ML, lol! Naw, my goal of minus 25 took me 6+ months. I only recently started going hard core at this WOE.
. I finally "get" it-that I do not lose consistently unless I reduce the calories. I called my mom yesterday for her birthday and told her about my 30 pound weight loss and thanked her for giving me her slow metabolism. I said: But grandma's not fat! (And neither is my mom.) She said HER grandma, my great-grandma, was 5 feet tall AND wide.![]() I am so glad to hear you say that about your saddle bags, ML!!! That is exactly what has lost the most noticably-My bum and upper back legs. Crazy! |

I am barely 5' 3"
DH said I just was that tall. So I must be shrinking. I was a full 5 3 when I was young. Those saddle bags was the worse part of me. Well thats not the worse. The worse was my Sumo shoulders....My youngest said that about the picture on the bottom right. In that red box shirt. It was hiding layers, I thought. Oh I hated myself then. You know trying to like myself again is very hard work...Its as hard as losing parts of me......I have so many crazy mixed emotions when I sit here and look at the old me and knowing the fight has just begun. My biggest wish is that I had had that knowing moment when I was young...... I always thought I could do it tomorrow......Tomorrow never comes...... Must do it today............................................. .................................................. ...........................

Today I ate:
egg salad, again. same way everyday I ate salmon tonight. I drained some from a can and mixed it with my egg salad and I still feel sick to my stomach. Ant doing that again.Fried in patties with egg I like. The other way I tried today was horrible. Gave me horrible gas and upset stomach ![]() ![]() I am so ready to go shopping tomorrow. I do have a few pieces of bacon left. I will cook it with some eggs before we leave. Can not leave here unfed...... I wonder if Whole Food is cooking salmon like Wild Oats did? Wonderful stuff they cooked. Nutiva I am coming to get you in the morning ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Yes, ML. That's the only thing I can think of as to why I'm finally losing successfully and consistently. 4.8 in a week is a .68 daily average. Not too shabby. I only hope it continues.

Susan how much did you limit your calories to? I was just wondering since I am mixing low carb with JUDDD.
I gained some this week like almost 2lbs. But I looked at my weekly summary on my fitpal and I didn't realize that I missed my UD calories every UD this week by over 1000 calories! So if I didn't do it right I can only blame myself. I am going to see if I can't get those numbers up where they are supposed to be this week. |

I am not doing the official up days down days thing , but I know that unless you have a real "up" up day once in a while, you are not going to fool your body out of starvation mode so it burns well again.
I went to grocery store this morning and got Braggs vinegar. Am going to have it on my veggies as well as later today will see if I can drink it in water. I sure would like to have less pain. Worth a try. It tastes great on my salads... lots different than plain white vinegar. yum. So now I am going back to my beads. My show is in 5 weeks and I am already getting nervous. LOL I am such a wimp. Hope you all have a super Saturday! |

Wow, so much info and posts. I will have to do this page by page.
ML is phenomenal!! Her spirit and care has touched us all and I am grateful for her friendship and continued support everyday. Heather, well out ML I would have been long gone and fat again. It has been struggle but I am getting there and so will you. It took me 1 year to lose 40 and then stalled for at least 5 months. I am glad your daughter is OK and enjoying summer. You are only young once!! I love my girls and grandkids so much. They are mine, problems and all. I had a hysterectomy at 28 and so was blessed to raise them from such a young age. The sides of my feet still hurt a week later from the heels and they were low too. If I do it again I will have to pa them!! Your mom is in my prayers every night. Love the Olympics and all our winners are amazing. On to page 2 Linda |

Didi, sound good and looking forward to following your journey to success! Good thoughts on the sour cream. May try that.
ML I got the Stevia from a recommendation from either ebeads or Marge. It is called NOW. However I think Didi said you can get it at Whole foods so will try that when I run out. It comes with the tinniest scoop and a level one is sufficient for a 16 oz of tea. That's what I use it for now. I put cinnamon in my coffee, no sugar in it, to lower cholesterol so leave the sweetener out.I think on the previous thread I listed what is and is not in the ingredients. I don't use hot sauce. I like it and I'll try adding it after the food is cooked. DH puts it on everything. We have an assortment in the frig. I am not worried about over eating based on tracking ratios. Later on maintenance I will follow it. I am cutting down on the protein though and I think that's why I am losing. I only eat when hungry and I seem to be not as ravenous at times. SL that was me how mentioned the skirt steak. Would love the recipe. I was just frying it when I first started Atkins and eating so much meat I was trying to find cheaper cuts, but like we all agree the higher ends are so much tastier!!! I don't have enough storage but when I was little my parents would buy a side of beef and put it in a freezer. As I have said before DH drinks Braggs almost daily. I can't stand it. Well maybe I will try the Stevia in it. Kitty, I have always wanted a basement. Very few out here in Cali. I love watching the DIY shows and how they re do basements. It would keep the kids mess out of sight. Next page Linda |

I guess we are in the same boat abut portion control.. One bite and I am a goner too. I have a cousin by marriage who had the gastric surgery and gained all back.. I read somewhere that this is not uncommon. She just eats and had has never lost an ounce since You have to batten down the hatches and we have to prepare for fire season and of course our friendly earthquakes. Don't know which ones are worse.
Interesting, all the weight loss plans. SL, sounds like you are OK on the JUDD. 5 bites?? I would probably use a steam shovel per each bite. Soontobe, how is your plan working? The recipe sounds like it would except for the honey. I love honey and crunchy peanut butter sandwiches. Used to be almost a daily snack before Atkins. Linda |
