I didn't realize hollandaise sauce was so 72 friendly. I used to love eggs benedict, I'll have to try it minus the bread of corse. I also thought it has cheese in it lol

3 egg yolks
1/4 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 dash hot pepper sauce (e.g. Tabasco™)
1/2 cup butter

In the container of a blender, combine the egg yolks, mustard, lemon juice and hot pepper sauce. Cover, and blend for about 5 seconds.

Place the butter in a glass measuring cup. Heat butter in the microwave for about 1 minute, or until completely melted and hot. Set the blender on high speed, and pour the butter into the egg yolk mixture in a thin stream. It should thicken almost immediately. Keep the sauce warm until serving by placing the blender container in a pan of hot tap water.

I'm standing there in the dressing room stuck in this bra! I was afraid I might rip it if I grabbed it from the back with my good arm. I finally got free and decided that I need a bra that has clasps(hook&eye).
They make Genie bras that zip up in the front now!!!!

Paulette, I just made the alfredo and I doubled it because I wanted to use up some cream. It worked great. I put it over some chicken breasts (already grilled yesterday), in the crockpot. Alfredo is my husband's favorite. I just had a little taste--soooo good. Realized recently that I need to cut back on cheese and cream so a taste will do for me. Thank you for the recipe!

The scale stayed the same today and I'm OK with that. Weekends are so hard so just staying on plan is great for me.

I never got any housecleaning done yesterday but I did go to some yard sales and then to the river with my sons and my dog. I'm so thankful my boys(age 24 and 18) still let me tag along with them.

Today's plan is to get the house clean and get my food prepared for the week. My meals will be based on what's on sale.

I'm not much of a techy and didn't realize you can't sit outside with a laptop!! After much preparation... getting the lounger, oversized cushion, table, coffee, radio, extension cord...... sat down to read all your posts and I couldn't see CRAP!!! Ugh!! Grrr! Oh well, thought I could a little sun while I was reading but no such luck. (eye roll)

So is it a "laptop" thing or is it cause my laptop is a dinosaur?

It was a hand-me-down from my techy ds.

I just tried an experiment....let's see how it turns out:
Homemade SF jello
1 cup cold water
1 cup boiling water
1T Great Lakes Unflavored Gelatin
1t Simply Organic Orange Extract
30 drops Stevita
Mix your cold water and you gelatin together and let sit while you boil your water. Add boiling water, and stir thoroughly. Add extract and Stevita...refrigerate.

I tasted it in the liquid form....and it had a light and refreshing orange zesty type taste. Waiting to see what it tastes like once jelled.

Skinnycj - congratulations! I'm flirting with 145 but it remains elusive. I am going to get there one of these days. I thought I would be there on Aug. 1st, but instead of going down from Jul. 31, the damn scale went up!! I hate that!
Darn that scale! You will get there soon enough. Hopefully by the end of this week.

Okay, I wasn't gonna ask for fear of looking stupid but stupid is as stupid does!

Anyway, may I ask WHY so many are making Jello from scratch??? Jello??
What's wrong with the powdered s/f stuff we just add water to??
Now, please don't get me wrong, I mean this in the most sincere way. Honestly.

Does anyone here eat egg creams? I remember finding a recipe on this forum, and they are 72 friendly. I've done raw eggs in a protein shake so I'm not afraid of that, but I've never had them blended with just water, cream and Splenda.
