Afternoon Ladies
Well I made it through the fair with minimal pain. I ended up having a chicken gyro but I only ate the insides. I did however, have 3 fried cheese nuggets and 2 fireballs. I kept the fireballs in my mouth as I was walking around smelling all the food!! It helped stop me from thinking of something else to put in my mouth.
We got up early this morning and headed down to our walk. I think the total was about 2 miles, it took us a little over an hour. There were so many people there so it was hard to walk at a good pace. We went to the green market after and the boys had a few treats, but I waited until we got home to eat. Safer...
We are going to a seafood place for tonight for Alec's birthday dinner. Crab legs and butter...easy on the butter with salad. Planning ahead
Cheryl love the boots! They look perfect for any kind of weather. I was walking around at the fair talking to the horses last night and thought of you. Yes I was talking to them because I felt bad they were stuck there alone. Wonder what goes through their minds with all these people walking by looking at them.
Coloring my hair and just noticed time was up! Better go
Cheryl hope you first day goes well with LC!
Lola how is your Mom feeling?

I hope your hair came out good! What color? Sounds like you did pretty well at the Fair. Those horses enjoyed the conversation, I'm sure. Crab legs with butter sounds really nice. Why are you going light on the butter? That's the beauty of Atkins.

I need to get ready for the farm. Hope my volunteer shows up! She's a big help. Later!

Oh, I love fairs! I'm so glad that you ladies are active every day, it encourages me!

Here's the skinny for today.

B~ EAS protein drink with 2 c vanilla coffee, some whipping cream and 2 splenda
L~1 cup raw spinach with 2 slices of bacon
D~ to be a sauteed chicken breast with butter

Gonna throw something new into the mix. No more eating after 6:30 every evening.
I sometimes graze on pork rinds at night while watching the tube but I realized I'm only noshing out of habit and not true hunger. A cup of chicken/beef bullion or Sleepytime Tea to send me to dreamland on the odd night that I might get peckish. Gotta take control and own my actions. Wish me luck. =)

sweetie ♥

I am doing well so far on my first LC day. I had one mug of coffee with half and half (1 oz, as per my kitchen scale) and with Ez Sweetz. Then I ate some bacon that I nuked in the micro. When I got back from the farm, I picked up a rotisserie chicken at the store. They assured me that the only thing they put on them is Paprika to help with the browning.

It's kind of weird. Earlier I thought I really had a full bladder and figured it was from the natural diuretic effect of eating LC, but then when I got the chance to pee, there really wasn't a ton of fluid in me. Maybe the little crampy feeling was in my intestinal tract.

Another very very cold day at the farm. But it's done now and I'm in the house where it's safe and warm. I can hardly wait to start shedding all this weight and wearing the clothes that are just hanging around (no pun intended), waiting for me to put them on.

Chile Verde recipe

I hope everybody has been having a great January.

Sorry for the late reply, but here is the Chile Verde recipe I mentioned a couple of weeks ago:

Chile verde Ė serves 5

Sear the meat in the vegetable oil until well browned:
1 1/2 lbs cubed pork stew meat
1 Tablespoon vegetable oil

Saute onions and garlic in the pan with salt and pepper until the onions are tender.
1/2 large yellow onions
1 1/2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 tablespoon sea salt
1/4 to taste fresh ground pepper, to taste

Add the cumin, pork and chicken broth and simmer for 30 minutes.
1/4 tablespoon ground cumin
1 1/8 quarts chicken broth

Puree tomatillos and cilantro in a blender.
3/4 lb fresh tomatillos, husks removed
1/4 cup cilantro leaf, coarsely chopped

Add peppers and tomatillos/cilantro and simmer until the meat is tender.
2 fresh poblano chiles, seeded and chopped
1 fresh jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
1/2 yellow bell peppers, seeded and chopped

You should have no trouble substituting other meats, if you prefer. This recipe works well for slow cookers, but there's a lot of chopping and mess. The taste is incredible.

This week, I also made a batch of coconut oil chocolate bark, with unsweetened coconut flakes and choppped pecans to give it some texture, and I've been eating a square of it for breakfast, about 1 T oil per square, instead of the eggs/bacon I had previously been eating. The main thing I noticed is a marked decrease in appetite. (It's also a lot less trouble than pulling out the frying pan.)

