Very, very wise to simplify at this point!

Phoebe, thanks for turning me on to the riced cauliflower. It's now become a staple - although that's also because a head of cauliflower lasts a whole week! They are so huge and last a very long time. Wondering when I will ever get finished with the one in my fridge.

OMG, I know right?? It's so yum and easy to do like chicken in a mushroom cream sauce with that cauli-rice on the side.

I also want to try rice casserole versions w/ cauliflower whenever I remember to get my oven fixed.

B: crab omelet (1 can of crabmeat lasts a surprisingly long time), avocado
L: Pork, sour cream and cheese
D: tortilla chips and a beef quesadilla. yes I ate the whole thing. and yes, it pushed me out of ketosis. The battle continues. grrrr.

Yesterday, I was refinishing my floors downstairs - that's the entire living room, dining room and room that will be the future kitchen. I carried furniture and sanded all day. It meant a lot of moving around and standing all day. By dinner time, I was really tired, and I felt that my body was screaming for carbs. When we went out to dinner late that night, nothing on the menu held any interest for me except carby stuff. Now I wonder if was just thirst. I had not drank much all day.

I have another day of hard work ahead of me. I'm going to stay very hydrated and see if it makes a difference.

I do think that hydrating made a difference today. I made sure to drink a cup of water every hour during the long day, and now I'm here at dinner time feeling great, not even really hungry. In fact there are some leftover croissant sitting here from BF this morning, and I'm not even slightly tempted! I'm thinking about doing some more sanding on the floor, not eating.

B: egg cheese and sausage breakfast sandwich, no croissant. giant coffee and cream
L: one more egg/cheese/sausage sandwich hold the croissant. water
D: might be the remainder of the crab dip with endive leaf dippers

WTH?? Not only did someone bring in an assorted box of donuts to share with the group, they put it on the table just next to my desk. I am fine today, I'm feeling strong, not even tempted. But for some reason, everyone who comes over to get one is telling me about each type of donut in the box (hmmm. should I get the jelly or cream filled?) and then each person has been showing me the donut they ended up choosing (Look, I got the chocolate icing). Am I being tested by the universe or something? Well, I am passing this test! I'm not interested!!

I had Boars head spicy turkey rolled up with cheese and mayo inside cabbage leaves, which I munched on during the drive to work. Now I'm drinking an enormous vanilla coffee with a dash of cinnamon. I am full and content. I don't care about donuts

After reading mjgh06's recent post in this forum about sticking to the original, it's obvious I have not been following the original plan at all. So here I am starting over again, after failing last week again. Am very scared because I've started over so many times. I've failed and succumbed to temptation so many times. I really don't know if I can even do this. I mean, can I even make it all the way through a whole week of induction?? I just don't want to fail again.

OK Day 1

B: dandelion and parsley tea, hard boiled eggs, homemade meatballs (beef, pork, cilantro, garlic, spices, cheese)
S: coffee w 2T hwc
L: Tuna with mayo, 1 oz cheddar, 1 c mixed salad greens, O&V, diet mt dew
S: eggs and meatballs leftover from B.
D: leftover pork and beef mixture.

vitamins - yes
water - yes

As I just messaged you, I found out I hadn't done the induction right, either. The way the book is laid out makes it look like the veggies are to be included in the first week. I'm beginning again.

Death to low-fat stuff!
