Amy and Neener: You're right!! Unless you "raise it" or "grow it", there's not too many things we can trust anymore. Even 0 carb fresh meat....... we don't know how much any animal has been needled with hormones, steriods, over use of antibiotics etc, etc. Scary!!

Bonny - Yay - 80 lbs. gone - congratulations!

Bmac - hope you win the money. You did very well on the challenge, congratulations to you!

Colleen - have fun shopping.

Nothing new with me, holding 143-144, up and down but it's ok, may take a week or two before I see 142. This weight's been with me a long time and it doesn't want to leave even with me standing here saying "go away, go away!"

Have a great day fellow warriors!

Bonnie- yay great job on the 80 lb. loss! What an inspiration

Bmac- GL on winning the challenge you did. I don't see how you can't win.

Angaa- welcome to the group! Looking at your menu I say cut out cheese for a while and stick to plain water. I know cheese makes me stall so I cut it out for almost two weeks now and have begun to lose again.

Well I finally hit 159.2 this morning! Feels so good to out of the 160's. Everyday the scale goes down it is a victory!

Hi everyone!

I have tomorrow off so IT'S MY FRIDAY! the boyfriend and I are heading up to VT tomorrow morning and spending 3 days in Burlington. I'm so excited!

Bmac - fingers crossed for the challenge! It sounds like you're impossible to beat!

Bonny - Congrats on being 80 pounds down! You should definitely post a before and after!

Skinny - Congrats on the loss!!

I'm down another pound this morning. I guess it's going to be slow going for me as I don't have a large amount of weight to lose. That's ok, it will come off in time. It's just nice to see a new (lower!) number on the scale. I'm actually taking my home scale with me to VT so that I can weigh myself while we're away. I think it will help me stay on track better. I'm sure my boyfriend will think I'm nuts! Oh well!

Hope everyone is having a great day!

I walked my dogs today about about mile, took us 20ish minutes. I'm not sure my ole girl tolerated it so well. She really slowed down at the end and now she just looks exhausted. She is 11, medium size dog so that's not really old for her size. I feel so awful, I can't leave her home she'll be so upset. And my crazy 9 year old labrador doesn't like to just stroll leisurely he still thinks he's 2 years old. I have to figure something out for her. Poor thing, I hate that they are getting older. Well..I hate that she is getting older he doesn't act any older LOL.

Trying to get my team together for the challenge at work, we have to have 5. I will be a total control freak with that much cash on the line. I will be snatching carbs our of their mouths if I see it LOL

Eve - good job on the pound, have a great trip!

Skinny - WTG congrats!

Oh my, do I know that about labs!! I figure their "puppy" lasts about 10 yrs on average! Then out of nowhere they get old. My poor old girl (12 next week) she can't go for walks anymore either so Mommy doesn't go either. We just toss the ball for a few minutes each day and we'll be doing that her last day, I'm sure.

Neener- glad you got out for a walk today. I know I think it's harder for us to see our pups get old and they are just happy as can be. Haha you gave me a good laugh with the visual of you snatching carbs from co workers.

Bonny Jean -- amazing!! I had never seen your before pic so really couldn't comprehend what 80 lbs lost looked like. You look like the you now could be the daughter of your before pic!! You are such an inspiration to me and seeing these pics motivates me to keep moving towards my goal. Thank you for sharing and I hope to see more of you after you reach your final goal!

Today is the last leg of our journey home. I will be so glad to get home tonight, sleep in my own bed, and weigh on my own scale!! I look forward to catching up on posts and getting back into the swing of posting daily.

Have a good on plan day!

You ladies are very kind. I think I should stay off the computer as I was mortified when I saw the size of those pics. I thought I shrunk them to 20x30 pixels so how they're so huge is beyond me?? Ugh, like that "before" wasn't scary enough in a smaller version!!!

You will all see how wonderful it feels to get to a "normal" weight again and you will love yourself for enduring all the work, effort and frustration it entails. I wish you all success and much happiness with your new woe and the new you that's closer than you think.

Much love my little Warriors!!

LOL!!! Your pictures are quite large Bonny-Jean!!! But you have come so far and really look great! You must be so proud of yourself!!!! Now that you are on your last leg of the journey, are you planning on introducing some new foods? If so, what will you be adding? I know Dr. Atkins suggests cottage cheese...is this something you are planning to do?

Good morning!

Bonny - Amazing pictures! You look like a new person!

