WTG! I had a huge salad for lunch will only allow myself a pickle or something at dinner. I hate that onions are so high-carb (random thought of the day)

Agreed, I hate that onions are so high carb too . but the good news is that a little goes a long way, flavor-wise. Are you a garlic fan? I've been that in everything lately

I don't think I made it under 20 today, but must have been close.

Onward to another day.

omg, so easy, so decadent! I don't have a recipe, I just mixed a can of crab meat with an egg, a wee bit of ground flax seed and some fresh herbs i had on hand, stuffed mixture into mushroom caps, and topped with some cheese - n this case laughing cow soft cheddar (but wanted to use brie).

Who needs to cheat when we can eat like this??

mmmm. yes and yes. or even a big juicy cheeseburger with a blob of mayo on top. (I just move the bun out of way with each bite.)

Crab stuffed anything. Grilled salmon with dill cream sauce.

Thanks for this Phoebe, I no longer feel like nibbling the damn cupcakes people keep bringing in to the office! I'm just biding my time until I can have a nice, fatty dinner.

scale was down 1 lb this am. slow, slow slow. but still happening.

Beef stroganoff (with HWC instead of sour cream, and lots of mushrooms in the sauce) over buttery cauli "rice". So yum.

Damn cupcakes indeed! I had to fend off pastry-cream-filled tarts with fresh fruit on top at work the other day.

You are tempting me to step on the scale (right after TOM is over!)

Here is a great article on how our thinking can affect our bodies, including weight loss. We know that negative thinking can impact our wight-loss success. This study finds that discarding negative thoughts about weight loss altogether is better than trying to change them. Write them down, suggest this study, and then rip up the paper and forget them.

(I hope we are allowed to link to articles from here)

Another good day is almost under my belt (no pun intended). I am feeling good and strong.

B: Bacon and eggs, coffee
L: Crabmeat and cheese omelet. (oh my lordy, that is good)
D: tbd, but will be meat only. maybe a burger?

exercise: very heavy duty yard work, carrying and stacking heavy pavers for two hours. Sweating like crazy.

Look at that classic Atkins 72 day of eating! You're doing awesome.

While I'm putzing around with SF pudding mixes that will be my downfall

I finished the day with this yummy pork chop That I grilled on my little grill on the back porch all alone. It was the best ending to a day of very hard work.

for the past 2 days I have felt so bleah. my energy level is high but I just don't feel right. I'm light headed and woozy. yesterday I was shaking so much that I finally decided to just eat something with carbs,, just to snap out of it. so I ate a Snickers bar. 33 carbs. when I got home I ate a good meal, but kept the carbs at 0. today I kept the carbs around 0 and I also feel light headed. I'm going to up my carbs but this time make them veggies instead of candy. also drinking more water and no coffee.

Sounds like a plan Poppies...lightheadedness shouldn't be happening. Do you think it's the diuretic effect of the diet? Maybe try soup and/or an avocado topped with mayonnaise/splash of soy sauce

I counted up my calorie intake for the two days I wasn't feeling well, and realized I was under 1000 both days. I think I was just hungry and didn't realize it! I decided to simply eat more meat - easy fix so far, so good (That avocado idea sounds really dern good).

still putzing around with the same 3 pounds, though. No solid losses to show for all this dieting.

I have been working really hard on some landscaping around the yard. I really thought I would drop some pounds! Jeez, what do I have to do to get rid of this blubber? Even with the Snickers bar, my carbs have been low - under 20 for most days. Ketostix have been purple the whole time. My calories were low for days, and my calorie output has been very high. Getting pretty discouraged. Come on body! Give up this fat already, we don't need it!

And now i'm talking to my body...

Do your clothes feel smaller? Do you feel smaller in general?

That's why I avoid the scale like a plague. I'd rather step on once a month and be pleased with the accumulated progress. For example, if I stepped on it today while TOM I would probably sink into depression over the artificial gain because of water retention and eat some fried wontons or something.

Hope you whoosh soon

My clothes do not feel any smaller, no. sigh. I guess I just have to give it more time. on the positive side, I am getting a lot better at saying no to off plan treats, so that's progress. It's also tom for me, and I did not break except for the snickers when I felt sick and dizzy. I consider that a medicinal use of candy .

today was good. chicken salad for breakfast (weird but, I had it leftover and didn't have time to cook eggs). Lunch: double cheeseburger, hold the bun. snack: more chicken salad. Dinner: greasy pork chop. I drank about 1.5 quarts of water all day, and had a diet mt dew for breakfast.

no sugar, no treats. A pretty much perfect cheat-free day. I didn't feel sick or light headed at all.

yesterday was a clean day under 20 carbs total. I was careful to not allow myself to become hungry at all.

B: 3 oz pork chop and zucchini hash browns with extra egg
L: chicken salad over iceberg lettuce w ranch
S: the rest of the zucchini hash browns with 3 oz chopped up pork chop
D: bacon and fried eggs.
S: coffee with cream (stomach cramped up at the cream, lactose intolerance is really showing itself now that I'm using less dairy)

Energy level: great!

I do need to stop weighing every day, it's too stressful.
