Only .5 pound from weekly goal!!!

Good afternoon to my fellow low carbers. I weigh tomorrow and the scales better say 160. That will be a 6.5 pound loss for one week. I re-started Atkins on 1.17.07. I didn't keep a scale the first go round when I lost 70 pounds I just knew I was losing. What is the average weight loss after induction. Although I plan to continue induction till I reach 140. Thanks in advance.

I have only been below 160 one other time (at 158) then back to the 160's. Just can't seem to get below that. But I WILL THIS TIME.

Women lose at a statiscal rate of 1/2 to 1 pound per week.

If 140 is your goal weight, you should NOT do Induction all the way to goal.

You need to do ALL the phases of Atkins... and you need OWL to learn what foods work for you body.

Many people who lose all their weight on Induction end up gaining it all back because they don't know how to maintain the loss... and that's the real goal.

Do you really want to do this again?

Please do Atkins the way the plan is written!

I actually lost 60 pounds in a year. The maintained and even lost the last 10 with watching calories and carbs the following year. Adding fruit. I have kept it off. If I can get down to my goal weight I know I can maintain with diet and exercise.

But I am happy with a 1 pound a week loss just as long as it is a loss.

Thanks for the comments.

I think the loss completely depends on the person. People who have more to lose, may drop more pounds in induction. Good luck with your weight loss!

I agree, the loss depends on the person. And I also agree that you need to go through all the phases. I stayed on induction and lost 40 lbs the first time I did Atkins and then just went back to my old ways like a dummy and gained back 50 lbs. I am following the book this time and am going to go through the phases so I can lose and KEEP it off. Good luck to you!! You are doing great so far.
