in the spice aisle at the grocery store.

all I did was buy some fresh radishes, wash them - trim the tops off and cut in half because they were pretty big. Put in a little water with a little salt and boil. About 20 mins or until fork tender. Drain, then you can add butter or whatever you would like. A little cheese or bacon bits , sour cream. I should have took a pic but I gobbled them up to quick. I was just trying it for the first time. I have only ate them raw in salads before. Boiling them does change the taste very mild. They would be good to boil and then fry like potatoes also. I found a new love and I will be headed out today to get more!
