Avatar pics

OK...I'm not up on how to do these avatar pics. Are there instructions anywhere around here? I'm not a real computer whiz, but I do have a scanner if that's what's needed. As more of you post pics, I feel funny just having a non-smoking sign! Not very personal! Any help appreciated!

Patt - Go to your user control panel and there should be an avatar button on the left hand side, I think...it's been so long I cannot remember! lol You will have to upload one from your computer but it must be small graphics I think so you might have to edit your photo first. I had to shrink mine down. If i get a sec...I'll check into it in more depth and post it.

Hi Patt!

Since I went in to change my signature I checked on editing the avatars for you, this is what you need to do to change it....

Click on your User Control Panel (top left of this page)
Click on Edit Avatar (to the left)
Scroll down the page a bit until you see Use Custom Avatar and check this option

Now here is the tricky part...you can use a picture you have stored online or one that is stored on your computer. Figure out which one you want to use and then follow the directions below....

For online pics: Just type in the address to the pic (ie: http://yourimagehost.com/nameofpic.jpg)

For images on your computer: Click the Browse button and navigate to the folder where the pic is located. Click on the pic and an address will appear in the box. Click Upload to load the pic onto the site.

Note: Make sure the image is 150 X 150 otherwise it will be distorted and look real funny. If you need your image re-sized just let me know and I'll fix it for you.

Once that is done....scroll down a bit and click Save Changes and your Avatar should be loaded into the system. To check it out just go to a previous post of yours and see if it is there now.
