When you think about it, Pork Rinds have been cooked and crisped up until there is really nothing left but the protein and connective tissues of the pork, so there truly is not much actual fat left to them. Just protein and air. The added sodium is the real problem.

I personally would choose the pork rinds over almonds because they have no carbs.

Wow have you all been chatty

I picked up my son from camp. I almost cried when he ran over jumped on me and gave me a big long hug! So happy to have him back! He introduced me to all his cabin mates. I think he grew another inch or two he is now just under my height at 5 nothing.

We were driving home from austin to dallas and stopped for lunch. I was going to stop at the steak place but Evan wanted Schlotsky's. I had a small salad with chicken. I took off all the other stuff so I'm pleased with myself.

I've stayed at 154 for the week. I would have liked more but 4 lbs is still 4 lbs I'll take it.

We spent the evening at home (you could tell he's exhausted as it is 11:00 am and he is still asleep I'm making Parmesan chicken fingers tonight as it's his favorite.

Chicken tenders, dipped in egg rolled in grated Parmesan and baked in the oven for 30 minutes. I'll make him a side of corn with butter.

You gals have done so well this week that you keep me inspired and on this journey. I honestly wouldn't get to far without you. Motivation is a powerful thing!

Oh, almost forgot that Walmart carries "Skinnygirl". It's a liquid sweetener made from Stevia extract except 160 servings is only like $3.00 Cdn!! Little tiny, white bottle with all the other dry sweeteners. I am a "super-taster" and find a lot of the liquids have an after taste to me but it's probably one of the least expensive on the market right now but seems to cost more in the large chain grocery stores?? Hey, got nothing to lose at 2-3 bucks right and you might love it and it's 0 everything!! Lots a long time too. Let us know what worked for you.

Andi- glad your son is back home with you. Sounds like he must have had lots of fun. Your chicken fingers sound good.

Had a three egg omelet with pepper jack hard cheese and two sausage patties. I was stuffed after that with a cup of bulletproof coffee. I added sf vanilla syrup to the coffee and I must say I prefer to have my bulletproof coffee unsweetened. It gave it an off taste. I will leave the sf syrup for days when I have plain coffee. Going to make meatloaf for the family and have a modified dry rub loaf for myself.

Had a strange lunch today, well strange for me. Had to cave and get some hwc, just can't do 100% coconut milk so back to my 90/10 mix. So while in the store, I got a craving for mozza cheese? No explanation cause I'm not really a cheese eater. Anyway, picked up 150 gr. of pastrami and some expensive mozza that was recommended. Anyway, put a thin slice on 4 slices of meat and except for the tomato sauce, I convinced myself it tasted like pizza. So total carbs was 2 for the whole meal. I get real meat without the cheese woulda been 0 but it was a change from eggs. Now I fear I won't have room for my planned bbq prime rib steak. Well, maybe tomorrow then.

Did you heat it up so it looked like a pizza? Or just eat it roll-up style?

LOL. No, I stuck it in the mic. Might have tasted better in the toaster oven but I was beyond hungry so. Oh, I also found out I really dislike Swiss.
I got it mixed up with the A&W Mozza burger.
Where did I get Swiss from??

I heard that Netrition or Walden Farms has a really low carb tomato sauce or paste that is 1 or less carbs per tbsp so as soon as I hit maintenance, I think I will give that a try but the meat & mozza was pretty good actually. So much so I kinda felt like I was cheating or something??

Hello everyone I'm still around still in ketosis, but the scale is being very unkind to 24 this morning my weight has been up and down and up and down I am dropping the heavy whipping cream for the most part I bought coconut milk in can. I'm at 224 at the moment I can't explain it except I think it might have to do with some wild yam progesterone cream I was taking for perimenopause symptoms. I read online that it can cause weight gain in some people I've gained 12 pounds since March when I started using it I am dropping it like a hot rock and see if the scales can have more movement now. I'm upping magnesium citrate to hopefully get that nice, and the fact that the cream gave me. I was hoping there would be in August hardcore Atkins induction goal post so I can post my food and my weight daily. Not giving up trusting the process and making some tweaks.

I really shouldn't voice text. I see what a mess my text was. what I was trying to say is that the progesterone cream really helped with some of the peri menopause anxiety.

If string cheese is mozzarella processed just like regular mozz, why is it not allowed and mozzarella allowed Is it not a soft cheese? I guess it is just confusing some times

Hi! Jo that was very sweet! Thank you! I'm missing all of you too! I can't keep up with all the posts!

