Is it harder the 2nd time around?
I lost 43 pounds 3 years ago and got to my goal weight. Maintained until about a year ago and let things slide a bit. I have gained about 8 pounds and want to stop this in its tracks. BUT, I am finding even if I go back to how how was eating when I lost weight nothing budges. I am not cheating, I have my food lists that I used then and am not having success now. I am thinking when I was reading these forums in the past that it was difficult for your system to adjust to this WOE the second, third time etc. Any input?

Yes for me any version of LC never worked quite the same as it did the first time. Never could get back into ketosis, was always hungry and within no time I was sliding. Just couldn't maintain it and I didn't feel well.

So what I did was I upped my carbs (100 grams), counted calories (unfortunately) and started exercising. I lost a sensible .5 - 2 pounds a week this way.

Thanks for your experience. What is a typical menu that you are upping carbs but, still keeping calories low. I have been trying to incorporate more good fats, still eating protein but, am sure my calories are quite high. Thanks for your input.

It seems to be harder for me the 2nd time around. I lost 50lbs and then gained it plus more as I moved to a colder climate and started eating the local foods.
