I entered my daily menu into a tracker just to see where I am like you suggested MtherGoos and here are my stats. Please tell me what you think.
68% fat
31% protein
1%carbs
1423 calories.... is this too high?

Debbie, I think your numbers look really good. I would stay consistent and have patience. Sometimes the scale isn't moving, but our body is changing, and then all of a sudden the scale will drop several pounds. Don't lose faith!

Debbie, I noticed when you posted your menu that you were eating sausage. When I was on this board years ago, some people had problems with processed meat making them stall. When they would cut out the processed meat, they would start losing again. I'm not saying that is the case for you, but just something to consider if you don't start losing soon.

I try to get around 75% fat and keep my protein to around 24% and no more than 1% carbs. I find that my protein can become too high if I don't work out my menus first. That way I can creatively choose how to add extra fats to the mix (add more mayo here, more butter there...). I eat no veggies except to perhaps add a little diced celery to my tuna salad for flavor and crunch. No lettuce. And that is it. I like diet soda, and I find it does not affect me, so I include that every once in a while. I have cut out all coffee, sweeteners and cream for the time being which is the only thing I miss. But I will eventually add them back in to see if I can still continue to lose. I have no desire for nuts, but cheese is something I do like a lot, but I keep to the rules and only add what is allowed on induction for now.
By the way, I weighed myself this morning and I am down another pound! This '72 diet really does work for me. My body hates carbs, therefore, I hate them too. Bacon Rules!!!
LOL @ Bacon Rules! Congrats on the "another pound" gone!!

I find what works for me is to know what I am going to eat well before I get hungry -- keeps me from making poor food choices.

I decided to re-read my Atkins '72 book and I decided I would try the oopsie rolls again. I made them probably over a year ago and just couldn't get into them. This time I am loving them. I split one open, out a piece of American cheese on, pop it in the oven to toast, and then add an egg and some turkey bacon. Oh my! I feel like I'm eating a big Ol' Hardee's biscuit! I am one happy girl.
Also, this morning I couldn't find a t-shirt and didnt want to wear my good clothes so I decided to get one of my husbands t-shirts and just try it on. We have been married 21 years and I have NEVER been able to fit into his clothes. Guess what? It fit perfectly. I am finally almost smaller than my man.

Congratulations cfine! I am new to posting on this forum, but I've lurked for quite a while. Monday, 3/3/14, I started '72 again for the first time in five years. I lost and maintained from 1999 to 2009 and have since picked up about 20 lbs. I'd like to lose it rather quickly and I plan to stay in level 1 until I do so; but my question ot you is, with the amount of weight you've lost, do you still do high levels of fat or are you mostly concentrating on no carbs?

I have had times where I ate very high fat. I am finding that going lower on my calories is helping the weight to come off better. I was previously eating 1700-2000 calories and now I am eating 1100-1500 calories. I try never to go over 100 grams of protein because I just personally don't think I need more protein than that. I try to stay under 15 net carbs per day, usually I end up t around 10 but sometimes go over that. I still get plenty of fat but not nearly as much as in the past. My plan is to go back to a higher fat diet when I finish losing my weight. I will probably always have to be fairly LC because I am so carb sensitive. I hope to one day be able to eat more veggies.

My calories usually add up to about 1800. I like to have about 75% fat, 24% protein and 1% carbs. So far, since I started the Atkins '72, I have been steadily losing everyday. If I find I am slowing to a crawl, I will try cutting a little fat, but I agree with you - I don't want to go much over 100 g of protein. For now, I don't want to go over 5 carbs a day because I know I will stop losing, and I want my induction phase to last as long as I feel necessary.

I am starting 72 today because I have been 'trying' since January with no success so there has to be something I am being too liberal with or something I am sensitive too. I'm excited to learn from you all

Thanks for the details! I upped my fat today and I could tell the difference almost immediately. I think, because I only have 25 lbs to lose, that I may have to stay around 75 - 80% fat to see a difference. I'm sure you already know or have read/heard the reasons a few pounds don't come off as easily as trying to lose many pounds and I think those reasons may be true with me. Which is why I'm kind of trying to fool my body. :-) I'm 5'10" and 158; so I'm well within my ideal weight, I just like to be thin and need to catch it now before it gets out of control.

Does that mean you have been on week 1 of 72 for 9 months? Or are you climbing the ladder? If climbing, what net g are you at now?

thanks for helping me!!

Hi Jacki, Actually, it's been over a year now, and yes I've been on week 1 of induction for over a year now. I don't plan on climbing the ladder until I'm at goal.

Look at you, MtheGoos, you are almost "not obese!" You are a huge inspiration and I think about you a lot. You are the reason that I have up veggies for the most part. We never know who is watching us and who we might be having an impact on. Thanks for sharing your journey.

As I mentioned before, out of curiosity, I went out & purposely looked for the 72 version. Simple & clear cut is a good way to put it.
I think it's only the newest addition "NANNY" that throws people for a real loop by permitting fibre into the carb count.

Today I made Julia Child’s Easy Blender Hollandaise Sauce to put over salmon. It was awesome!!!

Totally on plan and added a pizazz to my meal. Woot!

If anyone is interested I'll post the recipe. I plan on making this for other meats as well. And of course over poached eggs.

I'm at week 1 of Induction as well for the past 36 weeks (as of tomorrow). Six grams of carbs daily -- my plan is to lose 4 or 5 lbs under my goal and then start slowly adding carbs (3-5 grams per day) for two weeks and monitor my progress. The 4-5 lbs under my goal weight is "wiggle" room for experimenting with adding the carbs.

JusJo, I'm truly in awe of both you and mthergoos. Did you give in to any of your weaknesses during those weeks? I'm not necessarily meaning things pre this Atkins WOL/WOE, but things like nuts, wine, etc...

I struggled so much last night trying to resist almonds. I literally had to go to bed at 9p in order to resist them. I started induction Monday, 3/3/14, and have been able to resist a lot - even hot and fresh Krispy Kreme donuts I picked up for my kids yesterday; but those almonds seemed to OWN me for a moment...