Very strange, really, to not feel hungry. Hunger has ruled most of my life. I'm still trying to adapt to it. I think I may have to take up gum chewing to give my mouth something to do when it wants to chew on something and I'm not really hungry.

Wow! I'd given up hope on ever seeing that recipe! Thank you for dishing it out. It sounds really nice. When I get in the right frame of mind to make something, this might be one of those things I make.

I made coconut bark one time and it was pretty good but I couldn't help but notice that it was oily (how could it not be?) and coconut oil stalled me on the scale so that was the last time I made it. I think I did the same thing, adding those coconut flakes and some walnuts.

I'm down 2.6 lbs after my first LC Induction day. Looking forward to having a one at the beginning of my weight again. I'm thinking that might happen by around Wednesday.

Have a nice day, ladies. I'm just chilling inside, where it's warm. So nice to have a day off!

Afternoon ladies
Making my boys sit outside and read with me this afternoon. You would think I was the worst Mother ever. It is beautiful and they need the fresh air. This is also my way of making sure they are not sitting in their rooms texting instead of reading! My youngest is reading the Hunger Games. Anyone else ever read it?
Did not end up going to the seafood place so we went local. I had fish tacos and only ate the insides. I did have a light beer but it was my friend's birthday.
Cheryl those rotisserie chickens are awesome. I actually had one for lunch. I sat with the boys and put the whole chicken on a plate with plans of just eating some and cleaning the rest off the bone for later. But I slapped the chicken on a plate and acted like that was my entire lunch! My kids almost choked. " geez Mom are you eating all of that?". Great job on the first day of induction!! I always seem to stall or gain when I make any kind of allowed treats like the bark. Really kind of sucks! As for the butter I know it is allowed but I just feel like I can feel it loading on to my butt as I eat it.
So far today I have had
B: protein shake and one muffin
L: chicken not the whole thing
D: thinking chicken wings
Sweetie : you don't really seem to eat very much during the day. I try to make the rule not to eat after dinner which is usually done by 6. I have to admit I am a gum chewer. When I need something sweet I grab gum. Not sure if that is good or not. Not eating late is definitely a good choice though.
I also will try the tea thing if I just feel like having something.
Think I am going to skip the muffin this week. Getting kinda sick of them. Maybe I will cook up some bacon this afternoon.
Check in with everyone later!

Not me! Butter makes my butt better. When I'm doing LC, that is. I do the same thing with the chicken! Put right on a plate, grab a paper towel, a fork and the salt shaker. Then I attack it and eat as much as I want. I usually eat the skin and the dark meat on the legs and then the wings and maybe some meat along the back and the breasts and thighs get left for another time.

Mean Mommy! Someday they'll thank you for it. I never read or saw the Hunger Games. The concept sounded so strange to me that it didn't intrigue me enough to look into it. Can't imagine that I'd find it a good story. Have you read it?

I can't wait to start making those muffins! My pans are coming either tomorrow or Tuesday. I hope I like the Silicone ones. I read good reviews. Apparently there is no sticking and the muffins pop right out. I'm all for that. I don't know if they are microwave safe, though. They are meant to be used in the oven, with a cookie sheet underneath for support.

OMG, Penny. I love an ice cold beer. Was it good? Glad you had a little treat with those legal fish tacos.

I found a good recipe for the pork tenderloin and it cooks pretty rapidly in the oven. But it is very precise and it says that the oven temp needs to be very spot-on and that the oven can't be too leaky with the heat. I haven't baked enough things in it to know for sure about how steady the temp is. Maybe I need to do a test by putting one of those metal thermometers in there that hang on the racks. I would hate to ruin the meat cause they say with this recipe it comes out perfect every time.

One thing I wish I could come up with is a good LC gravy to put over meats. I know there is Hollandaise Sauce but that seems a bit temperamental to make. You need a double boiler or something. There is a way to make a LC cheese sauce but I don't know how good that would taste over meat. I have some Xanthan Gum but don't like how slimy things are with it. Maybe I can play around with plain gelatin as a thickener. That creeps me out, though. It's made from horse hooves.

I need to call my Mother. We haven't talked in a few days. I think she is probably feeling a little neglected right about now. Sometimes it's risky business calling to talk to her because she's the one person who can push my buttons and she does it with the greatest of ease. I'm too sensitive I guess. It takes two to tango.

