On the DD you lose and to turn around and eat on that UD will not let you go into starvation mood. It is kind of in a way like splitting hairs. I for sure understand the ones that are very touchy on a DD. I did think the first 2 weeks it would be a walk in the park, but now I have lost most of my cocky thoughts. I have lost 13 pounds since starting this way. That is a lot after not losing since March. My sister does not see it that way. She can not understand why a 13 pound loss, since 8.21 is a big deal. Well after losing around 141# it is a very big deal for me. as Fustus on Gunsmoke said--Dont you see? ![]() Shanan I would really be too worried to eat that much on a UD. It may cause a rise in B-sugar.... From all that we have talked about the most sense I can come away with is, on my DD I should lower it to 300 kcals. ML I think from what I have read on the juddd site the 1630 ud calculation for you is your basic metibolic rate minus 14%. So you would be eating 14% less calories than your body needs to maintain your current weight on your upday. 300+ calories a day on your down day is the strictest weightloss mode. I wonder if that would effect your blood sugar by not getting enough food? If you eat the additional calories on your upday and they are low carb how would it raise your blood sugar? I think your loss so far has been good.

I love you ladies with all my heart but this just gives me such a huge brain cramp. I can;t even look at it. It makes loads of sense to me that it is about 1,500 to maintain your weight and 1,000 to lose a pound a week. It also makes sense to me that 58 is a good number for protein. I am not up to it at the moment but for me it would be useful to have a quick reference guide of some samples of one meal's portion of protein. For instance
how many calories, fat grams, protein grams, carbs each in one egg one ounce cheese 3 oz tuna 3 oz chicken breast etc and other good sources of protein I have no problems keeping fat high and carbs low, just how to fit in the correct protein without going over. Anyway... I am in fibro heck at the moment. so not thinking very clearly. xoxoxo
