Hi again!

Still trying to catch up on all of your posts! So many yummy recipes and new food ideas! I love the idea of making my own jello! I will have to try that! And those chicken recipes sound delicious! I've eaten sooooo many bun less burgers on this trip that chicken will be a nice change once I get back home! Thank you ladies!

You are all having such a great start to the month! My goal for August is 10 lbs... If I do better that'd be awesome, but I'd take 10!

We just got back to our hotel. We went to Sesame Place today. It's a very cute amusement/ water park outside of Philadelphia, PA where the theme is Sesame Street. It's perfect for younger kids and so mine all had a great day.

It's amazing how this WOE really works if you stick to it! I bought a new dress while on vacation, size 12. It's very cute and summery and I'm excited to wear it when I get home. It's a little too nice for vacation wear so it has to wait!

Where's Jo? I meant to tell her.. YES I do use Ketostix. I just like to see them turn purple.. I use them about once or twice a week.

Will write more personal notes when back home this week.

Just thinking of all of you! Keep up the great work!

Looking forward to bacon in the morning!!!

Colleen

Ps: here we are today at sesame place!

Colleen- we have the same goal of 10lbs to lose this month. I bet you can't wait to wear that new dress. You'll have to have a night out with your hubby. Glad you and the kids enjoyed Sesame Street.

Morning all you carb warriors!

Well, TOM is messing with my progress. Up 0.7# today. Grrrr. Taking it in stride....

Missing my little man this week. He's staying with my mom and I won't see him till Friday. Trying to accomplish some things around the house before I head out of town tomorrow for the Scottish Highland Games.

I hope everyone has a great low carb day!!

257.2

My body is giving up that fluid slowly but surely! I'm looking forward to hitting an all time low in the next couple of days. I was hoping to hit 250 by the time I left for vacation this Saturday but obviously my body had different plans!

I have a Dr appointment today and will have bloodworm done. I'm interested in my cholesterol levels. I hope she tests for vitamin and mineral levels too!

Congrats to all with losses! Paulette it has to be so exciting that you are under 100lbs left til goal!
Yay Bonny Jean for yet another pound!
Happy to see you check in MG. I love when you post new pics!
Bmac - that .7 increase means nothing! You will drop that and more in no time! I'm intrigued with your homemade pudding. I am jealous that you can indulge with no problems. I would start craving like crazy if I had something sweet tasting like pudding. The most I'm able to do-and very rarely-is some coffee jello with very little sweetener.

This is my last full day of work and then I have a half day tomorrow and the. I am officially on vacation!! Yay!!

Hope everyone has a good on plan day!

Kimber, the "pudding" is soooo easy to make. I bought gelatin and it comes in little packages. I just mixed it with the cold water, added the hot water then added some of the walden farms sugar free syrup (carmel and chocolate) and mixed it up, oh and a pinch of salt. It set in about an hour in the fridge. I also did a blueberry one, but that didn't set for some reason. I made them in ice cube trays so that I can only have super tiny portions or I WILL NOT be able to refrain from digging into more!

Morning!

Hoping you let go of that water Kimber I'm sure its a little frustrating even though you know the plan will work!

I didn't set a pound goal this month. I set a eat clean no matter what goal. My son's grad/going away party is this Sunday...at my friend's Italian restaurant UGH. I'm going to bribe him to make me a steak. The party menu is no where near eating clean. Pasta with choice of marinara or sauce with meatballs, chicken romano, salad, green beans, potatoes and fresh fruit. My mother is insisting we set up a popcorn bar (huge weakness for me). And we'll have dessert. Then..I have a pot luck on the 15th and on the 18th I take him to college.

202 this AM. I can't wait for onderland I know it will increase my motivation 10 fold.

I've been afraid to get on the scale since I got to Kansas. With all this exercise , I was sure I would show a gain, but instead I've had a 3 pound loss!!! I'm at 136!

Colleen, you have a gorgeous family!

Hang in there 72 warriors! You've got this!

Morning All

Nothing exciting to report.... shocker!!

Mthergoos: 1st.. so happy to see ya! 2nd... WTH?? No matter how hard I try to catch you, it's just impossible! Wow, we're almost 20 lbs apart AGAIN!! Hope you're enjoying the heck outta your vacay, although it does sound like bootcamp! You amaze me, lady.

Neener: If you have no menu choices, then just eat your own "clean" on plan foods just before you go to events. It really helps.

Wishing you all a great scale day!! Warrior on!

Never again

I will never purchase Jello "cups" again. I just read all the ingredients after trying to dissolve a chunk of jello in the sink with hot, hot water and after a minute or two, it was still sitting there??? OMG, I thought, what on earth is this stuff made of????

Water, Gelatin, Adipic Acid (For Tartness), Sodium Citrate (Controls Acidity), Citric Acid (For Tartness), Aspartame* And Acesulfame Potassium (Sweeteners), Salt, Red 40, Artificial Flavor. *Phenylketonurics: Contains Phenylalanine.

I think if I ever have this again, I will be making it from scratch and using bmac's idea of the ice cube tray... brilliant, by the way!!

Questions please

Sorry if this isn't the right place to post these questions or to make a new thread for it. Thanks...already posted this in the wrong spot...

Good morning all! I'm sorry, I have a few questions...still trying to get my groove and you've all be so helpful so far.

1. Are you counting or measuring your meats and fats? Or are you just eating what you need?
2. Is there something you all take if/when you have constipation issues? I have benefiber on hand but it has carbs.
3. What are you all using for a food journal? An app or by hand?
4. Are you all only eating cheddar cheese?

I think that's it for now. My mind is so brainwashed by Weight Watchers for so many years, measuring everything became second nature. It feels weird but liberating not to!

TIA!!

Yankee, no need to worry about measuring unless you get a long stall. Eat when you're hungry and stop when you're not. Learn to listen to your body. I take magnesium every day, which helps keep me "regular". You want to make sure your cheese is hard, no soft cheeses. I stick to an extra sharp cheese. The block kind only, pre grated cheese has fillers.

So TOM showed up again today...I guess it was just taking a day off. The good news is that I dropped 2.2 lbs. That's 5.4 lbs since July 30th.

Breakfast and lunch will be the same today (tuna salad, egg salad) and dinner will probably be an omelet with sausage and cheese.

1 - do not, I eat when I'm hungry and even then I drink first just to make sure I'm not thirsty.

2 - this issue seemed to clear up on its own for me

3 - I do not but if I gain I post what I've eaten here for advice, seems to be hidden carbs everywhere

4 - I don't, I eat pepper jack too. Those are the two hard cheeses I can find easily so I stick to them.

Welcome and Good Luck!!

Skinny- you had a great loss in July, I'm sure you will see 10 lbs in August! How was your camping trip?

MG- congrats on another 3 lb loss! You look great! You are so tiny! Your family is lovely.. Do you have 3 other kids too?

Bmac- congrats on the size 14 pants!

So as if today I'm down 35 lbs since May 12th..I can't wait to double that number!

Hope you all have a great day. Rainy here..spending a low key day at museums.

I hope you're right on the weight loss this month. So far this month my body hasn't dropped a pound. The camping trip was wonderful. The place was beautiful and had lakes that were tropical looking. I was exhausted from all the walking and it was nice to be back home and sleep in my bed.
