If you're just starting then stick to basic whole foods. For example:

B: 3 eggs scrambled with cheese
L: ceasar salad with grilled chicken
D: hamburger w/o the bun and a veggie

S: slice of cheese or hard boiled egg or brocolli dipped in ranch

Stats: 305 / 206 / 170
WOE: WLS & EFGT
breakfast: usually, protein shake, 2 scoops Fuzzy Navel Nectar mixed with diet Oceanspray orange flavor and benefiber.

lunch: shrimp or chicken breast or some other protein on large bed of salad greens, with Newman's Own Family Recipe Italian dressing.

dinner: 3-4 oz protein with green vegetable, butter

snack: 2 cups Calorie Countdown 2% milk (1 cup each, 2 x per day)

I just made my first batch of revolution rolls (see thread on the Atkins 72 forum) last night. I had two of them for breakfast this morning, warmed up, with butter on them. They were kinda like pancakes. I'm trying them as a sandwich with some chicken for lunch today instead of the salad. I probably should eat the salad, anyway.

I drink lots of water, one bottle caffeine-free Diet Coke daily, occasional crystal light.

Hi! I'm on Induction---day 7. I agree with ASmallerME---stick to whole, non-processed foods. I usually just drink plain old water becasue I've found that those Crystal Light packets cause me to crave sweets. I think it's the aspartame that does it. A sample menu for me would be:

Breakfast: 2 eggs and 2 pieces of turkey bacon (turkey bacon is processed, so limit the amount)
Lunch: Grilled chicken salad with olive oil and vinegar or the previous night's leftovers
Dinner: Some sort of meat (chicken, beef, pork or fish) with a vegetable and/or salad.
I'm not usually too hungry for snacks, but when I am, I'll have string cheese, tomatoes and cucumbers in vinegar with salt and pepper, or a small can of tuna. Dinners don't have to be boring. Just check out the recipie page and use your imagination. For instance, the other night I was in teh mood for mexican so I browned some ground meat with taco seasoning, then put it into a baking dish, covered it with grated chedder and baked it just long enough to melt the cheese. Then, I took it out and spread homeade guacamole and a little sour cream and just had a little bowl of it. If you want veggies with that, you could add shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes. Good luck with Induction. YOU CAN DO IT!