Good evening ladies,

Cheryl congratulations on your 2.6lb lost, and you just started, thatís a good sign. Hey, I also took a peek at your boots, love them. I bought a pair of boots while visiting my sister in Georgia last winter, and havenít worn them since being back here. Well yesterday evening I was going out and decided to put them on, I immediately had to take them off, it was too warm. Oh, well maybe next yearÖ

Penpen Iím glad you all had a wonderful time at the fair. Iíve never heard of cheese nuggets before what are they? Something like chicken nuggets?
Your kids are going to love you for making them read. When I use to make my son sit down to read a book, he thought he was under punishment. He's all grown up now, but we laugh about it.

Sweetie Ė good luck on your new goal of no eating after 6:30pm.

Enjoy your evening all, and Iíll chat back again tomorrow.

Evening is my favorite time to eat so I won't even attempt to stop eating after a typical dinnertime. Not going there. I'd like to know what cheese nuggets are, too. I must have read "chicken nuggets" rather than what she actually wrote. I've seen a certain type of cheese that was on the Atkins Food Porn threads. It looks thick and fries up so nicely but I don't know where to find it or what it's called. That with a little marinara sauce and some grated parm would be so wonderful.

I wonder if you can fry a slab of mozzarella. I have a lot of those mozzarella balls. Bought them a while back when they were on sale. (Forgot about those! Now that I'm back to Atkins, they won't go to waste.) I wish we could eat more cheese per day than 4 oz. Cheese rocks, man!

I might try to fry up a piece of cheese tonight. Now I'm curious how it will work out! Have a good night, ladies. Be good or at least don't get caught.

The cheese nuggets are bad...you dip the cheese squares in batter and fry them. They use Wisconsin cheese which is really good. That was why I only had three because they are not on plan. But they are really good!!
Yes I read all three books from the Hunger Games series. It took me a long time to finally read them because when they were the "in thing" I just didn't have an interest. I finally picked them up when I bought my ereader and couldn't find anything that interested me when I was looking for something to buy. They ended up being really good. I usually end up reading the teenager books eventually like Harry Potter and the Twilight series. I love to read all kinds of stuff and I am always looking. As for my children and their reading....my youngest likes to read but my oldest looks at it like the death penalty. The only time he got into it a little was when he was away at school for six months. It was a military school and they couldn't do anything else so he actually enjoyed reading.
So I made some coleslaw this evening with sweetner, mayo, ACV and lemon juice. It is ok but I think would be good mixed with chicken and regular lettuce in a salad. Might give it a try one day this week for lunch.
I have a few friends who have a few of those muffin pans and they love them. Let me know how you like it. Girl I can't see you eating anything made from horses anything!!! You love them to much!
ugh I can't believe tomorrow is Monday already. I love my job but I need to make more money. My BF lives with me now but there are times I would like for him to find a place of his own so when he is getting on my nerves and can send him home. He suffers from depression and sometimes I just don't have the patience to deal with it. As selffish as it is, I can't afford to live in my house without his part of the "rent". I would really struggle to pay my bills every month and that burns me to no end.
He can be such a total snot when my kids are here and my CLAWS COME OUT! My kids are not perfect and they can be a pain in the butt, but I will not stand by and let anyone treat them badly. So we usually end up in a fight and it ruins the weekend that they are here with me.
I have 50/50 custody with my ex and that is always fun. I feel like everything is so much better over there and that they won't want to come and stay with me because of him sometimes. The ex has bought a new car, boat, 5 bedroom house, gotten remarried and gotten a dog all in the last three years. As you can tell he is suffering from our divorce!
Oh well, at least for now I am healthy, have a job and can pay my bills.
Ok didn't mean to ramble on....sleep tight everyone

You got that right! (Horse products.) Your cole slaw sounds pretty good! I love cole slaw. I will let you know how I like the muffin pans. It will be exciting to make something totally different than the usual bacon and egg quick meals. I have a tuna casserole recipe and I could put them in the muffin cups and make them more of an individual serving. Otherwise I tend to eat the whole casserole in one day. Probably still will.

My dog is driving me crazy!!! It's got to be Cabin Fever or something. She's as much work as a 2 year old child. Needy all the time. Looking for her next snack, cup of kibble, rawhide chip, baby carrots or biscuit. Going outside, coming inside, putting her coat and night light on, taking it back off, topping off her water bowl, petting her, yada, yada, yada. She's high maintenance lately! Please bring the Spring!!! I think what she wants this time is her medicine, which is an aspirin slipped into a piece of hot dog. I give her those for arthritic hips. She is right; her medicine is late.

