Restarting today after beinning with MT6WBM
Hi everyone,
I was here in May, but fell off the proverbial wagon. I recently purchased the Michael Thurmond 6 Week Body Makeover, and I have now been on it for 3 weeks. I lost 11 pounds even with the tasteless, fatfree foods. But last night, I feel I had an epiphany (sp). Why can't I combine the logic of the MT6WBM with Atkin's. Here is my approach. I am going to split my veggies up into four exact servings, and eat them along with my protein and fat for four of six mini meals. I will have fat/protein for breakfast and my last snack of the day. The four meals between those two, I am going to have my protein/fat with my veggies evenly portioned out. I am kinda excited about this! Part of the MT6WBM is to greatly reduce the intake of sodium, and now that I am accustom to reduced sodium, I can carry that over into my Induction phase. Previously when I did Atkin's, I didn't watch my salt intake. Now I am aware of it, and of how much I have always had in the foods I have eaten--even since I was a child! After looking at my food (diet), I am just amazed at it! Now that I am accustomed to bringing my snacks/meals to work, it will be easy to carry that knowledge over to Induction, and pack it all with me. I am really excited to be back here. I have also been journaling my food intake for the last three weeks, and it has helped alot. I always thought that journaling my food would be a pain the arse, but it has actually been great! I also plan my meals/snacks, and prepare in advance so I am not caught off guard with NOTHING to eat. I know that is also part of the Atkin's plan, but somehow it went by the wayside when I read the book. ![]() Anywho, my next mini goal is to get below 200 lbs!

Could you post a typical days' menu. I've heard about this plan and always wondered what it was. I've been struggling to find something to jumpstart me back on track so I guess I'm window shopping.
TIA, |

I would eat for breakfast 2 oz of an A or B protein and 1/2 cup of an A fruit or a 1/4 cup of a B fruit. My morning snack was the same. My lunch was 2 oz of A or B protein, 1/2 cup of an A or B carb, and 1 cup of veggies. My afternoon snack was 2 oz of A or B protein, and 1/2 cup A or B carb. My dinner was same as lunch but with 1 to 2 cups of veggies. My last meal/snack was 1/2 cup of an A fruit or 1/4 cup of a B fruit. NO SALT added to anything. I had the worst headache too from the salt withdrawal! I now use a little bit of salt, and it is sea salt--not regular table salt. I am now using some of the 6WBM info to figure out my serving "sizes" so that I can eat 6 mini meals a day at specific times. It works very well with me. ![]() |

good for you. make play time with the kids your cardio too a good game of tag or even just a family walk will do wonders for you and them
. put on your favorite music and have a dance with them too. If they are small enough you can use them for your weight training too. squats holding a little one, over the head lifts, flying them on your feet, etc., all give the same workout as lifting at the gym does and more fun too. |
