Dear lord! I got home from work and chewy walked past me picked up what I thought was his little racoon off my bedroom floor and walked past and I noticed he had a huge rat in his mouth! Thank god it was dead. I have a rat phobia anyways! I had my dauughters bf throw it over the fence out back. We have a doggie door so I am sure it probably came from outside but ewwww!

I feel the same way!!!
I would be disinfecting the whole house, including chewy's mouth!!
On the other hand what a good dog...protecting your home from big rats!!!!

Thanks for the Christmas music ML.
My Mom was having a bad afternoon.....she became even more confused than usual and then agitated.
She started pounding on the door and cut herself.
She was just fine this morning.
Thank goodness she finally calmed down.
I really can't understand what happened but afternoons are more difficult for her than mornings.
I was planing to have her over for lunch on Saturday.
I wanted her to see the tree and sing some carols with the family.
I will just make sure it is an early lunch!

Jem it did raise my blood sugar I can not help what has been said about the avocado, it did raise my blood sugar...probably because I ate it alone.

The CO does help feed the brain..what you said about someone's husband..it only makes me more sure I will always have it in my diet.... sounds like it is helping with that terrible problem with Al timers. Sorry cant spell the word. Yep Jem I know the brain needs small med. etc. as we also need it. But I have stopped eating much animal fat as this is where toxins are primary stored. I replace that fat with good oil and butter. I feel safer with the CO and EVOO. As poorly as our meat supply is today with the GMO, etc. I will always feel this way about animal fat.
And you know the shape my Tubes are in. Trying to clean them out!

And CO does reb-up the mobilizable. At least it does mine. Jem I will always feel and truly believe it has help me shed tons. And beside I love it!

Hi Heather. Maybe her meds needs to be re- adjusted.
I would have to have a sit-down with her doctors!
I do not know what she takes but maybe it is wearing off too soon in the evening.

I so hope she can come for lunch Saturday.

Mama pounded on herself once instead of something else and they said she was having small seizures. ask them to do a chem. panel. Mama was zero on sodium.
You know I am not a doctor nor a nurse. Just trying to help you find the causes.

I missed you Mama's Birthday!!!!!

It does feel like a LifeTime ago doesn't it but it also fells like yesterday in my heart...No you didn't miss mamas Birthday ....She was born late at night and it was very cold and her mama was 14 years old. She died from black lung when mama was less than two years old. I have pictures of her and mamas grandma. Her grandma and popa raised her and Aunt Kathryn. Heather me sorry..trying to keep eyes dry and am losing the struggle. Remembering things she told me is so dear to my heart.

Mama and aunt Kathryn shared life together growing up. They shared everything they had. They found a snuff box and wanted to share it. Aunt Kathryn and mama went and got their popaws ass. At the old homemade kitchen table they laid the snuff box down and decided since Aunt Kathryn was the oldest that she would chop it into, so they could share it. And mama was holding it steady. Down came the ass and off went mama's right thumb, at the first knuckle.

Aunt BettyLou was told to run as fast as she could to get the buggy doctor. Aunt BettyLou was mamas aunt. Her mamas sister. The lived deep in the bottoms of Davy Crockett land. Deep.
Well Aunt BettyLou took off down the dirt road as fast as her legs would take her. She was running so fast she passed a rabbit running in front of her!!

They buried mama's right thumb under a tree and mama took me there when I was in my early 20's. We walked into the old leaning two room house. I hope I never lose this memory. I was closer to mama that day than I think I have ever been in my life. We have pictures of the inside of the house my bio-dad took in the late 40's and early 50's. The outside too. And pictures of all of them lined up. I came from a very larger strong family.

I can remember making mud pies out by the chicken coop..........We had 7 cousins. Emma jean was born a year after Nathleen. We 3 had a great time in the country, running down dirt roads and making mud pies......Emma Jean died 2 years ago from lung cancer............
Mama and bio-dad moved to Memphis after I was born.

Merry Christmas.....we couldn't get any Christmas Cards this year........

I hope everyone has the very best Christmas this year. I made a Happy Birthday cake last year for the baby Jesus and will do it again in a couple of days.

