My 2nd month on Atkins... and I took a cheat night.. Good or bad?

My diet was stalled and ive been on atkins 2 months now. 14 pounds lost till march hit. I've lost nothing at all! So today i decided it be my cheat day.. I feel horrible doing it. Was it wrong of me? I plan on starting again first thing tomorow morning. LOL back to bootcamp I just feel like I made a huge mistake on my Atkins journey... I feel like its going to affect me when i start back up tomorrow..

From my experience, that cheat day will hit the scale in 2 days, even eating back on plan for the next 2 days, so dont let that discourage you, just keep going, because like everything the effect doesnt come till later, what matters is that you go back on now, and knowing that u need to get back into ketosis, i would say very low carb for the next couple days, u will know you r doing it right with no cheats, but dont forget the scale may not reflect that due to the cheat day, BUT IT WILL, hang in there, says me who is the queen of all STALLERS , but i am tryin to regroup at this point

Hi Cadet -
I just wanted to encourage you.
What do you think caused your cheat?

I wanted to share this chocolate busting craving thing I've made the last couple days. I got it from SugarFree Sheila's site

4T hemp seeds (Costco sells a bag for $15 for these really good ones that will last a long while!)
4T coconut oil (melted)
1 scoop chocolate protein powder (mine is 7g carb which is horrible. many have 1g carb and are good, so I hear)
and the recipe calls for some vanilla extract but I use a Tablespoon or so of Davinci's sf chocolate syrup.

I mix all of those together and after a couple minutes it starts to harden some..I just eat it in the bowl like that, (Sheila rolls hers into balls) and it really tastes good, is healthy, and filling.
Totally takes away my chocolate craving.

It's only bad if you let it derail you long-term. Just get right back on plan.

Sorry about your cheat night -- but remember we aren't QUITTERS, just climb back on your LC horse, take the reins and get back on track. Most of us (okay ALL of us) have had one bad night, just don't do it too often or it's called yo-yo dieting. I know I'm a recovering yo-yo dieting expert! I know Partyof7 asked, but do you know why you did it so that you can avoid it next time?

I'm over here cheering you on, Cadet.

I would look at the cheat day for what it was, what triggered it and try to find ways to help you avoid it in the future. Be kind to yourself, today is a new day. Just stay on plan. We all have days where we struggle.
