Oh ML, you want a home and I would like to drive away from mine in an RV! If I had all my stuff in a bus, I'd be tempted to drive it off a cliff! My stuff is not all that nice, and I'd rather pack a suitcase and go!

Well after 43 years it is hard to throw out everything. I have done away with a lot, as has dh. I cant give some things away. But when I do unpack again I will be finding a place for the things I have left and if it want fit, well I will do away with it.....

I wanted to do the same thing.
Thats what has me in this fix now.
We sold the house after my mama died.
It had nothing to do with moving to Tenn.

I will get to unpack, One More Time For The Last Time......

Yes, we are horrible carnivores! But it's true, I have wished for a glut in the market.

I used to belong to BJ's wholesale and buy ribeye slabs for about 6-6.50 a lb. You can age in the fridge and just cut off steaks as needed. Or freeze some too. Hard core!

I feel the same ways about our family here, suffer when there are issues and rejoice in the successes. I get my coffee in the am and come here immediately and it helps me so much. The support is so great. I never really developed friendships while the kids were growing up. It was a mistake I regret. Never went shopping or out on the town with a girlfriend ever. I do admit I have a very close relationship with my sisters and they are the only ones I have ever had phone conversations with. Always the kids kids kids. They were always with us from day one. They were 5 and 7 at the time I became their mother, they are now 30 and 32. They came with baggage and until his day I am suffering for it. DH had full custody of them so they were with us on our first date!!! I love them dearly but they continue to suffer the ill effects of their biological mother abandoning them at an early age.

Well I tried something. I cut my protein intake yesterday. Only 1 Tb of CO in the am. Lost a lb. Not sure if it will come back as I was sick for 2 days and didn't really eat anything but tried to drink a lot of water. I am sticking to strict 72 version until Aug 20th when I have a Dr appt. I will add carbs slowly at that time. I still have 17 lbs to get to goal weight and I am determined to get it off. Not slipping as much as before.

Heather, how is your plan going? How is daughter's arm? My hip hip/thigh is significantly better. I had to wear low heels to an event Sat. It was hilarious. I felt like I was going to topple over any minute. I am not used to heels anymore.

Linda
Hi Linda!!
I am still playing catchup on this thread....so much good stuff!!!
My daughter's ankle is fine now....summer is back in full swing around here.
She has been spending time with cousins and second cousins!!

Summer time and the living is easy!! (Love that song)

You were brave to put you feet into a pair of heals!!!
I quit high heals when I became pregnant with my first 22 years ago!
Even so, I fell twice while I was caring my youngest baby. I am so short that some times I think about putting on a pair every once and a while, but that would mean holding on to my husband for dear life the whole time!

I really admire you stick-to-itiveness (Heck, I don't know how to spell that but you know what I mean) in regards to you way of eating.
17 pounds is very doable!!!!

Linda, I am also so impressed with the fact that you took those to kids in and raised them as your own!
That must have taken an extraordinary amount of love and patients!
It takes a very special person to do that!

My computer froze up. It hasn't messed up on me in a while. I just saw on the nightly news computers are crashing because of the Olimpics. I am sure this is not why mine crashed, this time.

Oh me too. And like your neighbor I ant moving again! When I unpack this time I ant repacking. Now if my 2 grown sons decide we all need to move to a higher elavation. Well okay, I will do that. But only that!
I'm tired of moving.

Thank you so much!
She has been so delightful recently.
Today she wanted to make sure I left her in time to see my husband who came home for lunch. Even though her life is difficult she is always think of others.
I guess it helps to think of others rather than wallow in your own troubles. I could learn a thing or two from her!

It never bothered me doing the cleaning and such. As long as I am in it, I am happy!

Hard to do chores when the pool pump is running. Every summer my dh has been like " are you gona get out and cook supper. I say yea bring me the food and grill and I will cook it from here!
This is the first summer in a while I have not had myself swimming everyday!
I am trying to post a pix of me last year at the begining of summer. I put lady bugs all over my hat and shirt. I did it for the vegan grand daughter. Boy I was hummmmm (fluffie)

It is on fat secrets if anyone wants to see it. I know I am too puter dummie to do this....

Have yall seen zero carb bread?

Didi, I discovered flat iron steak at Costco. For the price it was a big package. It was tender and really good. Skirt steak to me is a tougher cut. Tri tips I usually roast and they are good, but of course the higher end cuts of meat are the best. I envy you having a basement. I always wanted one . Sounds like you are on track. Are you doing induction? Is sour cream allowed? I love it.

ML way to go on the weight loss. You just had to find the right path to take. I am still stumbling but slowly finding the right path for me to begin Aug 20th. All your new foods are great and I know you will enjoy OWL so much more. I am so happy for you.

I tried the new Stevia I bought from ebay for the first time. The smallest scoop I have ever seen. It really perks up the flavor and yummy sweet, like a treat.

Well let's talk about forgetting names. Either ebeads or Marge suggested the Stevia so thanks to whoever told me about it. My memory is so bad and getting worse. I can walk from the bedroom to the kitchen and forget what I wanted. I use Post-It pads for everything.

I just use lettuce or cheese in place of it.

By the way ML I have dyslexia and can not spell at all so don't feel bad.

The only food I have added is the spinach. And I have only ate that once so far.
Fixing to eat in a few minutes.

Eating my last 3 chicken things fried with bacon grease with hot sauce splashed in it. And I am going to scramble 3 or 4 eggs with a little of the spinach.

I get up and have to sit back down because I forget why I stood up

Linda what did you put the stevia in?
I almost forgot I need some of that too at whole Foods!