Sis might know more...I will ask her..she is here, we texin..oldest son going to her house in Crockett county. he is going to get another deer. Tennessee and Mississippi have had special hunts to rid the deers of some does...They are causing people to have wreaks and die. In the winter time they are all up and down the interstate going to Nashville...I seen a large herd 2004 during a ice storm. We drove to have Christmas at sis's our first Christmas without mama.

I am out of CO. I just drank coffee and I wanted oil. I saw right in front of me a tiny bottle of ( JEM )
Olive oil. Weird huuuuu. But Jem it si made by Jem..I put a small amount in my first mug of coffee. Then with my second and last mug I put a full tablespoon in it. Guys it was GREAT!!!!!!

I wonder if anyone else has done this?
My first and NOT last time. EVOO here me comes! :jumping up and down:

Coming home again feels just as it did the day I came back home, Oct. 15th, 2011. A day minus one, when mama died.....2004...We went to Tennessee the last part of 2007. Mid-month in November......

Wow, you are amazingly loving and supportive to get up at three and cook him a good breakfast.
I get up at 5 to make coffee for my DH who leaves around 5:30.
He will not each much that early so I usually just make him some bacon.
It is so nice to have that quite time together.

My sister and her husband shot a deer with their car a few years back.
Put a dent in their car, but they were ok. They were on a road trip so I believe they gave it so someone who passed by.
Actually I am not sure if they shot it or if the deer was just suicidal.
Just think....you have got the whole forest to run in and you run right into a car

i believe i was too tempted by what others around me were eating. One blessing has occurred. I no longer have the CAPACITY to eat as much quantity as in the past. I have monitored myself to back off when i feel full. This is a gift of the Gods, and i am grateful. I am doing ATKINS 72 beginning Dec 26, until retirement 2/15/13, then slowly segue-ing back to more salads and veggies.I hope the 7-8 week plan will help jump start some serious weightloss, as portion control will be a significant part of the equation. There are several of us here who are starting about the same time.
I have never done 72 so this will be my first time.
I have basically been stalled for a year.
I will stay the corse until I lose a significant amount of weight and then add back some cream and cream cheese.

Heather sorry about mom's day. Mine also went through periods like that. Bring her home. It will be comforting for both of you. Make sure the dr knows what happened. I have learned you have to be so proactive in these situations.

I too think of loved ones especially now during the holidays and my beloved pets too. My parents have been gone almost 2 years and everything if still fresh and painful. This is the first Xmas without FIL too. At least BIL is home and safe.

I have to go for blood tests as well. One thing that never got better was my cholesterol, in fact it went higher in number and i had to increase my meds. I thought avacado was your new friend ML. I even googled it like you told me to. Well you know how sensitive our metabolisms are and we have old age diseases!!! Oh the Golden Years.

Hi Linda!! yes I told him good dog and gave him lots of praise. While I dont want him bringing stuff like that into the house I would rather he killed them vs let them come in our yard or worse yet our house! My only concern was that It could've been a poisoned one someone threw over the fence that he just picked up but he acted fine last night and this morning so probably not.

In the southern Mediterranean, (think Greece), they grow olives and olive oil is used for most everything including desserts.
Not only is it a condiment at the table for dipping and pouring but also used for cooking/sauteeing/searing w/o the worry of temp.

Those peop have high rate of longevity and sharpness.

Just food for thought.

That said, if you or family have Costco membership, a big jar of Nutiva is $21.

I probably use EVOO the most then CO. Butter is last even though I believe it is one of the most healthy fats.
Problem is if I don't use it pretty quick, it starts to taste like the stuff in the fridge all mixed together.

I initally thought that you were going by the prebook list but I think it allows some cream, right?
I never realized that ANY Atkins protocol did not allow cream!!

Dh is off now until after Christmas and we are going to New Mexico to see if they have any sites available at a campground there.It would be so much better,it's a REAL campground with wi-fi and everythingThe problem is there are SOOOOOOO many workers here It would only be about 50 miles from work instead of 140!
