I can drink coffee again.....This morning I took the plunge and had a cup of coffee with JUST heavy whipping cream and ONE tablespoon of sugar-free Carmel syrup - WOW, DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the suggestions - Never thought that I would be drinking coffee without 5 spoons of sugar - LOL - YEAH!!!!!!!

awesome, glad you are back to being caffeinated and honestly i find that a tiny amount of heavy cream can actually go the long way, i tend to drink about 16 onz and just a splash (like maybe a tablespoon) makes the coffee fantastic and i still have enough creamer in the cup to top off once it starts getting a bit cold.

I can't live without the stuff. The brand we buy I just stick to half and half, the Land'o'lakes heavy cream at our store has 1 sugar per tbsp, where the half and half is 1 sugar per 2 tbsp...??

The heavy whipping cream is sometimes "enhanced" with carrageenan or other thickeners which is where the carbs come from. In theory, cream should just be unchurned, unsealed butter. We can eat all the butter we want!

I am trying to stay at 3 oz of cream or less each day, that's just enough for all the coffee I drink. It's a challenge for me because I think cream belongs in everything!

I drink decaf coffee and use half and half. I dislike the greasiness of the heavy cream so I'm willing to give up the few carbs that are in half and half.

Half and half has been my gold standard for many years, but I've switched to HWC, CO, and/or Butter. With my stick frother, I find these combos blend well., not that I mind a bit of fat residue. Yum. I still go half and half at coffee shop without a flinch, though.