I'm sorry to hear of your complicated situation. Is there anywhere the BF can go during the weekend you have your kids? If he's irritable with the kids, maybe it would be best for all concerned. He could find more peace someplace else on those days. Does he have family or friends?

Is he Bipolar or just depressive? It can be a real challenge to have a person with a mental disability in your life. I am the person in my family who struggles with mood/emotions/depression, etc. Anxiety, too. I feel for my family at times. Anyway, I digress.

Is it possible that he's just not the right man for you and your kids? I hear you saying you can't afford the rent without him but sometimes it's better to take the leap and take a chance rather than living in an unhappy situation for years. You can never get back the time. Life lessons I've learned the hard way.

I'll shut up now. Night, y'all! It's lights out for me. I hope Cisco is less needy tomorrow. I'm tempted to put her in the bathroom with her bed and water bowl and say "See ya in the morning, girl!" I just might. It's a huge bathroom and she has a great bed in there. She sleeps in there on her own every night for at least part of the night.

Hmm.....

Hi Everybody

hope that you all had a great weekend!
I am back on track after falling a bit off this weekend. I was at a party and the only dish was one with rice. Took as much food around the rice as I could.

I am traveling tomorrow so got a lot of packing and planning to do. It is to another province - KwaZulu Natal - lots of beach and sun - I hope. the weather looked a bit dull over this weekend.
Will only be back late Sunday evening.
Pen- my mum's recovery is a bit slow but she is getting better. Glad you had a great time with son. Re the BF I have no solutions except be a mama bear when it comes to your cubs. Those cheese things sound so yum!

Cheryl - has Cisco settled in? Maybe it is the changes in the weather that is getting to her? how are you doing re food on LC? I know that I am IT challenged - buut I cannot see the boots everyone is talking about? I can only see the silicone tray.
Tussah! yay! great to see you . Don't stress the no hunger. Careful of SF gum - it makes me hungry.
Thanks for the chili.
SL - how is progress going?
SWeettea - How do you eat the raw spinach and bacon? with dressing or just as?
Great going and glad you are energised.

I am hoping that TOM goes away soon so that I get my energy back and I feel back to normal.

Have a great day everybody!

Quick question to the group. What is everyone's take on these fat bombs? Do you think that would help me? Maybe I eat to much protein and not enough fat?
I don't see lots of extra fat in everyone elses menus.....

Hi Pen

I would suggest adding fat- it is good. I generally eat full fat and add a pat of butter to my veg. I don't always mention it but it is there.
I've added CO to my muffin for example. This makes the OMM more moist.

I've been thinking about me falling off over the weekend and I just feel like I have backtracked. I have got to get out of this bad habit. I know that better planning will help. I caved with the food at the party as I was hungry. Hubby and I did shopping for food before the party so was tired and grumpy. The atmosphere at the party was not great so I kept the snacks LC by eating nuts and then the single dish meal got to the table and I caved. I did not drink the sugary drinks.
today I am nursing a bit of a headache. Guess it is because I went offplan and then onplan today.
Picked up some cream cheese so will make something LC- I wanted to make LC pancakes.

I found a receipe for Lemon fat bombs. I will let you know if they are any good. You are supposed to freeze them. I love lemon flavored stuff, it has cream cheese, sour cream, butter, lemon juice and lemon extract.
Lola : Don't stress over falling off the wagon. You can't change the past, just look forward and try and figure your triggers. It is really hard if you are somewhere and your choices are limited. We are not perfect so just start again today and move forward. Look at something positive like the awesome job you have been doing at the gym!!
New goal the next few weeks: TO STAY AWAY FROM THE GIRLSCOUT COOKIES!!!! Several of my friends sell them and I buy to support their kids. I just need to make my kids eat them! I can't buy stuff I don't like because I like them all.

Hi Pen posting from my cell. fat bombs are acceptable on A72. lemon flavoured ones sound fresh and tasty. they should be good as long as there is no sugar. Thanks for the motivation. I actually could not figure out how to indicate my cheat and recovery in my siggy which left me a bit down as I saw that other LCFers are motoring on. Ah well. On we go.

Is "IT" challenged meaning internet? Maybe that's why you double-posted. No clue why the boots won't show up for you. I saved both pics to my computer and attached them to the message in the same way. They are not fashion boots but rugged working cold-weather boots. Farm friendly.