My scale and I are headed up to Vermont shortly, but I just wanted to check in and tell you all to have a great weekend!

I'm down another .5 today, yay! Hopefully, that will keep me motivated this weekend! We went to the fair last night with the kids and I wanted a fried dough sooooooo badly! I didn't cave though! It was tough! Fried dough is so yummy. There was a stand that had fried Twinkies and fried Oreo cookies. Do people seriously eat that? Yuck!

I needed this today thank you! My scale sucks today. I'm up 3 pounds... I'm not sure if it took this long for the regular Mt Dew and whatever hidden carbs I ate for 3 days eating in restaurants to show but I sure am irritated by it. I was so careful what I ordered but you still never really know. Funny thing is I actually felt lighter this AM and expected a good weigh in..but that is not what I got.

I can't see the pics?

Paulette: OMG. Honey Boo-Boo's mom has a sister!!!!!!!!!!!

Huge is an understatement!!
I was like "holy heck" when I saw that. Nothing I can do about now. Anyway, I think my first indulgence into maintenance might be 5 carbs a day of berries and see what happens after a week. Berries are the lowest carb fruit I can think of. I've never been a veggie eater and only like a little cottage cheese on a salad so no loss there. I feel maintenance is gonna be a longer and much slower process than Induction of course and it's certainly gonna be trial and error and I'm hoping not too much frustration.

I may try those Oopsie or Rev Rolls just to have something less slippery than lettuce to hold my burgers together but right now no big plans for maintenance. I'm pretty sure for quite some time I will be very close to Induction and might go crazy and up my carbs to 15-20!! OMG, that sounds scary!!

I personally don't think most things show up the next day and that's why some feel when they ate off plan it was okay cause the next morning the scale was even or down. Not so!! Sometimes it takes a day to show so I'm not surprised. Mind you 1 reg soda shouldn't show 3 lbs for sugar or sodium. Anything else maybe you didn't know about?? No worries cause the glorious thing about this woe is when you get back on track for a few days you should see an improvement. Hence the repeated montra to "stay on plan." Be patient, watch your carbs and you'll be fine.
Patience is a blessing to have with this.

Neener - I'm so sorry that you had a bad weigh in. I know how it feels! I was up 2.5 on Tuesday morning and I was very upset. Just stay strictly on plan today and drink tons of water. That's what I did and it was gone the next day!

Paulette - I don't think the salad was me??

Bonnie- you look amazing! What a difference weight can make. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Eve- have a good weekend too and stick to plan and I'm sure you'll show a loss when you get home.

Kimber- have a safe trip home.

Bmac- any loss is good!

Neener- sorry about the scale that really is terrible. Hopefully when all the sugar is out of your system your body will continue in ketosis and the scale will move downward.

Today the scale moved down for me 158.9! Good way to start my Friday

Well thanks Colleen. I'm not sure there'll be much of a noticeable difference but come to think if it now, the last 15-20 actually seem to be a little bit more noticeable than the first 30-40, well I'm basing that on 100 + overweight like myself. Thank you again for that.

btw: I just had some bbq'd baby back ribs (4). What are short ribs? Is that beef? How are you doing them?

I made it home safe and sound!

Colleen -- Thank you! I actually ate lobster every other night, had steak twice and the other nights had some haddock. All so very yummy AND lost 6 pounds while eating it!

Bonny Jean - OMG those pics are HUGE!! When I viewed them on my phone they were actually a good size but on the computer screen?! You were even a cutie pie in your heavier pic! So glad you posted them for a good before and after comparison. Congratulations on the 80lbs gone FOREVER!!!

Skinny - Congrats on the lost weight! I know that always puts me in a really good mood too!

Neener - Don't let your 3lb gain upset and derail you. Just keep on the ways of the Hardcore Lowcarb Warriors and you will drop that in no time!!

Eve - Congrats on the 1/2lb! I live in the south and at the fairs here they serve deep fried mac'n'cheese!!

Bmac - so happy you got your scale back and that you are solidly in the 18's! I can't wait to weigh in on my scale tomorrow! I am SO hoping for 240's!!

Tweaker - you will get that scale to move one way or another being a warrior and all Glad to see that you don't let the slower losses get you down.

Paulette - Congratulations on the less than 100lbs until goal! I can't wait to get there myself.

MG - Hope you had a great time on vacation. I look forward to your regular posting when you get home.

So glad to be home. Now off to start the process of unpacking.
