Daily Limits on Cheese & Cream....please remind me!
Hi everyone,
I am actually out of town this week for work and I realized I grabbed the OLD Atkins book by mistake! Oops....no limits listed here. Can someone please remind me of the limits on cheese, butter, cream, etc.? I am trying to eat as cleanly as possible this week, which is not easy since I'm in Los Angeles and the food is AMAZING out here! Thanks all! |

From the book, pgs. 125 - 129.
You can have butter and I didn't see any limits on the amount. Cheese "You can consume three to four ounces daily of the following full-fat, firm, soft, and semi-soft aged cheeses, including: cheddar cow, sheep and goat cheese cream cheese Gouda mozzarella Roquefort and other blue cheeses Swiss" Sour Cream is listed under "Special Category Foods" "To add variety, each day you can also eat ten to twenty olives, half a small avocado, one ounce of sour cream or three ounces of unsweetened heavy cream . . . .But be aware that these foods occasionally slow down weight loss in some people, and may need to be avoided in the first two weeks. If you seem to be losing slowly, moderate your intake of these foods." Please note the word "or" . . . that means you can only have one of these choices daily.