I'm glad to hear you say that your Mum is coming back from her illness. May she continue. Is your trip work-related? I hope it's a nice time for you. And I so agree about being a momma bear to her cubs. Love that image.

No, Cisco is a monster that I have created. Most people just feed their dog their regular kibble once or twice a day and the dog knows that's all there is. But I've given Cisco various things spaced throughout the day so once she's gotten one thing, she's soon ready and waiting for the next treat. I will have to do something to change all that. Maybe give her the biscuit, the carrots and her rawhide chip all at once and let her decide in what order to eat them.

WTG on eating around the rice. That's tough! A+ for effort. Hope you feel better (TOM-wise) soon. Will you be able to post here while you're on your trip? Hope so!

I have heard fat bombs mentioned but don't have a clue what they are. Maybe do a couple days of fat fasting and see if that gets things moving along better. Do a thread search for fat fast or fat fasts (getting the words just right is key in the search feature here) and read up about them. (Click "search", choose "advance search", type in the words, choose "topic (or subject) only (or you'll get every post on the board that mentions fat fasts) and then click Ok or Go or whatever it is. I forget.

Before I did all that, though, I'd just add more fat to my menu. If you like scrambled eggs the way I do, cook them in some butter and then add more butter when they are plated. Use extra dressing on your salad, tuna salad with lots of mayo is great, dipping chicken pieces in mayo is also good (when sour cream is allowed, mixing mayo and sour cream and making that your dip for chicken is pretty tasty.)

Lola, don't beat yourself up. Just learn from the experience. You know you got grumpy by going shopping before the party. You know you caved to some of the food there because you were unprepared. You didn't go whole-hog and say "screw it" so I wouldn't let it spoil how you feel that you're doing. It was one incident. Just don't let there be two or more.

Do you just suck them down? I'm so clueless about these fat bombs you ladies are talking about. Oh, man. If you feel you must buy the girlscout cookies, I would stick them into the basket that most grocery stores have for Food Pantry donations for the poor. I wouldn't be able to have stuff like that in my house without falling off the plan. I'd be hoovering them.

We all stumble, Lola. You know I'm no saint! Let it slide and learn from it. You get nowhere by beating yourself up. It just leads to more indiscretions and more poundage gained, etc. Vicious cycles! Don't they suck? They make no sense and yet we keep going round and round.

I have great news to report. I ate what I thought had to have been too much cheese last night. I was grazing and never felt like I quite had enough to eat. Not hunger but just wanted cheese. I even ended up eating the soft cream cheese out of the small tub it comes in, using a spoon. I put it away before I ate too much. And this morning I dropped 4 lbs! All water of course but it feels good to know I'm only 2.3 lbs away from the 100's again.

I was trying to make that fried cheese that I've seen on LCF. I don't have the Mexican cheese that they use so I kept trying different things using the solid block (or ball) of Mozzarella I had. It didn't work but I still found it tasty. So tasty that I wanted more and more of it. I had to stop myself or it would have been bad.

Yesterday I also ate some leftover chicken breast that I reheated in the microwave and then used mayo with seasonings for a dip. I ate tuna salad (just tuna and mayo), ate a 3-egg scramble in the morning with half and half and lots of butter, had 3 mugs of coffee with 1 oz of half and half in each cup, and about 4-5 oz of cheese. Then about 2 or 3 oz of cream cheese. Finally I stopped eating and went to bed.

It's snowing right now but it's going to change over to freezing rain very shortly. I'm going to go out and sweep things off with a broom so when the freezing rain begins, it won't be a crust on the snow. That sucks to clean up. I can hopefully then just sprinkle that salt stuff on the walkways to break through the ice. Fun fun in CT and the rest of the Northeast today. :/

Hi Everybody,

Had a fantastic weekend. Too BF out for Bday dinner and I managed to keep it LC with the exception of fried plantain, I love fried plantain Today was my weigh in and I'm down another 1 lb. That's 6lbs for the month, it's not excellent, but anything and everything is better than a gain.

I also took my measurements and I lost another 1" in total. That's 9 1/2" for the year. Actually, I'm more concern with my measurements than my weight, I so desperately want to get into a smaller size by April. Once a week I have this outfit hanging in my closet that I try on, I can't fasten it yet but I'm hoping .

cheryl - I'm so happy for you who cares if it's water!

Penpen - thanks for the update on cheese nuggets. I love cheese and those nuggets sound delicious.