I'm having a great time, but I'm pretty sure my daughter is trying to kill me! I know I've told you she has a small fitness studio, so I've been going to all of her classes with her. Here is an example of what we did on Saturday...... Stand up paddle board in the morning, 2 exercise classes in the afternoon, a 5k that night, followed by midnight yoga. Today was Pilates in the morning, then kickboxing in the afternoon, immediately followed by an insanity class, and the trampoline park tonight. Oh my heavens! Every day is like this. I may not survive this vacation,

I've attached a picture of my grand kids and I at the 5k.

Hello fellow warriors!!!

I feel like I haven't been on here in ages and from the looks of the thread it seems like you ladies have been chatty!!

I have not been able to go through all the posts yet. There are about ten pages!!

I had an amazing weekend with my family. Great time shopping with my mom and fishing with my dad and brother. The pool party was great too! Shopping for clothes was more exciting than I thought it would be too. I tried on a size 14 pants and they fit! Wow! And I also bought a few size large shirts and a size large dress. Unbelievable!!

I only lost 1# over the weekend, which I figured would be more...but at the pool party I had a few more cubes of cheese than I normally would have a d I munched on a small bag of pork rinds too. Not off plan, but just more than I usually eat, so the losing process slowed a tad. Felt great about the weekend though.

But!!! My food shopping experience did not yeild the reward I was hoping for...finding Walden farms products was close to a complete bust. I was finally able to find some dressings at the last store though. I tried the thousand island one and definitely not what I was expecting. It might be acceptable, but I not sure yet. Found the tillamook cheese. Delicious couldn't find d DA Vinci syrups or Torino syrups either. I did find liquid smoke though, which wasa pleasant surprise. Picked up some gelatin too, to make my own jello. Oh, and I picked up as many bags of pork rinds as I could find. I cleaned out 3 stores! Lol

I'm hoping to catch up on the thread today. Also, I think I'm going to try that chicken Kiev tonight that Paulette posted.

Have a great day carb warriors!!!

Hi Everyone!

Just dropping in to say a quick hello! I haven't had time to read all the posts as you have all been super busy on this board and there are lots of posts to catch up on!

I just want to say congrats to Paulette.. Your pictures really show a great transformation and I'm glad your new jeans fit! Awesome!!

I am down to an even 190 this morning. I still have a few days left on vacation so I'm hopeful I'll see the 180's by the time I head home. TOM of month slowed me a bit on the trip, but now the scale is moving pretty good for me.

Have a great day and keep up the great progress!! Thinking of all of you!

Colleen!!!! You have a herd of very cute babies!!!!!! WOW!!! Thank you for the sweet compliment on my photos!

MthrGoos! It is so nice to hear from you. I have been thinking of you! Your photos are beautiful and all of you look like you are having a wonderful time! It is great to have such quality time with your family! Enjoy yourself!!!!

Sherlock, I love the chicken print! I have a chicken theme in my kitchen. This would make a great framed picture! I wish I had it.

BMAC, congrats on those tiny sizes!!!! What a great surprise! I hope you like the Kiev - the butter leaked out of mine while baking, but it was delicious none-the-less.

Bonny-Jean, I am glad you finally went down a lb after so long! But as ASHLEY2HAWAII asked, Isn't mozzarella off the list? I forgot about this, too, because it is a semi-soft cheese. It was a thin slice and I suppose it is not harmful, compared to a whole stick of it, like string cheese....Mozzarella has 1 carb in 1 oz.

Colleen - they are too cute!! I wish I had more children..sigh.

BMAC - You go you size 14 girl!!

MthGoose - Great photos!! You look very happy! I can't imagine looking that happy after a 5K LOL

Paulette - > 100!!! It must feel awesome...you have come so far!!

Bonny-Jean - Hmmm..pizza is something I do not crave, but I love it. Ketosis is interesting in that way. I'm not sure I crave anything really, must mean I am very much back on track.

I had a hard boiled egg for breakfast, just realized I was hungry. Hopefully its a good sign I'll be breaking this 3 days stretch stuck at 203. Tuesday is my chicken wing night and I am pleased to announce for the last 3 weeks my girlfriends have skipped the beer with their wings. I've been noticing in small ways how I am influencing people around me. I am happy about that. My poor son however is dying without the pasta, rice and other carby dishes I used to make. Oh well..13 days he'll be at college he can eat whatever he wants there!

Sounds like you have been kept busy with your family. That is a lot of exercise! Just reading it made me feel exhausted. Enjoy the next week of your vacation with your family.

Glad you were able to find a few things on your list. I am surprised you couldn't find any sf syrup. Just order it off amazon they have it for cheap too. I love liquid smoke it gives meats such a great flavor. Yay glad you were able to buy smaller clothes!!
