Vitamins?

Just wondering what brand vitamin you all use. The one I have now is a sweet hard chewy one and I am sure it is not going to work with A-72.
Thanks!

Give away the gummy bears.......I take multi, and serveral other supplements. I am a big believer in Omega3 so that is one I would also recommend.

I am a high school teacher. Going to give the gummy/candy vitamins to some students that are on their own and I know can use them. Just wondering if there is a specific brand that is best for the "no carb" A-72 diet?

I take a generic grocery store version of Centrum Silver and top it up with extra calcium and potassium. Sometimes some extra magnesium, always lots of extra sodium. I also take some fish oil and other stuff in my cupboard when I need it.

Hi Everyone,

I bought my Vitamins from Whole Foods. I get the Whole Foods brand. In doing so; you get a Whole Foods Vitamin card and for every 10th bottle purchased; you are eligible for a discount on your next bottle purchased.

Also, if interested; Dr. Atkins completed a book Dr. Atkin's Vita-Nutrient Solution; Nature's Answer to Drugs. Published in 1997. In it; he breaks down all his recommended supplements for this way of eating and addresses the specific needs of different diseases.

I LOVE vitalize from shaklee. As a holistic practitioner and herbalist I am careful about supplements and vitamins. The vitalize combines multi vitamin plus the nutrients I recommend for overall health. It's what I recommend but the important thing to look for are vitamins without fillers, made from real ingredients without chemicals, etc.

I am trying to find vitamins that have all of the nutrients we need to replace by eating lower amounts of veggies but aren't huge. I bought some from the NOW brand because the vitamin content looked impressive but what I didn't pay attention to is the serving size. They want me to take 4 pills and they are quite large... I can't handle taking that many pills....

You could look into drinking greens. Watch for organic pure ingredients without fillers, etc. mix in water...

That is something I was going to try end then wasn't sure if it would make them less effective...but as I'm thinking this I am realizing that you eat your nutrients throughout the day, not all at once. So not that I am done with my blonde moment, I will try that and try to distract myself. One of the vitamins is also a actual hard pill and not a gel capsule so I am thinking I might cut it in half? Not sure if that is ok or not. Does anyone know the rules for that? I know some pill bottles will say "do not cut" but isn't that usually for ones that are stuffed and not a hard pill?

You shouldn't have a problem cutting hard pills in half, especially if they are big. It's only the gel capsules and coded pills that are the problem.

I use a nutritional supplement called Thrive. It's 100% natural and includes all your vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, probiotics. Two capsules in the morning, a protein shake days/week (only 4 carbs and I use SF jello pudding mix to add flavor). I have been taking it since March and have never felt better!