I eat lots of both, fat & protein, but I realized the fat keeps me full and reduces my cravings, I especially love fried foods!

Lola - I agree with Penpen, don't worry about about falling, we all do that at some point, that's we have this terrific group together, so we can pick each other up.

I'm sorry I didn't read all of the posts through, I'll try to do that later this evening, I just wanted to pop by just in case I have company this evening.

Take care!

Nice losses of both lbs and inches, sldeal!! Nice attitude, too. I've never eaten plantain; fried or otherwise. What is it like? What exactly is it?

I made the pork tenderloin today! Below is the recipe and info that I just posted on my journal. Enjoy!

WOW!!! A definite keeper! I'll write out everything I did so you can make this yourself someday. My first impression was that it was slightly overcooked, so using a temp of 550 was the wrong decision. 500 probably would have been perfect.

Everything was soooo right. The sauce was so good that this tenderloin would make a very nice meal for when you have company. Almost too good to just make for yourself! Then nobody's there to compliment the heck out of you!

Pork Tenderloin

The rub:

1 t. garlic powder
1 t. dried oregano
1 t cumin (I used curry)
1 t. ground coriander
1 t. thyme (I didn't have any. Used a little bit of Italian seasoning that has Thyme in it.)
Salt (just wing it.)

Pork Tenderloin, 1.25 lbs (adjust rub to work for your size tenderloin)

*This is where I switched over to the other recipe because the one above said to sear the meat for 10 minutes on the stove. Reviewers said it tasted great but another review said it smoked up her entire house. That was all I needed to read. NO thank you.

Cooking instructions:

1. Find out the exact weight of the roast.
2. Preheat oven to 500-550 degrees F. (I did 550. Do 500-525, depending on your oven.) Preheat roasting pan, too. Set rack to lower 1/3 of oven.
3. Combine all the seasonings in a bowl and mix well (I didn't measure seasoning; just shook some into the bowl), then rub all over the meat well.
4. When oven reaches temperature, take out pan quickly and place meat on top. Place back in the lower 1/3 of your oven.
5. Cook at temperature for exactly 5.5 minutes per lb of meat.
6. Turn oven off and leave the door shut. Set timer for one hour.
7. After the hour is up, remove roast and pan and set on stovetop for 5-10 minutes to allow meat to rest. (I tented mine with tin foil; might not have been a good idea.)

Creamy Mustard Sauce:

3 T butter, melted
0.5-1 T of mustard (plain yellow)
2 T cream cheese

Melt butter in small pan. Add mustard and mix well. Turn off burner. Add cream cheese and mix well. Turn stove back on to low temp if it's not warm enough but watch closely and stir a lot to keep from separating.

*Now here's how I ended up doing it. I melted the butter in the microwave and pulled it out when it was done. Added the mustard and tried to mix it with a fork when the spoon wasn't working. Stuck back in the micro for a few more seconds. Mixed again and then added cream cheese. Things were just not mixing well so I used a hand blender and it came out GREAT! Thick, creamy and perfect. It would be a great idea to make a large batch and put it in a fondue pot or something to keep it warm.

This recipe was stated to be for 1 lb of tenderloin, so make more as required for your roast.

OMG, guys. This is something I will be making on a regular basis for as long as I'm doing LC. The sauce is really nice and might be great on other meats as well.

Cheryl, you think up the most amazing things to eat! It all sounds soooo good. Your job with the horses sounds so satisfying! I love to look back over my day and see that I actually moved my lazy butt and have something good to show for it. =D

Lola, I usually eat my salads with a sprinkle of o/v or just roll up the bacon with spinach leaves and eat as-is. As for the momentary insanity of eating "stuff" that you're not supposed to is...well...ok. We have ALL been there or we wouldn't be here! Brush it off and when you are tempted again, just remember how you felt this time. You are strong but you are NOT made of stone. None of us are!

sideal, 6lbs in a month is FREAKIN' AWESOME!!! You ladies are such an inspiration to me.

I wish I could go by body measurements but my body is sliding every-which-way since the surgery. My tummy is hanging and the rest of me has become twig-like except from the lovely new bat wings under my arms. =D I'm a mess but a happy, contented mess. I've been asked if I will have surgery to get rid of the saggy bits but I'm thinking I won't. I'm NOT getting into a bikini and I'm comfortable in my own skin no matter where it flaps. =O I'm just glad to be alive.

