I am back.
I have been gone for a longggg time. I have regained all of my weight, and I lost a bundle before. I always said, I would never gain it back, but I did. I remember when I threw out all of my fat clothing, I was sooo happy. Then, I started gaining. I eventually just gave in to my food addiction. I got rid of all my small clothing and just wore raggy old big stretchy clothing again.
Finally, I saw a show the other night about people 300+ pounds. It was so sad. These people so badly wanted to be small, but their addictions kept them from doing so. I knew that is where I was headed. Only a few pounds shy of the woman on the show, I knew I had to do something. I got down and asked God to help me, I just can't do it on my own. I have a severe addiction to food. Food rules my life. I admitted my problem. I got honest. I am not happy with how I look and feel. It was a big awakening for me. Anyway, it has only been 4 days since I started, but I feel this re-newed strength. I am glad this board is still available. I know I will be here often. It feels good to be back. Kristin

Hi Kristin, welcome back. It's great to hear you're finding the strength to give this another go!. I know where you are coming from, lost it, got cocky, gained it back, working at it again, but boy oh boy is it slow this time.
Hope you have BIG success! |

Welcome back! As someone who's new to the site but not new to Atkins, I'm with you on the loss/gain - I lost 30 and gained 50, and now I'm mad because I'm 20lbs in the hole! I try to keep that in mind, and remember how awesome it felt to get slimmer (and receive compliments). I once vowed once I got under 250 lbs, never to have to "move the big block" on the scale back to 250...so here we go again!

back. I will say that humbling myself before God was the most important thing I ever did regarding this way of eating. We serve a powerful God. With that being said, we have to use the knowledge and work the plan ourselves. Draw your strength from HIM. |
