Gave In

I gave in today to taco bell! I had an zesty nacho and soft taco with fruit juice. I was so hungry and wanted so bad and my son kept begging for tacos. I did good early this morning I had bacon and eggs the usually then I gave in. I had checked the scales also and have gone from 202.8 since last wednesday too 198.5. I feel so bad and easter is tomorrow famil dinner what do I do?

You can't undo Taco Bell, but you can move on and make the right choices now.

Make the next bite you eat 100% on plan.

What's done is done.

You need to plan better for next time... while Taco Bell isn't the best choice, you can "make do".

What your son wanted had nothing to do with what YOU wanted!

You need to make sure you carry snacks with you so that you don't get hungry.

I never go anywhere without a bag of almonds.

Even on Induction, almonds would have been a better choice that fruit juice (aka "sugar water").

Does that mean you're probably going to eat off-plan again? It can be a bit of work, but holidays don't have to be synonymous with cheating. My only advice is to make the best choices you can, and be willing to own them afterwards.

don't be so hard on yourself.... That will make you prone to over eat/eat the wrong stuff even more.

Well! There's no use crying over eaten carbs!

Start over today and stick to what you know you can eat!

Whenever I accidentally fall off the Atkins wagon I get a really upset tummy and feel very sluggish ~ I remember that icky feeling each time I think about cheating!

Just get back on!! We have a taco bell right beside a Wendys. The other day my 2 DD's wanted Taco Bell, then i drove over to Wendy's and ordered to Jr cheeseburger deluxes, and ate them without the bun. Nothing at Taco Bell is LC friendly at all.

Get back on, you can do it!! Forget about it and start over again!

Wouldn't a taco salad-no beans-no shell-be fine? I would think so. I am not a taco bell fan, but I think it would work.

I know the feeling. I pass T.B. several times a day. Normally it doesn't bother me but I CRAVED it last night. NO WORRIES!!!

I made homemade taco shells by frying cheese until crisp and draping it over a bowl. Seasoned up some burger with homemade taco seasoning. Added shredded lettuce, some 1g carb salsa and 0g carb Recaito (found in the ethnic eisle) and topped it all with a T of sour cream. Hit The Spot!!!

When I am overcome with cravings for a certain type of food, the first thing I do it come out here to the recipe room and, 99% of the time, find a low carb version of the meal I want.