Here's my foods from yesterday.

B~ EAS protein shake 2 cups vanilla coffee with whipping cream and 2 splendas.
L~ boiled egg 2oz pepperoni slices 6 green olives 1 sf jello cup
D~ chicken breast with 1 cup spinach sauteed in 1 Tbsp butter

pen, very proud of you for protecting your kids. They will remember your efforts when they are adults and love you even more. Now, for the fat bombs, please give us your recipe!

Keep up the great work everybody! I need you all for daily inspiration!

sweetie ♥

ps

I am SO GLAD I found you all! You are a blessing to me.

Morning everyone!
Wow everyone is doing great!
SL : I second what Sweettea said - 6 lbs and 9 inches is FREAKIN AWESOME!!! Time for you to post a few daily menus so we can see how you are having such great success.
Sweettea : about the surgery - honey if you are comfortable with your own body then don't do it. You don't ever want to have any surgery unless you really need to. I see so many people end up with mrsa infections and it is a nightmare!! YOU feeling comfortable with your body is all the matters.
Ok so I made these lemon fat bombs that eveyone was talking about....how they couldn't stay away from them?? It was just like taking in exactly was it was, a big helping of nothing but fat! I think I will stick with Cheryl's suggestion and add the extras to my regular food. I thought with the addition of the cream cheese it would be good but not so much!!

Cheryl : awesome job on your losses. sorry to hear about your bad weather. I hate to say it but I would love some of that cold weather down here. It would be nice to wear some of my warmer clothes for a change! I don't think I would be to excited about driving in that stuff but to snuggle in the warm house and watch I would love! As for your puppy...I have a cat with the same habit. She thinks food 24/7! My kids call her Emma with junk in the trunk because she is a little fatty. It is funny, because I am so sensitive about weight I get mad even when they call her fat! They think I am crazy! Everytime I just walk into the direction of the kitchen she runs out there and starts meowing like crazy. My other cat even knows how to open the door where I keep the food.
So yesterday:
B; protein shake
L: spinach/chicken/tomato/bacon salad with blue cheese
D: repeat from lunch with coleslaw and blue cheese
S: last muffin/blueberries

Today:
B : protein shake
L: spinach salad/chicken/tomato/parm cheese/coleslaw
D; not sure yet

Cheryl : I was just reading a post about how poeple will do the following with cheese:
several slices of cheddar cheese (didn't say how thick)
put on parchment paper
micro about 4 mins.
They are suggesting using this as a cracker for taco fixings. Just break them up when they are done and store in a plastic bag
Just a little FYI because I know you have been playing with the cheese.

Sweetie, I enjoyed reading your latest post. You're a cutie. Jiggly cutie, but a cutie none the less. My sister lost a ton of weight and had a full-body lift. She looked amazing but she was never happy with the skin on her legs. They even did a revision and it would never stay taut. Then she had a mental health crisis that was triggered by taking a drug called Reglan and she was afraid to be alone in her own home and my Mother moved in with her until she felt like herself again but sis gained a bunch of weight back at that point. She's been struggling to get her weight back down every since. I'm sure she feels horrible about regaining after all that cosmetic surgery. That is some costly procedure.

If I were ever able to do some plastic surgery (when I get to goal), I'd definitely have the upper arms done, maybe my thighs and I'd have to do something about boobs. I have them but I'd like them to be smaller and "higher". I think my belly will be okay when I'm at goal. Like you said, I'm never going to wear a bikini. Another thing I might be tempted to have done is get the turkey waddle tightened. I have an annoying sag there that is bound to get worse the thinner I get.

Pen, I'm glad you will add more fat to your regular foods. I've never done a fat bomb but I trust your evaluation of them. People used to rave about Coconut Oil and they'd add some to every cup of coffee. I bought a big tub of it, certain I would love it too. But it put a layer of oil on the top of the coffee that would never stay mixed (should have known that before even trying it. We all know about oil and water not mixing) and so I couldn't handle that. It made my lips nice and slippery though!

You need to change cat food to something not so exciting! Maybe switch to the dry kind. That'll put the kibosh on that nonsense. Do you use the canned stuff? Don't let their persnicketiness prevent you from trying a less fabulous food. They'll give you the evil eye but eventually they will succumb and eat.

