Everything tastes really sweet to me anymore. I've checked and doubled checked since I had that sweet tea by accident. I just thought it was me be over carb crazy again and didn't give it a second thought. I am STILL mad about it, one thing when you go off program knowingly but to just make that stupid of a mistake is killing me. Hopefully I lose the 2 pounds quickly. I am super strict now, by that I mean no restaurants, for the next few weeks. And I'm making my own ice tea and bringing it to work...no more errors like that. This probably pushed me back a week.

Paullette - hope your tooth feels better!

Well, stay on plan and it'll come off. Hey Neener, it was an accident. This whole journey was and will be filled with "lessons learned." It's a whole new way of eating for many and accidents happen but don't beat yourself up about it. The worst thing is you might take a couple of extra days now to show a loss but it'll happen.

Hello Everyone!

I hope you're all having a great afternoon!

Paulette: Hope you're mouth feels better soon.

bmac: good luck tonight! Sounds like you got this challenge!

MG: Happy to see your post - enjoy your vacation and visit with the kids. We look forward to your return!

Tweaker: Congrats on sending your son off to college and not getting too emotional in front of him! Now you can focus on yourself and be a happy, healthy MOM!

Okay..so, I'm slightly obsessed....I woke up at 3 in the morning last night to nurse the baby and while I was sitting there, I got it in my head that I should try on some pants (actually 3 pair) that I had bought a few years ago at Old Navy when they were on sale, that have been sitting in my closet with tags still on them! They are all nicely hung next to each other just waiting to fit! Well, after my nice loss this week, I was feeling particularly "light" ..so, off went my pj's and on went the pants...ALL THREE PAIR! I am so excited because now I have three great pair of pants to start out the school year/Fall!

Bonny...I could still lend you some booty, though! LOL That's always the last to go for me!

Happy day everyone! Will check in after football practice tonight!

Keep up the great work!

Colleen

Hey sweetie, be careful what you wish for!!!

For some reason at my fattest I looked like an apple, no more like a pumpkin but I'm losing in a triangle shape. So far I've lost the most on my hips. In order it's like: -8 -10 -12. Go figure.

Neener- that is good that you held it together for your son. That stinks about the soda though. I hate when they cchange the labels in the sodas.

Colleen- thanks! Your baby girl is too cute! You look great too.

Bonnie- so close those .8 need to he banished so you can celebrate. We are all waiting to do a happy dance for you.

Paulette- I hate dental work it sounds so painful. Glad it is over and you can recover now. Hope you feel better soon so you can enjoy your bacon.

Sparkling lemon arrowhead water

Hi everyone,
Long time lurker here. Love reading your posts and how supportive you all are towards each other. I do Atkins 72. The first 4weeks I lost 17 pounds. But I have been stalled at 203.3 for 2 weeks. This is unlink me to stall at such a high weight. I eat pork, meat, eggs, chicken, cheese. Lettuce a couple times a week, a few leaves. No artificial sweeteners, no soda, very little processed food if any. But I do drink lemon flavored sparkling water. I looked online and it says 0 carbs. But as we know labels can be deceiving. Does anyone know if the lemon natural flavored in the water has carbs? I drink a lot a day. Probably half a gallon or more, serving size is 8 oz. I also walk about 5 miles a day at a fast pace.
Menu
B- 3 spare ribs with spice rub or 4 egg chicken cheese omelet (biggest meal)
Steak with parmasean and eggs
L- cheeseburger or ribeye
D- not very hungry usually steak, chicken with melted cheddar on it.
I drink about a gallon of water. Half gallon being the lemon sparkling.
Any one know about the water? Or why I may be stalling? I'm not freaking out but I am getting curious.
Thank you and have a great day

Neener - So sorry about the Mtn. Dew - that sucks!

Paulette - I hate dental work of any kind, even cleanings!

Colleen - it was Neener who sent her son off to college, mine's long out of college, but I'll say thanks for her! Hope that's ok Neener

Neener: I'm sorry, I mistakenly addressed my previous post to Tweaker when it was meant for you. Glad the college drop off went well. I hope your son has a successful year! How often will he be able to come home or you visit?

Tweaker: sorry about that!

