I am 5'3" and I weigh 159.2
and I am 61.6 yrs. old.....Yes I would love to see what JUDDD says now on the numbers for UD and DD..THANK U!

I didn't think you kept changing plans I just got the feeling you were getting discouraged and you mentioned WW. That's all I was referring to. I think we all know we have to find what works for each of us and I think alot of people end up tweaking their plans to break stalls ect.. I think you are one of the most inspiring people on here ML so whatever you do I am sure you will reach your goals!

Ok for 20% weight loss mode it says 1630UD/326DD
...... for 30% weight loss mode it says 1630UD/489DD
For 40% weightloss/maintenance 1630ud/652dd
most people on maintenance are at 50-60% difference between UD and DD so you would likely lose even on the 40% plan. Besides you have less than 10 lbs to go so your almost done!

Shanan it is a lot like WW. I have lost a few over the years on that woe. Weight Watchers is kcals and fat control with portion control. You think I am one of the most inspiring people on here. Wow Shanan I thank you, but me is just like you and the thousands of other's on here. Working hard to reach a good comforting weight and trying to keep it off. I am not getting discouraged. I just miss cheese dripping from my fingers and eggs lining up to be cracked and that 16 ounce rib-eye rolling in real butter. I do hope to find the kind Heather and you have found. Yall's butter sounds delish!
I just finished cooking whole oats for H. NOW he can pack away some Carbage!! He likes it cooked with whole milk and some HWC splashed in. It smelled divine!
Oh and he has to have it covered in white sugar! With raisins

Okay so I am in the third %.
I am in pre-maintenance so eating 600 something on a DD and eating at least 1,300 is not that far off.
The whole idea of this WOE is to trick the body, right? On the DD you lose and to turn around and eat on that UD will not let you go into starvation mood.
It is kind of in a way like splitting hairs.
I for sure understand the ones that are very touchy on a DD. I did think the first 2 weeks it would be a walk in the park, but now I have lost most of my cocky thoughts.

I have lost 13 pounds since starting this way. That is a lot after not losing since March. My sister does not see it that way. She can not understand why a 13 pound loss, since 8.21 is a big deal. Well after losing around 141# it is a very big deal for me.
as Fustus on Gunsmoke said--Dont you see?

Shanan I would really be too worried to eat that much on a UD. It may cause a rise in B-sugar.... From all that we have talked about the most sense I can come away with is, on my DD I should lower it to 300 kcals. Thta would give it more balance, wouldn't it??

Gosh I miss being able to eat all the meat eggs and cheese I want!
Must remind myself by the minute why I am on this WOE now.
I had stopped losing since March!

It is exciting to finally see the scale go down.
I think those 2 beers I drank messed me up. A very good reason to forgo any till at least after the first of January. Well I may have a drink or two during the holidays but it will not be beer.

I have been doing most of the holiday cooking for many years. If I can get into the low 40's and hold it till Christmas Eve I might just eat a Carbage meal

Holding is the true test!
And the 100+ I have lost was a walk in the park compared to this!
You must feel the same way........

I am keeping a binder diary of every bite and drink. I am still logging in my food at that site I use, but it is hard to keep it in here daily. I can understand completely if you and others find it just too difficult.

WE got a call today from my sister. She said as soon as the contract is up on the house in Tennessee a family wants to buy it. We are trying to find it. So far no luck. H. keeps up (sometimes) with all of that and he can not remember where he put it.

But we are getting the place next door in March. Did I forget to tell yall? Gosh if I did I am so sorry. And thank you Heather for asking about it. I fell in love the moment I walked in the front door.

They are moving somewhere up north to be closer to his daddy and their grand kids. He retires from the Post Office in March.
In 6 days we will have been in our bus for one YEAR! WOW Our poor dogs are getting so bored and gaining weight, a little bit. I bet muscles have turned to blubber. If they can hang in till March they will have their very own person doggie door to go outside and roll and run and breath in fresh air.

It sits on 2 acres and is a 3 bedroom mobile home with a huge den built on it. It is right here beside us. I can see it from my bed. Gidget is sitting up tall looking at the back of the bus. She can hear their dog barking. The wind is strong tonight and it is helping the sound met her little black ears. She is such a cute dog. We don't know what she is. She weighs around 12 pounds now. She weighed about 9 when we moved back home.