Thanks for that idea of cheese crackers. I haven't tried cheddar because it's so oily but they say that if you use deluxe slices of american cheese, these make better crackers. Same method, in the microwave. The cheese has to say "deluxe" on it. Not sure why. I'll shop for some when I look for the Mexican cheese next time.

I have been hacked, y'all. I opened an email from my landlady last night. It looked odd but it looked like it might be legit. Having opened it up and clicking on the link, it hacked me too. I woke up today to a bunch of emails from my contacts saying, "What was that all about?" Some had clicked the link, like I had. Now they're hacked. They may not know it yet, but they will soon.

I got one email from a lady at the farm who said, "I never open links when I don't know what they are for." I wrote back and told her she was a smart cookie. However my very smart nephew who is working on his doctorate at Notre Dame DID open it. It was a good enough email to make you think it might actually be from the person sending it.

So I ran the AVG stuff and it came up with no worms or whatever. I didn't believe that so I downloaded Malwarebytes (free version) and did the long computer scan. It too came up with nothing. So hopefully all I have to do is change my email account password and learn to be more careful in the future. OY!

I'm down another 0.8 today! Closing in on Onederland!!! Will eat the last of the pork tenderloin and make more of that sauce to go with it. I haven't had breakfast yet and I've been trying to make sure I eat fairly soon after I wake up (cause that's what Dr A says to do.) So, I guess I should stop typing and go make some scrambled eggs.

BBL!! Have a lovely day, everyone.

Iím so sorry I wasnít able to post back yesterday. I had a busy day and I just pooped afterwards.

Cheryl Ė youíre doing excellent. It appears youíve been losing every day, I hope it keeps going well for you. That pork tenderloin recipe sounds yummy plus easy. I hate cooking but Iím always a sucker for anything easy. This recipe sounds like a keeper.

If you never tried fried cheese or microwave cheese itís delicious! Whenever Iím craving chips or crackers Iíll fry or microwave my cheese. Be careful though, it can be addictive.

If youíre frying cheese it should be the hard cheese (Iíve tried pepper jack & cheddar and they both worked out great). Slice the cheese and fry in grease (Iíve used bacon fat and it worked well). The cheese will begin to melt and look like its dissolving. Just keep frying. Eventually it will look dry (or the edges will turn brown), thatís when you flip it over and fry the other side (not for too long). Youíll know whether or not itís ready to flip over, because if itís too soft itíll just fold up. I think the total cook time is about 10 minutes.

Iíve also cooked cheese in the microwave on parchment paper. You can cut the sandwich cheese in squares and place on parchment paper, careful to spread out because the cheese does spread. Nuke for a few seconds (watch it carefully because it does burn quickly).

When microwaving hard cheese, a lot of fat will pour out from the cheese, but both taste good. The sandwich cheese sometimes gets a bit puffy like crackers. It reminds me of Cheez Nips. You can eat with cream cheese, peanut butter, or dip. If you want, you can even make Ďmock breadí just take a whole slice of sandwich cheese, place on parchment paper, nuke for a few seconds (the secret is to not let it over cook because you donít want it crunchy like crackers) and use as bread. Iíve made ham & cheese sandwiches with this before. Sorry, I can't remember the exact number of seconds to cook, but everybodyís microwave varies by wattage's, just play with it.

Sweetie Ė Iím happy to see youíre happy with your body. At the end of the day we all have to be happy with ourselves and our bodies. I have lots of firming up to do, but I figured Iíll hit that road later, right now I just want to lose the inches/pounds, for now my clothes will cover all of the ridges & crevices. However, I have considered getting my boobs done, theyíre just too ďgod awfulĒ big and I've never been comfortable with them, even as a teenager, all of my friends were perhaps a ĎAí cup and I was a ĎBí cup, I think I skipped over the training bra growing up! I seem to remember waking up one day, and there they were poking all over the place. I use to keep my shoulders hunched just to keep classmates from noticing my boobs To this day I'm surprise I didn't grow up a hunch back.

Penpen Ė Iíve never heard of fat bombs before, actually, I thought you were talking about those hard candies called ďlemon headsĒ I luv those. Iím sorry the bombs didnít taste that great, but I agree with Cheryl, just add fat to your foods if you donít think youíre getting enough in. Iíve heard about coconut oil, but Iíve never tried it, but there are some people who swear by it and put it in everything.

Lola Ė have a safe trip and be careful, weíll chat when you get back, and hey, don't hurt your head if you slip while traveling. We all slip, we all get back up again.
