Not in ketosis!

Good morning, all!

My name is Karen. I am not new to Atkins, but recently returned to it after having been naughty for several years. I had been doing the 1992 version and not having any results. I then realized, after reading this board, that I had been following the 1972 version initially, at least for Induction, many years back. So I started on that a week ago yesterday.

After two days, I did have trace ketones. Day 3, small amounts. Days 4-7, back to trace. Yesterday and today, nothing.

I have not altered my eating in any way for each of these days which would account for my body coming out of ketosis. I'm a little frustrated at the moment, and I wanted to try reaching out here for suggestions.

Please let me know if there are any questions I can answer that may help. Thank you!

I'll give you so far for today. I'll need to look at my diary to post previous days.

Breakfast - 2 Jones sausage links, 3 eggs scrambled, 1 cup baby spinach, 1/2 T baby spinach, 2 slices Sargento baby Swiss slices, 1 cup coffee, 1t heavy cream

snack - XS energy drink, Tropical, caffeine free

Lunch - 1 5oz can Bumble Bee solid white tuna in oil, 2T Hellman's mayonnaise, 1 homemade dill pickle spear ( no sugar!), 1C chopped Romaine lettuce, 1 cup of coffee, 1t heavy cream.

these are very normal so far for the day. I will have an afternoon snack in a bit of chicharrones, 1 serving.

I will post a couple of days meals in a little while.

Okay, I'm not an expert, but hopefully the ones who are will shed some light. So, I'm winging it here!

*Salad should be only 2 cups per day.
*Cream should only be 3-4 teaspoons a day.

Everything else looks okay to me. Maybe check the sausage for added sugar, also the energy drink.

Hope MissyDee and some of the others stop by to check it out.

Thanks all! I think I figured it out, totally by chance. Too high calories from proteins for a couple of days. Apparently it was the calories. Since bringing those down without trying, I'm now in ketosis, and today is the first time I'm just over the small color. Actually seeing losses on the scale! WOO HOO!