The den has a storm shelter built in it. He put it in and built the den around it. He did a very good job on everything he did to the home. The big bedroom is on one end ant the other two with bathroom on the other end. MY kitchen is huge! It has an island in the middle with the sink in it!!! Cabinets OH ME it has so many. I will have so MUCH FUN moving in!!!!!
Two pantry's! 2 of them!!!
All of the appliances stay. The fridge has some much room I want have any trouble cooking next years Christmas dinner with it. Plus it has a closed in patio out back. It is where the dogs have their own door to come in and out at. They will have to ask to be let back in the house.

It has a rock garden out back and we each have our own huge storage rooms!!!
Fencing too!
Huge cane is so pretty!

Our bedroom has a his and hers closet! And our bathroom has a huge not round bathtub with a free standing shower. I LOVE THE PLACE!!!

They have put new carpet in but we will be taking it out when we can. I don't like carpet. Its nice and all that but when you live in the country carpet is a no no for me.
We are going to bud a chicken coop and maybe a rabbit hutch or two. Good for many reasons. I love chickens and rabbits!
I just checked my blood sugar after a day of veggies and it is 105. Not bad!

I even have a few kcals left and just may eat one ounce of apple. I got several different kinds last week when I went food shopping. H. needs one so me just might wash it real good with soap and water and chow down on a huge ounce!!!

ML, Good morning (It is still morning here)

I am so happy for you, your house sounds like it is going to make a wonderful home. You will be moving in the spring!
The kitchen sounds wonderful!

Someday I hope we are able to move on to 2 acres. Would love to have chicken, goats, more cats and more bunnies!
I just love reading your post, they are so interesting and you have a way with words! Do you journal?

105 after a day of vegetables is good! I am so glad that you still check your blood sugar. I checked mine yesterday. I had eaten SF syrup and I wanted to see if in caused a rise in my blood sugar. It did not, it was 79.

ML I think from what I have read on the juddd site the 1630 ud calculation for you is your basic metibolic rate minus 14%. So you would be eating 14% less calories than your body needs to maintain your current weight on your upday. 300+ calories a day on your down day is the strictest weightloss mode. I wonder if that would effect your blood sugar by not getting enough food? If you eat the additional calories on your upday and they are low carb how would it raise your blood sugar? I think your loss so far has been good.

Wow! ML
What a wealth of information!
You have to eat 1,008 calories a day to lose 1 pound a week.
That seems so low to me.
Is that about what you are averaging with you UD DD?

So you got out of that, if I eat 1,008 kcals a day I will lose the pound a week? Heather what should my % be on fat and protein??

This does not sound right to me.

You are eating a lot more fat than that.

That picture of my daughter and me was over a year ago. I think I was in the 240s or so. My daughter has grow up so much in a year.

That is the truth!
You are right....I really think that is one of the reasons I stalled.

I am more careful now and I just eat or or two clouds.
Also I make sure I never get full!!!
I think that is key for me!!
I have learned you can't go crazy with the legal foods!

I love you ladies with all my heart but this just gives me such a huge brain cramp. I can;t even look at it. It makes loads of sense to me that it is about 1,500 to maintain your weight and 1,000 to lose a pound a week. It also makes sense to me that 58 is a good number for protein. I am not up to it at the moment but for me it would be useful to have a quick reference guide of some samples of one meal's portion of protein. For instance

how many calories, fat grams, protein grams, carbs each in

one egg
one ounce cheese
3 oz tuna
3 oz chicken breast

etc and other good sources of protein

I have no problems keeping fat high and carbs low, just how to fit in the correct protein without going over.

Anyway... I am in fibro heck at the moment. so not thinking very clearly.

Cathleen I really hope you feel better! Yes it seems confusing.
ML I think the 1000 calories a day seems so low too. Whatever you are doing now is working I guess I would just continue that as long as its livable for you.

It is giving me a brain cramp to Cathleen.

Ya'll seen how fast I was losing. Well it is sitting again. And I was just trying to find out why and what to do. I'm sorry for causing so much confusion. It was not my intention.

Cathleen I am sorry the fibro is messing with you. I do hope you feel better soon
