BIL better ,but the colostomy clogged up. At first they said he may need surgery again, but the surgeon said not necessary. So worried. Well he is out of the nursing facility and will come home with us from the hospital. Everything is ready. I have to go pick up his things and machines and buy him some new clothes to come home in.
Heather, many in my family are also teachers including me so it hit home on several levels. If it wern't for my grandkids I would not celebrate this Chriatmas. All this and no FIL for the first time. Heather ask ML to post her 72 List. We are experts with this plan, especially her. It really does work and a great way to get started. Rainy weather lately so it takes more time to get around town. Love and hugs to you all. Linda |

I am finding it a little more difficult to send my daughter off to school....I am glad she has a cell phone and can call me, I guess. ![]() I will be glad when winter break starts. Sure wish I could feel that our schools are really a safe place for children.

I found this on LCF. Someone else posted it. I have searched for this list for many years!!
This is the way I lost 17 pounds in 1972. I lost 17 pounds in two weeks!! I am very serious about this. This is the list our doctor gave my dad in 1972, before Dr. Atkins book came out "Dr. Atkins' Diet Revolution". ON THIS DIET YOU MUST TAKE A MULTIPLE VITAMIN AND MINERAL CAPSULE! FOODS Meat (except liver and liver sausage) Fish (except wine sauce herring) Seafood (except oysters) Poultry (nothing to be breaded or floured, No BBQ sauce or catsup) Eggs (fixed any way) Natural Cheese (with wax around) (No cottage cheese, processed or yogurt) Butter Fat Salt/Pepper and other seasonings/read very carefully, look 4 hidden sugar. Artificial Sweetners Mustard & Horseradish Mayonnaise * I am going to make my own. Sour Cream Dressing * Low Calorie Dressing * w/no sugar Mushrooms (1T) Beef or Chicken boullion broth (No other soups) *These items contain 2 cal. Of sugar per Tablespoon – DO NOT use excessively ** If desired as often as listed Fried Pork Rinds (can be used as breading) Sugar Free Gum (NO sugar free candy or other dietetic foods) Cool Whip topping * D-Zerta Jello and D-Zerta topping Plain Knox Gelatin and sugar free kool-aid (mix together to make jello) 1C of lettuce (twice a day) ** NO OTHER VEGETABLES NO FRUIT BEVERAGES Water (1/2 your weight in oz.) Sugar Free Soda Sugar Free Kool-Aid Black Coffee and tea Hard Liquor: (NO wine except dry vermouth, NO apricot brandy, drambouye, Southern Comfort, Liquorers) NO regular beer Lite Beer OK – Micholob Lite or Miller Lite This is the LIST I keep referring too. This is my handbook/with the 72' book

Love all of you so much. Please forgive my not posting. My body is not doing too well, and my PC is even doing worse. I am good , though, and in spite of all, happy and still not eating anything not on list. Not losing major amounts, but losing. Very close to onederland. so I am proud of the year overall. Don't expect many posts, rough to sit for long, also very exasperating with cranky PC. LOVE LOVE LOVE you and wish you Merry Christmas and hoping that the New Year will hold much more happiness for us all.. xoxoxo

Hello my dears, love you all! Please understand that I just can't get online much between PC troubles and my aches and pains. So I really can't get to email and the like. You will know when I am back! LOL You will not be able to shut me up. ** smiles** Looking back at the year, top of my list is my gratitude to my dear ML and all of you here.

ML – I’ve been reading through your posts and I’m so inspired by your journey. Thanks for not giving up and for sharing your story with us. I started my LC today and like you decided to follow Atkins 72. This isn't my first attempt, I've had many journeys but I'm hoping this to be my last struggle. I’ll be visiting you often for inspiration with hopes of being able to share my success story.

Hello
I hope there is still some life in here. I am using DANDR and I have lost 10 lbs at the end of my first week! I have used this Atkins before about 10 yrs ago and lost a total of 82 lbs so I know it works for me. The weight only snuck up on me again in the past four years so I actually kept it off for around 6 years.
I know I am in this for the long haul and want to lose this weight and not pick it up again in a few years. ![]() |