Angaa, welcome!! Lemon has carbs. I'm not sure about the water you are drinking, but for sure real lemon does. Also, how much total cheese are you having per day? Max is suppose to be 4oz

No. I've been at this since 5pm. Removed it a dozen times and it just keeps coming back. I'm gonna cry!! I went in thru the "fox" and I've deleted so many files and cookies and files, etc, etc. Then I read deleting cookies brings ads in. OMG, I'm so exhausted from this. An IT at work said the same thing happened to his wife and suggested I save files and stuff, wipe my hard drive clean and re-install my software and operating systems. I don't even know if I still have the install cd's??? Oh, this has me whipped but I thank you SO MUCH for trying to help me. I very much appreciated your efforts. Tks again.

Hi BMAC,
Thank you for the reply. The water I'm drinking is arrowhead sparkling lemon water. There is only 3 Ingredients: mountain spring water (lol), C02, natural flavors. I'm not really sure about the natural flavors part. Does anyone else drink this? All the nutrition info says 0 for everything. This is silly but about how much would 4 oz of cheese be if u hold it in your hand.

Since you use Chrome, this may not help, but on Mozilla I have addons called "noscript" and "flashblock". The browser has to ask permission (via a tool bar pop up at the bottom of the screen)and it can either block it, open it temporarily or open it permanently for individual sites/pages.
It's dramatically cut down on ad-ware and spy-ware on my computer.
I still run spybot once a week just to make sure!

Angaa, if you are using shredded cheese, approx. one ounce is about the amount you can fit in the palm of your hand, not heaping. If it is a block of cheese it is about a 1 1/4" by 1 1/4" cube. I would be leery about the water. I would think the natural flavours are from the actual lemon and that definitely has carbs in it. If it is less than 1 gram of carb per serving size then they don't have to put it on the label, so there still could be carbs. I'd say switch it out if you are worried about it and see what happens.

Bonny-Jean, sorry I couldn't help. I'm not super crazy techy, but I can usually figure stuff out if I mess with it long enough. If I could get access to your computer, I could help lol. Maybe a visit? lol Haven't been through Manitoba in about 6 years, it's pretty up that way.

So, today is the first day in 3 1/2 months that I have not weighed in....I'm kind of going through scale withdrawal!!! lol

My weight loss challenge person's scale broke so I offered mine to do the final weigh in. I get it back tonight, but it still feels super weird not to weigh this morning.

My starting weight for the challenge was 235(it was at the end of work day with clothes on) and my end weight was 193.2(again after a work day with clothes on). My total weight lost for the challenge(3 months) was 41.8 lbs and total percentage of weight lost is 17.79%. Woohoo!

I hope I win the money. I really want to shop for some new clothes for Costa Rica!

Well, I dumped Chrome this morning and using Mozilla Firefox now. I don't see the "ads" anymore. Man, I musta deleted that extension a dozen times last night! I don't really like Firefox and my mouse is acting all weird?? I may still do the whole entire hard drive cleaning this weekend. OMG. Thank you and bmac for trying to help me.

Good Morning!

Bonny-Jean - Way to go! Congratulations on losing 80 lbs! That is an incredible accomplishment! You should be very proud of yourself! Go buy some pretty jewelry to celebrate!

bmac: you have done great in 3 1/2 months! I hope you win the $$. It'd be fun to shop for some new vacation clothes!

Anyone hear from Jo lately? I know she's busy with school, but hoped she'd pop in to say hello! Jo, if you're lurking, we miss you!

As for me..I'm holding at 186 today...I should see 185. something tomorrow I think! Then, just 20-25 lbs to go to reach where I'd like to be for our Florida vacation in November.

Off to do some school shopping today with the kids. I hope you all have a great day and see some good losses!

Colleen

Bonny-Jean-- Congrats on 80 pounds gone!!

Paulette-- Ouch! Hope you can eat our normal stuff soon!

Neener-- Yikes! I may have done the same thing yesterday with sugar. Went through the drive-thru and got black coffee. Mmmm, good. Wait, is this a little sweet? My husband said no. I still had my doubts so didn't finish the second half. I was thinking, though, if it did have sugar maybe it will be good for my leptin? I am so mistrusting anything I don't prepare myself.

Bmac--Hoping you get the $$!

MG and Kimber-- Savor the last of your vacation!

All Warriors--Have a good day of carb freedom!

Morning!

Down to 199 again this AM, one more pound to go to get rid of whatever eating out and regular mt dew damage I did. Today I WILL walk my doggies I can tell it will be very easy for me to get depressed with my son and BF gone. I have to force myself out there or I will sit and sulk and I know that's not healthy.

Bonny Jean - 80 pounds remarkable girl!!!

BMAC - I hope you win the cash! My company is starting one and the grand prize is 10K!!

Colleen - fingers crossed for 185 tomorrow!!
